Experiencia fantástica: Nobody really loves needles or going to the dentist. But when you visit Joy Dental, it's a whole new experience. I love Dr. Cumberbatch; she is the most pleasant professional who happens to love humming or singing Gospel music under her breath. This instantly takes away any anxiety you may have. She filled 2 teeth yesterday and when the feeling came back in my jaw, I could hardly tell I had new hardware in my mouth. It feels great and the new fillings works like a charm. Her assistant, Nicole was also excellent as she performed her role in getting me fixed up. I highly recommend this clinic and the personnel working there.

Experiencia fantástica: Last month I had two appointments one for a cleaning and subsequently one for a cavity. The care was superb. I’m biased, but Katina is the best (and only) hygienist I’ve ever had. She is thorough, professional, and never fails to remind me of how important it is to floss my beautiful teeth. Dr. Cumberbatch has an awesome “chair side manner.” She filled my cavity and while was very nervous, it was a painless endeavor and her assistant did an awesome job especially when it came to keeping my tongue out of harms way. I always have a great experience at Joy Dental. Thank you all for taking care of my dental needs!

Experiencia positiva: Love the office, people and services I receive there but very disappointed Joy decided to no longer be in network with Cigna. The benefits I receive from insurance is minute to the actual costs. I fear if I have to get extensive work done in the future, I will have to go to an in network dentist which is not what I want to do :(

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Jordan did my braces 26 years ago and he is a highly personable human, so it saddens me to return to Google and change my review after the back forth and being being totally robbed out of THOUSANDS of dollars for a set of braces for my youngest son. I don't know who is lying, but both of the participant parties should take responsibility. My oldest son had his set, and everything went smoothly. My youngest son had his put on and covid hit. The office shut down, and that affected his appointments severely. On top of that, once we would go in for appointments, Dr Jordan would tell us to come back for follow-up at 4 weeks, but there would be no availability for 6-8 weeks out. This put him 18 months behind his original scheduled date in total. Then here comes the kicker. Dr. Jordan leaves the practice. We paid multiple thousands out of pocket. Our insurance paid thousands, totaling 6500. My son would still need to wear an adjustable retainer for at least a year to 18 months once his braces came off. The problem was that Dr. Jordan said his office would not honor the contract that was paid off. (His retainer impressions were already fitted and done prior to him leaving Mont Belvieu it is paid for per our previous contract.) We would have to pay $500 for the retainer plus $140 to become an established patient. Then, he is $140 for each visit when he goes in for an adjustment. We asked for a partial refund from Joy Dental, but we're told that Dr. Jordan was paid all the money. I do not believe that is how a contract works with a doctor, as I worked in the corporate office of an extremely large dental company for 6 years. We had offices based in all 4 major cities in Texas. Over 20, to be exact. Though the insurance is billed under the provider I.D. the payments are made directly to the office where the provider is registered. There is still a contract agreement in place between the provider (performing doctor) and the employer. The employer will agree to pay a salary or sliding scale depending on production. Regardless, I know that someone better start writing a check for a partial refund as we have requested or call to get my son in to finish his braces. Take them off and give him some invisaline on the house because this is NOT ACCEPTABLE! If one of these things does not happen, you both will be getting a call from a lawyer. Not only all if this, but I can't even drive anymore due to seizures, so we have to get an Uber everywhere we go. Driving across the world for braces is not an option for us. So, again, somebody needs to grow some palotas and TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY! Thanks

Experiencia fantástica: Hands down the best dental team! I went in to get some long over due work done. I was dreading it. I had a few bad experiences at the dentist when I was younger and refused to go for over 15 years. Never did I expect to have such a lovely experience at the dentist. Mrs. Cumberbatch was very calming, gentle, attentive and aware. She hummed and sang while working, for her pleasure I am sure, but it worked wonders on my nerves as well. She just has a gentle way about her and she made sure I was comfortable at all times. Her assistant Alechia and Mrs. C worked so well together! Like two peas in a pod! It was obvious they knew what to expect from each other and there was no lag between the two. In the downtime while waiting for the numbing shots to work Mrs. Alechia kept me company with very nice conversation and cheered me up! I cannot say enough about this team. Just all around perfect. If I could've hugged Mrs. C. for doing such a wonderful job I would've. I left there feeling confident in the work that was done, not in any pain at all and honestly no soreness in my mouth like I had expected to hit me later that day. 10/10 highly recommend this wonderful staff and dental team to everyone, especially anyone who is scared or nervous to go to a dentist. Thank you ladies so much! I couldn't wait to leave a review of my experience!

Experiencia negativa: They do a good job with the cleanings. They don't take any insurance, and they are more expensive than other dentists. It feels like you're at a car dealership, they have a little room where they sit you down and you talk with their version of a sales rep while they walk you through their quotes and treatment plans.

Experiencia negativa: Everyone was very kind and really embraced my 4 year old. She felt comfortable and happy throughout the visit. I was surprised when, yet again, we had a new dentist that we hadn’t seen before. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been anyone constant in the office and for pediatric dentistry, that’s been less than ideal for us. The doctor counted her teeth, and then opened up her tooth brush from her goody bag and gave them a 20 second brush and was ready to send us on our way. I spoke up and asked why we weren’t having a regular teeth cleaning to which he answered that it was in my daughter’s chart that she was terrified of the dentist which was not true at all. So after I clarified he asked me if I wanted her teeth polished to which I responded yes and he did. We were out of there in no time and I paid $125. Overall experience was fine but I’ll be looking for another office that is a bit more established.

However the dentist and the staff were all very attentive and put me at ease. When I arrived for my actual procedure I was extremely nervous and had so much anxiety all over again. Thankfully once again the dentist and staff were so comforting and put me at ease. I can honestly say that the 3 hour procedure was painless from beginning to end.

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately our experience here was terrible. We were charged over for a cleaning. During the visit we did not receive a bill or estimate and later found out they were not in network. We feel deceived and the lack of care the staff has towards resolving this issue is astonishing. This has happened to several other individuals in the area as well and seems to be a trend. Beware!!
