Experiencia fantástica: I am a goober who hasn’t been to a dentist in nearly 10 years, after having some serious pain and worsening symptoms I did some research and gave Blue Cedar a call. I told the receptionist up front that I was quite anxious about coming in, she assured me that the whole staff was absolutely lovely - and they were! I spent most of my appointment gabbing with the aptly named Gabby, who was so welcoming and enjoyable to be around. She helped calm my nerves, and avoided any painful areas the best she could. Dr Ian was not only knowledgeable, but very personable, he took his time showing me my X-rays and explaining everything that might need done. I also enjoyed him regaling me with different studies and facts as he worked on my teeth. I will be returning for my treatment plan, and am now (mostly) looking forward to the visit.

The Dental Assistants were happy, professional and a delight to be around. The atmosphere in the office is relaxed and friendly. Dr. Ian is exceptional. I got some crown and bridge work done. He explained the procedure every step of the way, demonstrated techniques and went out of his way to set my mind at ease, then followed up with a phone call the next day just to make sure everything was ok. The experience was educational and rewarding. I will definitely be returning to Blue Cedar for my dental needs.

Experiencia negativa: Blue Cedar Dentistry has great dentists. The last appointment I had I explained I was on Medicare and they told me they didn't take Medicare. So with a sad heart I left the office trying to figure out what I was going to do for a dentist. Monday I received a message that a cleaning was scheduled for Friday at 3pm did I want to accept or cancel? I left a message that they didn't take my insurance anymore. The office actually called me and the woman said yes we take your insurance so you need to come in for your cleaning. I told her when I was in the last time they said they didn't take my sublamental insurance so I guess I needed to cancel the appointment. She actually argued with me and said " you need to come to your appointment. So I made special arrangements to go to Bolivar to go to the dentist. I get there and she wants me to fill out new forms and needs copies of my insurance. Asks for a signature to authorize service. Wait... Please make sure you accept my insurance. She looks it up and says " no we don't accept that insurance. Then asks me to sign saying I want to authorize service. Like I'm going to use them because she TOLD me they accepted my insurance on the phone and I was just going to pay out of pocket now that I was there. Incompadence is a hard pill to swallow but it definitely got my attention. Beware of liars and cheats.

Experiencia fantástica: My teeth are extremely sensitive to cold and water that when they did my filling on my left side, I didn’t feel a thing were normally with my past dentist visit with a different dentist provider. I feel twins of pain throughout the filling. This was a great experience for me and they made sure to keep me informed of each visit while they’re doing what they’re doing absolutely love them. I don’t see myself changing providers anytime soon.

I hated the idea of going to the dentist, so much so I hadn't gone since I was a kid, but they were very welcoming when I went in for an evaluation. I needed to have a wisdom tooth removed and Dr. Ian got me in, gave me laughing gas and pulled my tooth in what seemed like 30 minutes. While I was very nervous about getting it pulled, they did everything they could to make me comfortable and made it a quick process. I highly recommend them to anyone needing dental work done, you won't be disappointed.

Experiencia fantástica: I needed to find a dentist in our area and made an appointment for a cleaning. I could not get in untill November, so 3 months away. I asked to be put on a call list, and sure enough someone cancelled and they called me yesterday for a 9 am appointment today. I was a little nervous about my appointment, since it had been 4 years since my last appointment. I was ready to be reprimanded for not coming sooner, or having something wrong. Everyone there was so nice. Nothingvwas wrong. They said I had taken good care of my teeth and even made a night guard to help with grinding my teeth at night. It was a very pleasant experience and I will recommend them to everyone.

Then I found Blue Cedar and have found a dentist office I will forever go to for anything. I will recommend them to everyone! Not only are their prices great but the entire staff is amazing! I had a tooth removed today at 3 and they worked for an hour trying to get my stubborn tooth out and they were amazing the whole time. They kept making sure I wasn't in pain and giving me little breaks from the pressure. They kept making me laugh during which kept me calm. The assistant chit chatted with me beforehand and calmed me down as well. Absolutely amazing women! Even tho it was a struggle and the pressure was a lot to handle they made me less anxious. They finally got the tooth out. I have really bad rotten teeth from poor oral hygiene in my younger days and not one person in that office has ever made me feel less than or judged! Love this place and will keep taking my family to them.

( sorry but true) I don’t care what dental or doctors office I’ve ever been to, I have never ever met the sweetest, most caring professionals ( My Truth) that make you feel so comfortable and relaxed . And Dr. Allumbaugh was an absolute doll, with the “best” bedside manner. You can truly see when professionals really love their job ,and want to do everything to make their patients feel relaxed and not judgmental. And Bailey❤️ (Dr. Allumbaugh assistant) was an absolute sweetheart. She was so gentle, funny, kind, welcoming. We talked like we knew each other for years.. I could’ve truly adopted that kid yesterday. ( not kidding) Madison ( front desk) was so polite, sweet and kind and very welcoming. And Maecie ( I hope I remember how to spell her name correctly.) was so sweet funny and just loves to hug people. ( especially her coworkers ) They are truly one of the greatest “tribes” I’ve ever seen in a workforce. I’m looking so forward to getting my teeth fixed down there. I’m not scared one bit now. That place deserves more than 5 stars. You can just feel the “love and kindness” there. And I’m not just saying that.

I needed a root canal and was a bit apprehensive about it, but Dr. Alumbaugh and all the staff there put me completely at ease. Bailey is a fantastic assistant. She and Dr. A both explained each part of the procedure so I knew what to expect, let me know when each part was almost done, and also explained what to expect after getting home. Their professional proficiency and upbeat cheerfulness made it absolutely a great experience, and I would highly recommend Blue Cedar Dentistry!

Experiencia negativa: I had 2 fillings, the back tooth pulled. I for one asked for the gas. I'm a chronic pain patient so on strong beds already. I was told no it would only help relax me which I was shaking like a leaf on a tree. They did the fillings first which drilled all the way to my nerves. Then pulled my tooth after several shots in the mouth cause I could feel the pain. I could smell the bone being drilled the burnt bone smell awful. They broke one filling while pulling my tooth. They redid it. That tooth feels paper thin. I've been in extreme pain for 3 weeks. I get told put Clive oil on it. I work in Medicare I talk all day it's my job. I've had to miss so much work. I literally wake up crying about every night the pain is so bad. I take so much Tylenol and ibuprofen I've got a kidney infection my whole right side hurts. They refuse to get me in keep saying in a week. I should have been sent to a specialist. All my teeth are extremely sensitive now. Like none of my health history anything I said they took into consideration definitely not my feelings or well-being. Horrible this is caused issues at my job, I'm so tired I can't sleep I'm in pain. Literally ruining my life. My face stays swollen as do my eyes since. I can't be kissed hugged out makeup on its so sensitive and causes pain. They just don't care.

Everyone was professional, friendly, and devoted to my care. From reception, hygienist , to dentist. Probably the most gentle and patient hygienist I have ever met. I noticed they take children and adults (the kids were happy to be there). I’m overwhelmed with the knowledge I have a dependable caring new dentist. Going to get a filling in a few weeks and have no qualms.I hit the jackpot!
