Experiencia negativa: I had a disappointing experience with Seabreeze Dental overall. On the positive side, the dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth did an excellent job. My teeth felt very clean and polished afterward, and the office itself is modern, clean, and well maintained. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience was not nearly as positive. After my exam and X-rays, I was presented with a treatment plan that included more than 10 recommended procedures, along with a very expensive estimate. The consultation felt more like a sales presentation than a discussion about my dental health, which made me uncomfortable. Wanting a second opinion, I visited two different dental offices afterward. Both told me that my teeth were in good condition and that much of the work Seabreeze had recommended was unnecessary. They explained that some of the things I had been told were "problems" were actually normal variations and did not require treatment. That experience left me questioning whether the recommendations I received at Seabreeze were truly in my best interest. I did have one filling done at Seabreeze, and it was the worst dental experience I've had. After the procedure, my tooth was extremely sensitive and painful for more than six months. I returned to the office twice because of the ongoing pain, but I didn't feel that much was done to resolve the issue. Communication was another frustration. I found the front desk difficult to work with, and there were multiple occasions when my appointments were mixed up or handled incorrectly. I also felt that the dentist was dismissive when I tried to ask questions, which made it difficult to feel comfortable or informed about my treatment. My partner had a very similar experience, which reinforced my concerns. Based on my experience, I would encourage anyone considering Seabreeze Dental to get a second opinion before agreeing to extensive or costly dental work. While the hygienist and the office itself were great, I left feeling that the focus was more on selling treatments than providing patient-centered care.

She is kind and professional. we reviewed my chart, making any necessary changes, Examined my teeth and mouth, cleaned, polished my teeth, and applied a fluoride solution. I have seen her several times and I appreciate her attention.

Experiencia negativa: Super bummed about this place. I found it thinking it was great- the staff is all very kind & attentive. On my first visit, I saw one of the junior dentists, who was lovely. She took me into the office afterwards and suggested that I get "preventative" replacements on all my fillings. I went back for two more subsequent fillings, and each time I was only seen by hygenists who suggested that I review the proposal for replacement fillings. I was never given additional information about if it was necessary. What's more, no doctor reviewed with me my x-rays. They just took x-rays and suggested I invest in a $4,000 replacement of all cavity fillings. I went to get a second opinion and requested my medical records (xrays) be sent directly to me via email and to my new dentist. The front office staff, on more then 4 different phone calls, said the x-rays had been emailed when they hadn't been. Finally, my new dentist got them on the phone and did not hang up until the x-rays were received via email. Upon review, it became clear that there was NO tooth decay or any active reason to replace the fillings, and only ONE filling needed to be slightly supported. If you get the gut sense that you are trying to be sold unnecessary procedures, you might be right.

Experiencia fantástica: I was very impressed with my first visit to Seabreeze Dental Group! I was a new patient (leaving my former dentist of over 30 years because they wouldn’t accept my dental insurance) and found Seabreeze to be extremely professional, with super modern facilities with the latest cutting edge dental tools and equipment and accomplished and polite personnel. My dentist was very impressive and extremely knowledgeable and put me at ease and my hygienist was the best I can ever remember (having gone to the dentist since I was a child in the early 1960’s). I am very happy about my change and look forward to my future visits to Seabreeze Dental Group. The “ Cherry on Top” is the fact that their office is only blocks away from my Capitola residence and I will be walking there for my next visit!

Experiencia positiva: Ken is a very conscientious hygenist. He made me feel comfortable, asked often about my comfort, and was very thorough. The only negative is that they keep pushing a treatment plan that I have declined many times for two years. Since the issue is something my other dentists knew about and said was stable and that I have had for 25 years, coupled with the fact that they happen to own the lab that would produce the product, I now suspect money, not medical necessity, is the primary driver. I've asked that they stop but they continue to push. Like I said, the only negative, but there it is.

Experiencia negativa: ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO HERE!!! They try to sell you services based on false information. They told me I needed a deep cleaning and charged me for half of the procedure upfront ($200+) before I even had it done. I didn't feel right about it, so I requested a refund and switched to a new dentist. Sure enough, no deep cleaning needed! Additionally, they did not send my X-rays to my new dentist on time after asking them to several times. I had to get new ones done that, thankfully, my new dentist was gracious enough to offer for free, since my insurance would not cover additional X-rays. AND the dentist was sooo rough on my mouth, even after expressing to him that I had a particularly painful gum. Dr. Halbeib does not care about your dental health at all, he just wants your money!

Experiencia negativa: Told me I needed crowns and that I had a cavity which they wouldn't fill until I got crowns. Switched dentists and guess what no cavities or crowns needed. They try to con you into services you don't need. Seek other opinions
