Experiencia negativa: Was not warned of a first deep cleaning at my appointment or that I would need anesthesia. I couldn’t sip water out of a bottle for 4 hours without everything running down my shirt. Numbness didn’t start subsiding until after 5 hours. Had to cancel later plans.

Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely love this practice….the hygienist is professional and caring and you cannot ask for a more honest and respectful dentist than Dr. Moshier. I moved away from this area years ago, but continue to come here for my dental work because it is definitely worth the 45 minute drive to have peace of mind for my dental care! Not only did Dr. Moshier call me right back, listen to my concerns, and assure me that I could wait until the office opened, but the office texted me within a very short time to set up an appointment for a few days later. The hygienist who also helped me along with Dr. Moshier at this appointment was not the one I usually see but was extremely competent and reassuring. The last 2 years, Dr. Mosher had to answer my emergency calls on Christmas eve when I fell and caused a dental emergency-he is an unsung hero for coming out when he should have been home with his family!

Experiencia fantástica: Even though I take good care of my teeth and I don't put off any needed dental work or exams, I still have a lot of anxiety over going to the dentist. So while I don't think I'll ever look at it as having a good time, Pleasant Street Dental makes the experience as pain-free and pleasant as it could possibly be. I just had some crowns replaced, and throughout the process I was asked if I was doing ok, if I needed more numbing agent, etc. I was informed about each step in the process, and what I might feel while it was being completed. This has occurred every time I have had any work done, and it really helps me get through it. Whether it's for a cleaning or a procedure, I feel well-cared-for and respected, and I know I'm in good hands. Thank you! :)

Experiencia fantástica: I moved from Maine to Massachusetts in May in the midst of the pandemic. My 6-month cleaning and checkup was originally scheduled in April but Pleasant Street Dental was closed due to Covid. Since my move, I transferred my medical care and pharmacy to local providers but opted to return to Maine and Pleasant Street Dental last week for what was now my 10-month checkup. I felt comfortable going in because Dr. Mosier and his staff put in place so many precautions and changes to protect patients and themselves. When I commented to my hygienist, Jenna S about how cold it was in the office, she immediately offered me a blanket that was much appreciated. She had clearly reviewed my records because she knew about my sensitivity to cold and utilized alternatives methods for rinsing, etc. She did a very thorough job with my exam and cleaning. As usual, she shared some practical information, this time about inserting the Proxabrush between my teeth from both the inside and outside and the usefulness of applying some Sensodyne toothpaste to my teeth before applying the whitening strip to reduce sensitivity. As long as the weather holds out, I'll be back in March for my next appointment. Why would I want to give up such professional and compassionate dental care? It has now been 4 years since I moved from Bath, Maine to the Boston area and I continue to return to Pleasant Street Dental for my cleanings with Jenna and other dental care with Dr. Moshier. As always, Jenna was thorough, gentle, patient, and informative throughout my cleaning. She pays attention to the details and I really appreciate that. She has given me much useful information in the past about techniques and products and today, we talked about sugar free gum and plaque. She is very knowledgeable and always happy to share information. For now, I'm planning to continue to drive to Brunswick for my dental care. Pleasant Street Dental and their amazing staff are well worth it! It has now been almost 5 years since I moved to Boston and I'm still returning to Pleasant Street Dental for my oral care. Jenna and Dr. Moshier combine their knowledge, expertise, and professionalism to provide total care for me. Jenna as always provides lots of feedback about the state of my teeth and gums and contributes ideas about small ways to improve my self-care (e.g., angle of my electric toothbrush) all of which is much appreciated. I have great confidence in my team and will continue to drive from Boston to see them. I still live in Boston and still come to Pleasant Street Dental twice a year to see Jenna and Dr. Moshier for my dental care. As always, Jenna carried out a thorough evaluation and cleaning of my teeth. During the cleaning, she pays attention to details and always show concern for my comfort. She provided suggestions about how I can move my jaw to give greater access to my top back teeth and about using a larger size gum brush for better cleaning. She's a gem!

When I recently experienced an agonizing abscessed tooth, I was forced to confront my fear and called for an appointment to undergo a root canal. Dr. James Mosier's terrific"bedside manner" immediately helped me to feel comfortable during the initial consultation. He took much time to discuss my options for treatment and allowed me to have input. Experiencia fantástica: At the age of 79 I tripped and fell in the kitchen on December 21, 2023. It was a hard contact with my head to the floor. I knocked out one front tooth and rearranged two to the point of not being able to make contact with lower teeth. An email was sent late that night and then a phone message was made early the next morning to Dr. Moshier. A return call was received within ten minutes and an appointment was scheduled within the hour. Dr. Moshier was responsive and quickly had me in the dentist chair where it took and hour and a half working with his assistant to repair all the damage. My teeth were returned to their original positions and the broken tooth reconnected. Thank you Dr. Moshier for your quick response on your day off and holiday weekend at that.

There happened to be a cancellation the day I stopped in to introduce myself and so the journey began. The entire crew was absolutely amazing! Had a full work-up X-rays, photos,exam everything. They were at every step concerned about me not only being physically comfortable but emotionally as well, talking me through each and every step before the started it. Everyone was very professional while being genuinely interested in me, my thoughts and concerns. I now know why they have such a long list of people who want to go here. Literally have enjoyed every staff member I've interacted with, never had a bad interaction. There isn't one area I can think of to improve. Friendly, professional yet personable, very clear about what's needed and what they're doing, and just overall positive and kind. I've never had pain even with major restorative procedures. Over all highly recommended. Lol and I love the chapstick! We continue to go here even though they are out of network I gladly pay any difference my insurance doesn't cover.

The office took care of all paperwork for getting insurance pre-approvals.
