I had a very traumatic childhood experience at the dentist that has existed for nearly 20 years since which is why I wanted to be put under anesthesia in the first place. I couldn’t have asked for a kinder, more friendly or welcoming place than this. It may have costed more money than if I hadn’t done anesthesia but it was worth every penny in the end and what would’ve taken hours without it took just over 1 hour with it. Dr. Pickup was very friendly and professional and I feel like a new human being having all of that infection from the abscess & the broken teeth and the wisdom teeth that caused my mouth to be so crowded. Thank you for helping me overcome something that I never imagined I’d be able to do being out to sleep or not and I would do it again in a heartbeat as well as recommend anyone looking for the same service

Experiencia fantástica: Today I had my first visit with Dr Foster and his team at Associated Oral & Implant Surgeons. I am here to inquire , by referral from my local Dentist , Dr Rhionna Miller in Johnson City about getting denture implants, upper and lower. Brittney took me in , did full mouth X-rays and proceeded to explain that Dr Foster would follow. She proceeded to explain the process which is that, Dr Foster would be reviewing my X-rays, and would then discuss options.. She further discussed specific processes including how I would be receiving several options, be given time to study and review my options and determine what I think would be the best route for me When Dr Foster came in he discussed the potential options, and possibilities. He informed me that he would be studying my X-rays in more depth and would develope several treatment plan options for us to discuss at another appointment. I am extremely pleased with this slow approach. Time to think about and to figure out the best option for me personally… One of the things that stands out is that he has a lot of success and it is because of his cautionary approach.. “he would rather do implants the right way or not do them at all” I know I am in the right place and I fully trust in Dr Foster.. more to come as my journey continues… Karen M

Experiencia negativa: Not a great experience. I had Jason pickup. I wasnt sedated enough. I was basically slightly drugged. I remember it all, they was done quickly and wasnt very thorough about what to do if and common issues etc. They were all nice i was just rushed and not given enough sedation then sent home wth paper instructions and none from the staff. Nobody told me to ice my jaw, wait 24 hours to rinse it, when the bleeding should stop alot left un said to pay 1150 dollars for 25 min worth of work and again sedation was mild at best. Nice people, maybe just me or they were resdy for the weekend. Not sure just being honest

Experiencia negativa: $602 for a tooth extraction when we have told you multiple times we are incredibly low income is insane. why is money more important than patient health? i actively feel like i am dying and have symptoms of angina as a result of this. this is a disgusting way to run a practice. editing to add more:: i called two days ago in order to try finding financial assistance from them or learn about a payment plan. front desk staff and dr pickup’s “personal assistant” were incredibly rude and even yelled at me when i started crying. i was interrupted multiple times and treated extremely poorly. found another surgeon. don’t need general anesthesia. absolutely loved being lied to by dr pickup. i will make sure to tell everyone i know to NEVER set foot in his office or any industry he is associated with. pickup and his staff are awful people.

Foster is not only amazing himself, but also has an outstanding group of women by his side that ensured I received the best treatment from start to finish and beyond! Foster is very kind and patient. He actually takes time to sit down and explain any/all treatment options and will answer any/all questions you may have! I highly suggest FOSTER, if I could give him and his staff 10 stars I would! I called to reschedule for a consultation ONLY because of heart issues and the only thing miss rude could say, well you'll have to wait til June. Here's a FUN FACT you're not the doc around. I would recommend AIOS Kingsport to anyone. I have put off having my wisdom teeth removed for years out of fear because it was my first surgery. But I’m home now with minimal discomfort after having them extracted this morning, and couldn’t be more grateful to this team.

She made me smile and laugh and made me feel safe. Dr. Pickup was just as kind and soon i was out & it was over. i’m a few hours post op with zero pain, only minimal ache and discomfort. wonderful experience overall.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Pickup is the best. We trusted him with our first son two years ago for wisdom teeth removal, and our youngest son had to have his removed this month ago. We requested Dr. Pickup. Our son did great and two weeks later is back to ‘my norm’ as he said. As a mom, I appreciated Dr. Pickup talking to my son who recently turned 18 y/o as an adult and asking him questions and letting my son know he could call him with any questions. Of course, he informed me and gave instructions for pre and post-op care. For people (the few) that say they didn’t have pre or post-op instructions, they give it to you and it’s also on their website. The staff. Stellar. It’s clear they’re a great team, and made my son feel comfortable and assured me he fine as the surgery took a bit longer because his teeth were impacted in a complex way. We’re grateful for Dr. Pickup and all the staff. Hope we never need oral surgery again, but if needed, we will be back!
