Even with the tooth being under the gum at this point. Couldn’t be happier and was able work the next day with no discomfort

Experiencia negativa: Staff are friendly but two years in a row, we were billed extra at the beginning of each year due to a glitch in their system. I was also told over the phone by the receptionist that I would not be charged for an appointment to check on some persistent pain from a filling done there a month or two prior, but when I arrived I was then told by the dentist that I'd be charged. So, double and triple check your bills from them.

Also Dr. Pike is very family first, after a cancelled appt due to an unexpected loss in our family, they had flowers delivered to the services if that’s not above and beyond I don’t know what is.

The dental assistant, Yessy, was incredible. she walked me through every step of what she was doing and was very gentle while removing my temporary crown. Dr. Lazari and Yessy constantly checked in to make sure I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure. I felt really well taken care of and left feeling great. I would definitely want both again. 10/10 experience!

Experiencia negativa: Their billing practices are not normal. I have never had to pay several thousand $ all up front for services. This is why I have insurance! They tell me how much insurance will pay, then tell me to pay in full? No, you bill the insurance company and I pay my Co- pay! My old dentist never mentioned half the stuff they say I needed done. Special X-rays, deep tooth cleaning over a few visits. I should’ve known something wasn’t right on my first new patient visit, when the receptionist was the one who cleaned my teeth. Staffing issues? Maybe they consistently seek out new patients for the ones that leave? I’ll be looking for a new dentist

Experiencia fantástica: My crown came off while eating supper. I called the emergency line. They took me right in (it was 5pm on a Thursday). They made an impression for a new crown and recemented the old one temporarily. It was on a front tooth. They worked very efficiently and the whole process was painless. Dr Pike and her amazing Staff made my day.

Experiencia negativa: My experience with Dr. Pike’s is from 7 years ago but we live in town and our town Facebook page blew up last night with over 40 people chiming in about their bad experience with Deerfield Family Dentistry and now I feel like I need to share our story. Our whole family were patients over 7 years ago when my 10 year old son needed 4 baby teeth pulled as directed by our orthodontist. We had Dr. Pike perform the extractions as she was our family dentist. As she pulled the first tooth both my son and I questioned if she was pulling the correct teeth because she pulled a bottom tooth and the instructions were for top teeth. She told me I was scaring my son and that she knew what she was doing and instead of stopping to figure out where the confusion was, she continued and pulled 3 more of the wrong teeth! In a panic I had my husband bring the physical paperwork from our orthodontist to the office and she admitted she pulled the wrong teeth and she had never seen that paperwork and placed blame on the orthodontist. I was told the two offices would consult with each other and never guessed that Dr. Pike would pull the incorrect teeth if she wasn’t sure which ones to pull and then that she would dismiss my concerns when I tried to question her mid procedure. She apologized and didn’t charge us and offered to make a retainer for my son to save the spaces that were now vacant from teeth that should not have been pulled. Deerfield is a small town and I didn’t want to ruin her business for a mistake and I felt ashamed that I let her intimidate me and my son was traumatized from the experience so we just wanted to get him competent care and move on after changing to a new dentist and orthodontist. But last night when I saw how many other people have had bad experiences with our small town dentist I knew that I needed to speak up and get my story out so she never does this again. My son in now 17 and just finally got his braces off after extensive orthodontics to correct the space and damage left by Dr. Pike’s irresponsible actions. If you still choose to go to Dr. Pike just don’t let her bully or intimidate you if you feel like something is not right.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible business. They were rude to my wife and told her she couldn't leave to get a payment from home after a surprise bill. She had the money just not on her.

Experiencia negativa: Overbilled for x-rays I didn't need and all they cared about was getting paid for them. Several calls and never did have the honor of speaking with the dentist about the issue.

Experiencia negativa: In effort to prevent others from being exhorted as I have been by Deerfield Family Dentistry, I am posting my personal experience with said practice. What has transpired with me, I would categorize as ‘double dipping’, in my personal opinion. Deerfield Family Dental Practice was informed by my insurance company 5 days prior to the onset of my treatments exactly what my portion would be during a phone call made by dental office to insurance company. PRIOR to onset of treatment, dental office presented me with quote approximately in that amount which they had been provided. Yet, when treatments were COMPLETED, I was suddenly, in a waiting room filled with other patients, given a bill for approximately double that amount. When I questioned it, I was told that this was the portion I was expected to pay and required to make payment arrangements RIGHT THEN AND THERE. Needless to say, I was humiliated by my private information, basically publicly announced. During the ensuing 7 months, I began questioning, what I considered the outrageous amount I was charged and had fully paid by now. It is only recently that I have discovered via several in-depth conversations with multiple people from my insurance company that dental office was aware of what my personal payments were to be 5 days before treatment began in initial formerly described phone call. Further, my company informed me that they have paid their due amount, and mine was rightly what I was told PRIOR to treatment. In other words, dental practice received payment from BOTH insurance company and myself!!! I question whether this constitutes fraudulent behavior. I question as to why they didn't first bill the insurance then reach out for the remaining balance instead of taking my money, billing my insurance and keeping it all. Again, they have had 7 (SEVEN) months to reimburse me, yet when I have called them on it, it has been like pulling teeth to get them to repay what they wrongfully charged me; and to this day, I am still not totally repaid! Further, I need to state how I have been mistreated when I have repeatedly had to reach out to them in an effort to recoup my rightful money. Several times I have asked for owner of practice to call me to discuss this matter, all to no avail. I have been shown no contrition over what has been perpetrated against me. Recently, they informed me that OH, IT LOOKS LIKE WE FORGOT TO BILL YOUR INSURANCE FOR ANOTHER VISIT. Again, I question their practice ethics.

Experiencia negativa: My appointment did not go well today actually the last two did not go well , Three months ago I required two crowns one was successful done the second one cracked while trying to fix it in place, it was sent back for a replacement. The next two appointments were a repeat of the first one So a new impression was taken today and sent back to the lab I can only hope when I go to my next appointment a the end of December that it will be successful.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Pike is the worst dentist I have ever been to. She comes across as so sweet but do not let that fool you. You really do not find this out until you have major dental work. Now I understand profits over patients. I had two crowns initially recommended all because my dental insurance benefit was to expire. I fell for it. Two because the teeth were right next to each other. More importantly, I kept having to go back for an adjustment which caused unnecessary and significate pain throughout this process. She turned nasty real quick. Come to find out one of the crowns is not affixed properly to the tooth structure. I also ended up needing a root canal. I had to go to another dentist to make it all right. A very expensive lesson learned. Stay clear, as other reviewers have stated.

Experiencia negativa: First the good - everyone is very nice, the place is clean and scheduling appointments is pretty painless The BAD - I never left there without paying for something that was not covered or provided an estimate for. Over the course of 1 year, I paid $1,120 out of pocket for ONE of my kids and I have good insurance. As other 1 and 2 star reviews state, the upsell for other products was constant. Suspect billing practices - I went 13 years without these types of issues from providers in 4 different US states before we started getting care here.

Experiencia negativa: I initially thought this dental office stood out above the rest, but my experience quickly turned into one of the worst I've ever had. Services were repeatedly pushed on me despite my clear refusals. Pricing was vague, with estimates based on guesses, and Dr. Pike provided treatment advice without knowing my medical history—an unprofessional approach. My temporary crown was dropped on the floor, and I was quoted $800 for a night guard by a dental assistant. Later, another staff member informed me that the correct price was $500—a still exorbitant amount, especially after being told it would need to be replaced annually. Future treatments were recommended, which a second opinion later confirmed to be unnecessary. I spent $3,500 out of pocket, trusting this office, and left with another $10,000 in anticipated future procedures. Worse, I began experiencing pain in previously healthy teeth and developed gaps that were never present before the treatment. This office clearly prioritizes profit over patients, showing no interest in meaningful communication or genuine care. If you're looking for a trustworthy dentist, there are far better options elsewhere

Experiencia positiva: I was disappointed with some back and forth decisions on my care. My first appointment I was told I had a cavity, dentist wanted to do a $3000.00 job but I wanted my tooth pulled, would have costed me $230.00. It was a back tooth, so I elected to have it pulled. When I went for the appointment to have it pulled, which I assumed was going to happen, she said no, she doesn't think it's bad enough to be pulled! She wanted to put caps for $3000.00. I left with no work done and was charged $75.00 because I took up an appointment time! If I want my cavity pulled I feel she should have done that. It's a cavity!!

The room s were all warm and welcoming with all of the latest equipment. I was nervous going into my first appointment at Deerfield because I’ve just had a series of disappointing dentists the past few years. Everyone made me feel welcome and made sure I was comfortable every step of the process- which included X-rays, cleaning, and an Invisalign scan. I appreciate the family atmosphere they have there. It doesn’t feel like a chain dentistry run by a huge corporation. Experiencia negativa: Payed up the ass for services/ crowns and they put my crown on wrong, went to another dentist where they told me to get it fixed immediately BECAUSE OF THEIR FAULT and cut me off multiple times regarding my schedule and what works for me as they should be able to work around that, because it wouldn’t have to get fixed if they did it right in the first place. Would definitely not recommend to anyone to go here. They called me after I left this review to drop me as a patient and turned away from fixing the tooth they messed up. This place is a joke!

Experiencia fantástica: Our entire family has been coming here for years now, and we always receive wonderful care. We are each different people with different personalities and preferences, but we are all completely satisfied here and leave with no complaints after each visit.

Experiencia negativa: The appointment started off with x-rays however, the staff never checked to see that I already had x-rays from my previous dentist, So I was charged in full for these. Next came the Cleaning , the staff only did the polishing. Not any real in-depth cleaning even though I was charged for the service. All in all got charged $800 for the visit, got x-rays I did not need, and no in depth Cleaning . They did not check to verify they were able to accept my insurance and did not give me any estimate of service costs before they were done even though I gave them my insurance card info prior to the start of my visit. That left me with having to pay in full out of pocket at the end of the visit. I went to a second dentist the very next day who does accept my insurance to establish care and follow up on any needed procedures. This new dentist told me I still had tartar everywhere on my teeth and asked why I hadn’t had my teeth cleaned at my previous visit! For $800 I at least should have had my teeth cleaned , when I asked several times that they make sure my teeth were fully cleaned. I even had to ask for my own dental rinse before I left the practice and the dentist acted like that was just an after thought. By far worst experience. 0 stars.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband had his first appointment with Dr Pike this morning based on his experience, I will definitely be switching to her dental office as well. My husband doesn’t care for dentist visits but his experience was so effortless and positive he looks forward to his next visit.

Experiencia fantástica: I am not a fan of going to the dentist! But the staff at deerfield family dentistry made me feel welcomed and relaxed. I received a much needed comprehensive exam and cleaning. They made me feel so good about myself that I agreed to a follow appt next week. Thank you to all of the staff.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing service I had my tooth hurting since December and nobody would pull it I reached out Deerfield dentist and was same day oral surgery went amazing and thank you so much you guys are the best dentist and I definitely will be coming back

Experiencia fantástica: Today was another great day at the dentist. I’m so grateful for the people, treatments & payment options. I loved the way the hygienist cleaned my teeth. She was gentle and very thorough. She was also just a nice down to earth person. Dr. Pike is on vacation so I saw her new coworker Dr. Tanya. She just did a check up and gave me a green flag and again such a nice person. I don’t know what I like best about this office. The staff are friendly, professional, knowledgeable & gentle. The building is beautiful. The snacks, drinks, lip balm and other items are really a nice touch. I feel like part of the family over there. Today I even got my new whitening gel! Can’t wait to use it. I think this is THE BEST OFFICE!

Experiencia negativa: To take advantage of an 82 year old and charge her 500.00 per tooth on 4 that are below the gums and 2 visible. 3010.00. Are you serious? Time to move on. I'll bring her to Tufts University in Boston and pay almost nothing. Dr. Pike, you amazed me in a bad way. Your TRUE COLORS have come out. Greedy for the EVIL SATANIC DOLLAR. Please GOD, deal with these businesses and shady characters.

Experiencia fantástica: Most gentle and kind dentist I’ve ever been to. I had a root canal done and I would’ve believed you if you said it was just a regular filling. They are so sweet and will accommodate you in any way possible. I highly recommend them!
