Experiencia fantástica: I had a very positive experience with Bourbon Family Dentistry. From the beginning, the staff was incredibly kind, professional, and thorough, taking the time to explain each step of the exam and cleaning so I always knew what they were doing and why. I was especially impressed with the technology they used during the examination. They took detailed X-rays, including a panoramic X-ray, and then digitally scanned my upper and lower teeth along with my bite to create a 3D model. The dentist walked me through the model and explained how my teeth come together when I bite, which made it much easier to understand what they were evaluating. They were also able to complete my cleaning during the same visit, which was very convenient. The entire appointment felt comprehensive without feeling rushed. Overall, the combination of modern technology, a thorough examination, and a genuinely friendly staff made for an excellent experience. I would definitely recommend Bourbon Family Dentistry to anyone looking for a dental office that takes the time to explain your dental health and makes you feel comfortable throughout the process.

The dentist is very kind and polite not only with customers but also coworkers. He studied my tooth extraction X-rays the night before and planned ahead on how he would approach it. He did such a great job that my recovery isn't nearly as bad as I had anticipated. Fantastic job, all workers there are great. Highly recommend!

They told me that I need to return in October for special treatment of a molar and encouraged me to use a special toothpaste that I already have been using. All-in-all it was a great visit!

Experiencia negativa: I really wanted to like this dentist! He seemed nice enough at first, but my quotes were more than I had gotten in the past so I didn’t move forward with a lot of what was recommended due to chronic health issue’s and cost. I did, however, have them fix my front tooth which had a small carry. Right away, I realized it was catching food along a flat spot near the crevice. I just tried to floss well but over time, I realized it was becoming a problem and that it hadn’t been done properly. Within 6 months the filling came out. With my new job, i unfortunately work the same hours the practice is open on another town so i called them and let them know what happened and that i would need to have it repaired. I was finally able to schedule during Juneteenth because i had that day off. But when i went in they did a a spur of the moment cleaning instead and “looked” at my tooth. The dentist then told me they had no record of fixing that tooth and that they wouldn’t fix it unless I waited around until they had time to fit me in AND paid for it again. I just think they really dropped the ball. This was my FRONT tooth. I now have an awkward gap that I have to pay someone else to repair. AND my time was waisted. Very disappointed. High prices and lack of integrity.

Experiencia negativa: When I first chose to take my daughter to Bourbon Family Dentistry for a broken tooth, I was very optimistic, based on their impressive rating (4.9 out of 281 reviews). After my experience with their clinic, I was no longer impressed. After evaluating my daughter's tooth, Bourbon Family Dentistry immediately suggested that the only option to correct the problem was to send her to another provider they did business with, and have them perform a root canal; then have her come back to Bourbon Family Dentistry to have them crown the tooth. I knew that there were other options available besides an invasive procedure like a root canal. When I expressed hesitation, I was guilted for questioning their opinion, and told again "this has to be done". I chose to take my daughter to Indianapolis Dentistry to get a second opinion. When I called Bourbon Family Dentistry to get the record release form, I was again guilted for wanting to take my daughter for a second opinion. Over the course of a week, me and Indianapolis Dentistry requested on at least 3 separate occasions that Bourbon Family Dentistry send a copy of the x-rays to the them, so they would have the opportunity to evaluate the x-rays prior to my daughter's appointment. Bourbon Family Dentistry refused/failed to do so, even though they stated they had. Fortunately, Indianapolis Dentistry offered to re-do the x-rays at no cost, due to the multiple requests that were made of Bourbon Family Dentistry. During our visit with Indianapolis Dentistry, they were able to provide several different procedures that were less invasive than a root canal, and were able to conduct one of those procedures the same day. Lastly, during our original visit with Bourbon Family Dentistry, I was led to believe that at least part of our visit would be covered by insurance. I had provided them with my insurance information prior to the visit, they claimed to have run my insurance, and they showed up on my insurance company's site as "in network"; yet Bourbon Family Dentistry said nothing to me about our visit not being covered. My insurance company informed me after the visit, that sometimes providers will show up "in network" even though their not, because the provider fails to call and let the insurance company know that they will no longer accept their insurance. If you value things like getting second opinions and making informed decisions about your or your family's care, this is not the provider for you. Needless to say, neither my daughter or I will be returning to Bourbon Family Dentistry.
