Experiencia fantástica: I came to Dr Baum with a broken tooth and infection. I didn't pick him because I felt I needed an emergency visit as I wasn't in much pain. If you're afraid of dentists you convince yourself its not an emergency. But I knew I would potentially have to travel on a moments notice and I needed to fix my problem. I picked him based on stellar reviews and how prompt he is accommodating patients. More importantly to me the reviews mentioned painless. He did not disappoint. From the relaxing decor to the perfect music list it was calming from the start. He removed my tooth, cleaned infection and did a bone graph. Never did i expect this to be absolutely pain free including not even feeling the numbing needles. When most dental offices have set hours and you find yourself in an emergency situation I hope you come across this review and know Dr Baum will schedule you ASAP and have you pain free walking out the door. Dr Baum thank you for you exceptional service and for showing me going to the dentist doesn't have to be the painful experience of the past.

I had severe tooth pain from a broken tooth that had just happened in the evening on Saturday night when of course your regular dentist is not available due to their daily hours. He saw me at 1 o’clock in the morning took a few x-rays confirmed that my tooth needed to come out and took out my tooth and gave a few stitches and sent me on my way with excellent instructions and most of all a painless experience all around . Pain-free for the extraction and the stitching and I have been pain-free since just a few Advils in the beginning and that was all I needed . I was at work at 5 AM that morning and worked until late into the evening completely comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Baum. I am very grateful for his late hours through the night. If I ever have another situation,or anybody I know has a situation with their teeth in the middle of the night, we will definitely be calling Dr. Baum .

After months of dealing with a broken molar, another broken tooth, constant pain, and far too much Advil, I finally made the call to Dr. Baum What happened next completely exceeded my expectations. I called in the evening and was seen that very same night. By 10:45 PM, Dr. Baum had me in his office for X-rays and a consultation. Despite my anxiety, he was incredibly patient, compassionate, and thorough. He took the time to explain everything, answer my questions, and make sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. In the end, I had three teeth extracted. What could have been a terrifying experience was made manageable because of Dr. Baum’s exceptional bedside manner, attention to detail, and genuine concern for his patients. The fact that he personally followed up with me the very next evening spoke volumes about the level of care he provides. I have only been to three dental offices in my entire life, and without question, this was the best experience I have ever had. Even without dental insurance, I left feeling that the quality of care, professionalism, and compassion I received were worth every penny. If you are someone who struggles with dental anxiety, I cannot recommend Dr. Baum enough. He turned one of my biggest fears into an experience that left me feeling cared for, respected, and relieved. oh and i went to work the next day, that involved talking nonstop!

After calling at 6:45 PM, they got me an emergency appointment for 8:00 PM that same night. By 8:05 PM, I was already in the chair being treated. Experiencia fantástica: Overall it was a great experience. I was able to get an 8:30pm appointment on a Sunday night for my husband who was In extreme pain from a tooth infection. They were able to do a same day extraction and 24 hours later he’s completely pain free. Definitely a little pricey but considering it’s emergency services and operating outside normal dental office hours I wasn’t too surprised. Would definitely recommend.

He saw the problem with my husband right away and fixed it. My husband would not have made it through the night and Dr. Baum came to the rescue. I’m sure this is a great dentist just wish there was a website to make the payment on .. giving a credit card or debit card over the phone is to old school and seems like a scam .. (in response to the response) yes making a payment over the phone in 2026 seems a bit outdated I do appreciate you getting back to me what I found a little funny was the appointment difference how it went from a 12:30pm appointment to a 8:30pm appointment in just a matter of a few minutes of me calling back .. I wouldn’t promote 24 hours if it was not in fact 24 hours ..open daily and at the mercy of the dentist would be more appropriate for your practice .. also in 2026 figure out a way to send a secure link for payment .. nobody in 2026 wants to give out they’re bank information over the phone .. have a blessed rest of your day I hope you’ve read with an open mind

Experiencia negativa: I called this place and the woman who answered was very rude, saying they don't accept Medicare and asking if I would be paying with debit or credit, but in a very rude way. Honestly, if they don't like being polite, they should find another job. I'm calling because I have the money to pay, and their job is to provide service. I said "okay im going to keep that appointment - but if anything comes up, I will call and let you know if I cannot make it, because I have a 3yr old" (the app was going to be at 10 pm!!!) the guy goes "well I can't give u an appointment then because people need to be seen, and I can't make an appointment for someone who isn't going to show up(I never said that) .. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?" so I said "um? yea I understand, but thats not what I said, & my daughter is 3.. its at 10pm (its 2:30pm right now) which is past her bedtime, I need to have someone come & watch her... and you're being VERY rude.." he goes "ok yea we are NOT going to help you *CLICK*" I wouldn't go there even if all my teeth were falling out with that attitude and disrespect. They then BLOCKED my number when I tried calling back to speak to a supervisor. Very unprofessional. They clearly dont care about your pain & suffering, they just want $$$.

What a saving grace and tremendous relief to not have to wait till the morning Dr Baum was kind, professional and very informative. He communicated exactly what the issue was and what the proper course of treatment should be. I needed a root canal which turned into an extraction…. which is a big procedure, and it’s the next day and I feel great with very minimal discomfort. He took x rays and showed me that two teeth both done with in the last year by another firm, one being a root canal other repair had failed. Showed me what they should have looked like when teeth where finished and what mine had looked like. There was an infection into the sinus cavity. Performed extraction, stitched my mouth up, sent me home with care package and called antibiotics into pharmacy for me. Next day didn’t have any pain or discomfort. And within 24 hours he text me to make sure I was ok and to check in. Dr. Baum cares about his patients. I would Highly recommend Dr. Baum

Experiencia negativa: This is truthfully my option. I called around 830pm mid week wanting to see a doctor. i wasn't in serve pain at all, but knew i needed to see a doctor. From the phone i was able to make an appointment right on the phone for the same evening for 1030pm. I really did not like paying $375 over the phone for the appointment for x-rays. Pros for this business. Clean Office, Nice Decor, Honest Doctor, Wrote a Script that night for infection. Cons: Waiting room very small, Expensive for long island i was priced at $950 per tooth for extriction i needed 5 out, Outdated x-raymachine (takes x-ray of 1 tooth at a time instead of entire head x-ray like most oral surgons on long island. I didn't like the fact the doctor was by himselt no help at all or even a office person answering the phones. Dark exterior of the building and parking lot. Overall do your research i went to Leading Edge Oral Surgery i was given 5 star service on an emergency appointment. I cant find one thing wrong i didnt like. I Paid $650 per tooth and had a full mouth x-ray for free with the extriction.

He returned our call quickly and asked that we come to the office by 11:00 pm. We arrived on time. The office is clean and comfortable waiting area. I waited a very short time since there was a patient before me. Dr Baum took my medical history and then explained the possible outcomes after my X-rays. He treated me with dignity and respect. Experiencia negativa: I went to see the doctor at night in extreme tooth pain. His behavior was very rude with us . He charged us 1400$ just for pulpotomy which is 300$ procedure everywhere. Then he also said that another 3000$ for root canal plus crown. Everywhere pulpotomy is the part of root canal. But he was extorting money from poor customers. Because I was in extreme pain I did not have any option. But next day when I woke up, the pain killed me. I spoke to him but i was not comfortable in going back there because the very bad impression for the very first time. I changed the dentist and everything was done in 1500$. I asked him for refund but he simply declined. Please make sure DO NOT go ahead with his treatment until you get prices from other doctor plus the attitude was very rude as we are getting treated for free.Whoever is reading my comment please let me know any place where a doctor charges almost 5000$ for a root canal . I never went back because of the doctor's rude attitude both with me and my husband. If you have call record, I have email record too.which I can happily post here.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Baum is a 10/10. I’ve been having pain in my one tooth for a week or so but the other day it began to be unbearable. Searched for emergency dentists for over two hours until I found Dr Baum. Read the reviews and honestly was a bit skeptical because the dentist scares me immensely but he’s the real deal and extremely helpful. I called at 8am, he had me in at 9am same morning. Extraction was done quick and when I needed a second to breathe because I was scared he let me chill out and relax. Was super kind and tried to keep me distracted so I didn’t freak out.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Eric Baum, DDS, is second to none. I experienced an incredible intensely painful infection in my mouth due to a wisdom/molar tooth that had become seriously infected. I was lucky enough to locate Dr. Baum who has offices in Stony Brook and Commack and who was able to tend to me and perform surgery within 2 hours of my telephone call. His follow-up treatment is, additionally, second to none and the good doctor even takes the initiative of contacting you to ascertain your status. I would go to no other dentist. Certainly, for an emergent situation but additionally for general dentistry, implantation and issues of that nature. If you have some time, I would look up his number now and keep it handy. One of his offices is located on 310 Commack Road Commack NY and his office is in Stony Brook NY and is located on 207 Hallock Road. Again, an excellent and thorough dentist. Unfortunately I cannot post a picture because my face was so blown up that I deleted the picture as I looked like an alien! I typically do not leave comments however in my particular situation and in a situation where persons are experiencing any dental emergency there is no one better or accomodative than he. Experiencia fantástica: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Eric Baum. I came to him late on a Saturday night—1045 PM—for an emergency extraction and removal of infected jaw bone. I have a severe fear of dental work, but Dr. Baum was incredibly kind, patient, and empathetic. He took his time, explained everything clearly, and made me feel more comfortable than I’ve ever felt in a dental chair. The procedure was intensive and extended well into the early morning hours, yet he remained focused and compassionate the entire time. He doesn’t take insurance, but his pricing was very fair—much less than I expected for emergency weekend oral surgery. What really impressed me was that he even called me the next day to check in and make sure I was doing okay. Finding a dentist available on weekends is hard enough—finding one this skilled, caring, and dedicated is almost unheard of. I’m incredibly grateful for Dr. Baum and would recommend him to anyone in need of emergency dental care.

Experiencia fantástica: It was late at night. My boyfriend came in with a lot of pain and discomfort on his broken tooth and needed an extraction urgently. We were happily accommodated at 10:30pm, which was awesome since it was a Saturday night! No other place could or would take us this soon. The doctor’s bedside manner was amazing. He made my boyfriend feel comfortable and heard. The extraction went smoothly and my boyfriend’s recovery is going smoothly as well. Thank you Dr. Baum, you are amazing!

Sunday morning my husband scoured the internet for an emergency dentist and found Dr Baum. He contacted his office and left a message. The Dr called back immediately and scheduled me an appointment for that day. Dr Baum did an amazing job. He was so kind and considerate during the whole procedure. The office is bright and clean and very professional. I haven't had an ounce of pain since the work was done. Experiencia fantástica: I am a grown woman and i'm terrified of the dentist. At five o'clock on a Saturday, I severely cracked a tooth. I was frantically calling several dentists getting absolutely nowhere. Dr Baum returns my phone call. Got me into his office on a saturday. So kind. And....Zero pain. Unfortunately the tooth was unable to save. The tooth was so damaged due to poor dental treatment from a diffrent DDS. Fortunately, it was a tooth in the back. Now i'm just excited to get invisialines, because there's room. If you have fears and concerns about going to have something done, run to this Doctor. The best!!

Experiencia negativa: Says 24/7 I called with an emergency on a sunday late morning. they asked me how far I am from them I said 6 mins they told me come in. I asked what payment they take credit or debit. I live 6 mins away got there in 14 minutes after getting my card to be able to pay place was closed up. I called them 11:20 a.m. originally showed up at 11:34 a.m 14 mins total they said they left for lunch. 3:30 p.m is when I can come back not once did they tell me they were leaving for lunch or closing only asked me how far away I live. Very very unprofessional and rude!!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Baum was a lifesaver for me. On a Sunday morning, I had extreme pain in my back molar. I saw another dentist the day before and he did nothing for me. I could not find a single dental group, including my own, that was open on the weekend. How bizarre it is to be in healthcare to help people, and assume no one gets sick after business hours. Dental appointments are not cheap at any time honestly, but when it comes to living in pain, you can’t really put a price on that relief. Thank you again for what you do - helping people!

Despite it being a Saturday night, Dr. Baum was able to see me the same evening. He quickly diagnosed the problem and cleaned out two rotted teeth in just over an hour. The relief was immediate, and thanks to his quick action and excellent care, he literally saved my vacation. Experiencia fantástica: I woke up Friday morning with a fair amount of pain from an abscessed tooth. I called my dentist and he wasn't available till Wednesday - that's five days away. By Saturday morning, my face was swollen and the pain was getting worse. So I called Baum Eric T DMD 24/7 Emergency Dentistry. He had me come in immediately and after 10 minutes, my pain was gone! Aside from being super thorough knowing exactly what to do, he's also friendly and made me feel very comfortable. The Novocain has worn off and still no pain! I should have called sooner and avoided a day of suffering. Well, I've got Dr. Eric Baum on speed-dial now! Five Stars!! Would absolutely recommend to family and friends.

Dr. Baum took me in the same day I called, which was a huge relief. From the moment I walked in, he was attentive and kind—he even noticed I was watching a show on my phone to relax and offered to put it on the TV for me. The procedure itself was completely pain-free, which I honestly didn’t think was possible. He also followed up the next day to check in, which meant a lot. That night, when I had some concerns about the healing process, I texted him photos and he responded right away. I’ve only ever seen one dentist my whole life, and I didn’t realize how much better dental care could be until now. I will definitely be going back to Dr. Baum. Can’t recommend him enough!

The doctor made me feel absolutely comfortable and the whole extraction, bone grafting procedure just passed like a breeze. The post care directions were absolutely clear. Being that no one is open or around at 11:00 pm I went to his place and I am so happy I did. He is extremely thorough , informative , caring & exceeding my expectations. Experiencia fantástica: Dr Baum & his assistant were WONDERFUL! After seeing 3 dentists and still being in extreme pain, I called Dr Baum. He returned my call within 3 minutes and agreed to see me in an hour. After taking X-rays, he immediately said I had an abscessed tooth and did a pulpectomy, put me on antibiotics and said to follow up with an Endodontist for a root canal. He & his assistant were very kind, personable, caring, friendly and knowledgeable. His procedure definitely relieved the extreme pain. Dr Baum called me the next day to see how I was feeling. Followed instructions and everything healed perfectly. Very happy to find this place and will be going back for all other dental needs….

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Baum helped me in a time of need. I had an emergency situation on new years day and he was there. Great atmosphere and very personable. I especially liked that we were listening to music and kind of rocking out. The work he did was incredibly fast with no pain or discomfort and even the next day there is barely any soreness or pain.

Experiencia fantástica: I have had a lifetime of dental complications and negative accompanying experiences. I called Dr. Baum on a Sunday morning, and he got me in an hour later to do a wisdom tooth and molar extraction. Like my other procedures, the extraction was long and gruesome. But unlike the others, Dr. Baum was excellent. His skill as a surgeon was obvious and impressive. But beyond just skill, his level of care and professionalism is unmatched. He stayed in constant contact with me for a week during my recovery. He saw me days later when I was in pain, for no extra cost, and provided immediate help. He was kind and efficient, with a sense of humor that is much appreciated when you can be consumed with pain and fear. I have never left a review for a surgeon before, but I felt compelled to after being fortunate enough to be a patient here. This is an excellent practice and I would recommend Dr. Baum to all my family and friends.

Experiencia fantástica: I was in absolute agony with tooth pain on a Friday night and Eric was the only Dentist that answered the phone. He fit me in for an emergency appointment in 20 minutes. I’m usually very nervous going to the dentist but this was the best experience I’ve ever had BY FAR. Eric put on my favorite music and thoroughly explained everything that he was doing. I didn’t feel anything during the procedure and I got to listen to my favorite music at the same time. It was a very pleasant experience. The needles didn’t even hurt!!! Best experience ever!!!!! Experiencia fantástica: I am extremely grateful to Dr. Eric Baum and his assistant. Long story short, I had been experiencing persistent pain under my crown for over two years. Despite numerous visits to different dentists, they would perform X-rays, tell me they didn’t see anything, prescribe some medication, and send me home. Last night, as I was getting ready for bed, the pain returned—this time, intensely. I spent over 20 minutes calling around to other offices, but none had a doctor on call. Then I found Dr. Eric Baum’s office. They scheduled an appointment for me in under three minutes. I took a cab from Brooklyn to Commack, and within 40 minutes of arriving, Dr. Baum had assessed, diagnosed, and treated me. The overall experience was excellent, and I’ve decided to make Dr. Eric Baum my primary dentist going forward.

Experiencia negativa: I'm editing my review and dropping to 1 star because my girlfriend tried calling to schedule a follow-up appointment for a crown and they were incredibly rude to her and then never called her back. I didn't think it was abnormal to have my partner call and schedule an appointment, but apparently this was a big issue for them. Furthermore, I was basically forced to leave a 5 star review here after my initial appointment, which felt awkward and desperate. Final note, Dr. Baum has atrocious bedside manner. I will finding a different doctor for my crown.
