She always remembers my name, is incredibly attentive, and takes the time to make sure I'm comfortable throughout every procedure. She has truly found a way to make going to the dentist a pleasant experience. I recently had my old silver amalgam fillings replaced after Dr. Salzlein recommended it, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I never liked the appearance of the silver fillings, and now I feel so much more confident when I smile and laugh. If you're looking for a dentist who is skilled, compassionate, and truly cares about her patients, I highly recommend Dr. Salzlein and the entire team at Bright Smiles Dentistry. They provide exceptional care, and I wouldn't trust my smile to anyone else!

I am now in a wheelchair and I recently had an appointment; however, the wheelchair did not go through the door to get to the back of the office. So they transported me to a wheelchair they had onsite to get through the door and then back to my wheelchair, when it was time for me to leave. They also went outside and spoke to the transportation person and told them that I would be out shortly and to please not leave since we were running late. Everyone was extremely helpful and very friendly throughout the whole process.

Experiencia negativa: Called to make my 9 yo daughter an emergency appointment. They didn’t answer the phone but texted me to come at 11:00 AM the next day. The office then calls me at 10:12 AM the day of the appt saying to come at 10:30 or they can’t see my child. So basically an 18 min notice to be at an appt as if ppl don’t work or have other obligations. Extremely unprofessional. 0 stars if I could.

Experiencia fantástica: Was visiting Fort Walton while on vacation and needed urgent dental care and they got me in the office the following day I called. Dr. Salzlein and her staff were awesome. Dr. Salzlein was very caring and knowledgeable. If I lived here I would definitely be a lifetime patient. They all were wonderful from the front desk staff to the assistant. Everyone was so amazing. Experiencia negativa: Do not go here if you are remotely concerned that you might run in to an insurance billing issue (isn't that literally everyone???). Total nightmare. One appointment pushed back (by them), sent away at 2nd appointment because they don't take mine (spoiler: they do), left the third because they insisted on billing something they know insurance does not cover. Do not recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Ross Stanley and the FWB Bright Smiles office staff were very welcoming, professional and compassionate. I went in for a consult to remove a piece of tooth left in my gum after a traumatic tooth removal elsewhere. Dr Stanley helped me understand why it needed to be removed and not left in place. He answered all my concerns, with questions of future implant or bridge. The day of the procedure went well. I chose to be sedated and I was carefully monitored with ease and didn’t feel rushed. My healing process is going well with minimal pain with OTC pain meds. I would highly recommend Dr. Stanley at Bright Smiles!

It was THE DAY of my appointment they informed me that my insurance is out of network. I asked why not tell me before? The rep said they run it two days before the appointment. I should have been informed before I arrived to my appointment. I would have looked for another place. I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable. As if I was some bum of the street. I can’t express how disappointed I was with the lack of communication. And in addition, the office was late to opening their door. I do not recommend this practice.

After calling back they seemed like they were in a huge hurry, totally disorganized and couldn't hold a thought. I had to repeat every word I said because they couldn't pay attention to the information I had just been asked to give them (??). I even had to repeat that I wanted to cancel my appointment three times. The dentists are probably as flustered and incompetent as the front office. I thought I'd look elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: I really don’t like leaving negative reviews but I had a few issues with this dental practice. My daughter needed some cavities filled and was told that she would need to come in for a consultation. I gave them all of our insurance info over the phone. When I brought her in for the consultation, they charged me $115, after she had already been seen, for the consultation fee. There was never any mention of a consultation fee when I made the appointment. I felt like that should have been clearly communicated, especially if it wasn’t something covered under insurance. So, anyway, I was like “whatever… it is what it is.” So I got the estimate to have the cavities filled. When I brought her in to get them filled, I paid what was estimated. A couple of weeks later I got a text that we owed well more than double the amount they estimated. I understand an estimate is an “estimate” and not a final price but the estimate was way off. I called to get to the bottom of it and was told my insurance refused to cover the amount they estimated it would. I called my insurance company and was told that they should have called to find out how much would be covered. It was one of those situations where the dentist office blamed the insurance company and vice versa. I have had procedures done at other dental practices, though, and never had an estimate be off so much. It was just very frustrating. As far as the service goes, it was great. I just feel like communication is lacking.

I got treated for fillings, for partials, for extractions and ... always with so much tenderness, kindness, friendliness, thoughtfulness, knowledge and professionalism. They care.

She worked me in the SAME DAY even though I was a new patient. The entire staff was very understanding about the challenges I was having and offered solutions. They weren’t pushy or judgmental at all and worked with me to come up with a plan that would address my biggest concerns first and Kat even offered some suggestions and resources that could help me save money. I even got a chance to meet the oral surgeon that will be doing my extractions and he was extremely thorough. Dr. Blackmon answered all of my questions compassionately and understood that because I need extensive work, I’d have to break up the procedures to make it work for me financially. She did not try to force me into getting a bunch of minor work done before the procedure that I felt was most urgent, which has been my experience elsewhere. I can’t say thank you enough to the entire staff.
