Experiencia positiva: Overall we had a really good experience. Everyone was super friendly and patient with my 5 year old who was feeling nervous out his visit. A few draw backs would be— they don’t take insurance but they will bill your insurance for you for possible reimbursement. They handle the submitting process so the patient doesn’t have to, which is nice. We had to wait three weeks to get seen but it wasn’t an emergency so that was fine with us. They gave us good information so we could make an informed decision. Would go back!

It is hard to find a doctor who is honest, thorough, and considers a more natural approach whenever possible. Dr Ikuta is very knowledgeable in airways and ties that may impact the functionality of the tongue, and its role in mouth development and airway health. I do believe he is the best in this area and worth the drive for anyone in the Central Valley.

My almost 1 year old had her tongue , lip, and buccal ties corrected here when she was about 3 months old in less than 10 mins she was done! They actually provide follow ups a few times for a whole year! My older kids are now getting help as well with their jaw expansions without invasive procedures and I’m so happy that my concerns have been heard and not just slapping a band aid or a simple wait and see or they’ll grow out of it approach but an actual solution for a healthier future! In just 2 months my daughter has had significant change in her teeth with less pain and the rest of her teeth being able to come in without crowding on top of each other

Lactation consultant referred us to Dr ikuta for a release and he was able to educate us on our son’s oral dysfunctions. We proceeded with lease procedure and are very pleased. Dr. Ikutas staff is top notch and Dr ikuta is the kind of dentist you want to see. Kind. Compassionate. Caring.

Experiencia fantástica: We took our 3 week old son for an evaluation to identify a possible lip and tongue tie. Unfortunately for my son he had both lip and tongue ties along with bucal ties. Dr. Ikuta was very through and able to clearly explain what he was seeing and the impacts it could cause now and later. Additionally, he listening attentively to my concerns and answered all my questions. I appreciated that I did not feel rushed during my appointment. Ultimately we decided to move ahead with the procedure to have his ties released that same day. The entire procedure took about 15 min. His assistant I can’t remember her name a Mexican woman was so kind and gentle with ME and my son. They brought back our boy and let us nurse him and soothe him in a separate room. Afterwards, the same woman walked us through the exercises and what to expect. So thankful for her. My momma heart ached but she was reassuring. If you have any concerns with ties for your little one don’t hesitate and make an appointment. We recommend Dr. Ikuta and his office 10/10

Experiencia fantástica: I was referred to Dr. Ikuta’s office by a coworker for an evaluation of a suspected tongue tie (of my own). I recently moved to Fresno and was also in need of a new dentist… although there are many dentists in Fresno, I knew finding a reputable professional to evaluate oral ties was not easy. My first visit consisted of the most thorough evaluation and consultation I have ever received. This office has some great technology! Lisa was communicative, gentle, and creative when handling some of my not-so-favorite parts of a dental exam. Dr. Ikuta was just as informative and gentle with his examination. He listened to my thoughts and concerns and explained my options and his thoughts on my various needs thoroughly. I returned the following week for a cleaning with Lynette and she was awesome. She explained what she was doing every step of the process, made frequent efforts to check in and make sure I was comfortable, and provided some recommendations along with a to-go bag of oral health supplies. I can say I am happy to make the 40+ minute drive to Dr. Ikuta’s office in the future. They have made a wonderful first impression and I am looking forward to having Dr. Ikuta and his team for my care.

We were happy with our collaborative decision to get her tie lasered. It was quick but heart-wrenching as parents, but overall a great decision for her, as she is happy and feeding much better with less gas and a much better latch. If you are on the fence about this, do your child the service of at least talking about it with them. They will not push you to get it done! Just provide expert opinion. :)
