Experiencia fantástica: I can't thank this practice enough. It is our last day visiting beautiful Grand Haven and my husband developed severe tooth pain. Mountford and Ruszkowski Family Dentistry went above and beyond. They saw us within a couple of hours and were able to patch him up, provide the referral needed to continue care back home, and ensured he can get back home pain-free. The office is beautiful and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Tooth pain can be unbearable and I am so grateful to this office for helping us so last minute and so thoroughly!

I had persistent tooth pain from a filling earlier this year and a little anxiety around the dentist since then and the staff has been extremely supportive and understanding. Dr. Ruszkowski was able to redo my filling and relieve the pain, explaining the process to me for support. I am so grateful and couldn’t recommend this office more!

They are sensitive to your needs, making sure you are comfortable and you know what is happening. Good experience for a dentist office. Can't see going anywhere else. Only small negative is the wait times. Busy because they are good.

Every hygienist, assistant, receptionist, and dentist is so friendly and welcoming. On top of that, they are always able to quickly fit me in for urgent appointments or even things that could wait. Then you have the amazing view of the channel which makes it feel more elevated than a typical dentist office. Overall, it’s an amazing dentist that I don’t see myself ever leaving.

Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful modern office, very clean and comfortable, with a nice harbor view. They also have their own parking lot right outside of the building, which makes visits easier; I appreciate not having to park elsewhere and walk when we are not having sunny Summer Grand Haven weather. They use the most updated equipment with technology that provides better imaging and quieter ultrasonic cleaning. The entire staff is friendly and professional. The dental tech/assistant put me at ease, explained everything she was going to do beforehand, and was excellent with obtaining x-rays and providing a thorough cleaning without any discomfort. Dr. Josh is great! He is knowledgeable, personable, willing to answer any questions and give reasonable recommendations. Our whole family goes there and we’re all happy with the service or treatment we have received- even the man who hates having to go to the doctor or dentist who had to have fillings done didn’t complain. So, if anyone is looking for a top-notch office that doesn’t make having to go to the dentist a stressful experience, give them a try.

Experiencia positiva: I have been a patient at this practice since childhood and have always received exceptional care from the dentists, hygienists, and front desk staff during check-in and treatment. However, the one consistent drawback has been interactions at billing and checkout with Carol, the long-standing billing receptionist. Time and again, her demeanor has been abrasive, dismissive, and condescending, which stands in stark contrast to the professionalism shown by the rest of the team. For a practice that is otherwise excellent, I hope greater accountability is reinforced among all employees—especially those in roles that directly shape patient impressions upon departure.

The dentists and hygienists are very knowledgeable and make sure that you're comfortable throughout any procedure. I've had both cleanings and fillings and don't get the typical anxiety that usually comes with going to the dentist. Dr Mike is very accommodating and efficient and will let you know what is going on and why. Fantastic work and an amazing staff.

Experiencia fantástica: I just would like to say that Dr. Mountford and his group are the best. I was three and a half hours away and called them with a problem with a crown. They got me right in and Doctor Josh put a temporary crown on the same day. He ordered up a new crown and scheduled my appointment without any problems the day of my cleaning since I was three and a half hours across the state. I returned a month later for my cleaning and my second appointment for my crown and was in and out in twenty minutes as he was very efficient. Dr. Mountford is the best. I have been going to him for several years now. They are moving to a new location down by the grand river which will be very nice. I highly recommend anyone to go to this dental facility. The employees ALL are super friendly and efficient with reasonable prices as well.

During my appointment, Dr Mike was running behind with another patient and I had to wait a good bit longer than usual to be seen. He acknowledged the delay, apologized, told me he appreciated my time, and assured me that this is not a routine occurrence. For the inconvenience, he graciously waived some costs for a subsequent procedure. Throughout the visit for a crown, he was patient, gentle, and explained things as he went. After a quick Google search of "dentist near me," I stumbled upon Dr. Chris Mountford and the Mountford & Ruszkowski Family Practice. Dr. Mountford called me back immediately. Within 45 minutes, he opened up his practice in his snow gear and with his son in tow. My son's tooth was treated and put back in place within an hour. Dr. Mountford did an excellent job. The tooth looks like it never happened. We will always remember his kindness. If you are fortunate enough to live in the area and are looking for a dentist, I highly recommend!!!
