Experiencia negativa: Overall appointment was fine. I gave my insurance information prior to my appointment. The day of the appointment they said they don’t have any insurance on file so I gave it once again. After my appointment I started to receive bills due to them saying i never gave my insurance information. For months I attempted to call the 800 number for dental associates to give them my insurance information and they never answered or called back. I finally got through to someone so once again for the 3rd time gave my insurance information. Til this day I’m still receiving a bill due to them not being able to properly put through insurance. I’ve also emailed them & attempted to go in to handle the situation so it does not go into collections & they tell me i need to go through the 800 number even though they don’t answer or called back.

Experiencia negativa: Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. Dental associates in general just isn't great. I've never had a great experience and now with my kids, we continue to have bad experiences. Although I can't say my kids have had a bad experience at the dentist office...since dental associates constantly cancels our appointments, set months in advance. Not only that, I've talked to people who have left working for Dental Associates and have heard just terrible things. Seems like just not a great place. There are local options out there, people. We don't have to go to big box dental.

Experiencia fantástica: I wish I could give 10 stars — truly the best dental experience I’ve ever had I had a cleaning at Dental Associates in Sturtevant on December 30th, and I’ve honestly never had an experience like this at a dentist before. My hygienist, Leah Verikas, R.H.D, was absolutely exceptional. She was kind, incredibly knowledgeable, and made me feel cared for every single minute I was in that chair. So many offices rush you through and you feel like just another number. With Leah, it was the opposite. She took her time, explained everything, checked in on my comfort, and the cleaning itself felt significantly better and more thorough than any one I’ve ever had. I left truly shocked by how great I felt. She went above and beyond!!!! Recommending the right gum care products, discussing night guards, even looking things up with me to make sure I understood my options. She showed me proper flossing techniques specifically for a spacer I’ve had for YEARS that no one has ever taken the time to explain before. That alone changed everything. She genuinely cared, and it showed. Leah didn’t just clean my teeth, she restored my faith in what dental care is supposed to feel like. I left smiling bigger than when I came in, and it completely made my week. Dental Associates is extremely lucky to have her, and I will absolutely be back because of the quality of care she provided. If you want a dental experience where you feel seen, supported, educated, and truly cared for, ask for Leah. You’ll be grateful you did.

Experiencia negativa: SCAMMERS !!! DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!!!!!!!!!HORRIBLE DENTIST. Went in for toothache the dentist pulled the WRONG TOOTH and sent me home. I woke up the next day still in pain so had to get the correct tooth pulled and then was told i was gonna get a “deal” on the mistake. I actually agreed to pay 3k for implants. I put a deposit down and took xrays and then was NOT CONTACTED for over a year… after i left message after message. Finally someone contacted me and said the price was now 5k. Just totally disregarded the original cost and mistake. I have emails and receipts to prove the original out of pocket cost but they said there insurance has changed now. So i have to pay more. Absolutely ridiculous on how dentists can SCAM and DEFRAUD customers out of there money knowing the whole time there intentions are to NOT fix the problem but to overcharge the customer and then blame insurance companies. I went to a different orthopedic surgeon for implants and was totally satisfied with there work. DO NOT GO TO DENTAL ASSOCIATES… you will regret it. FRAUDS SCAMMERS MALPRACTICE!!

Please read the other reviews regarding billing, as I will tell you, the experience we have had, and continue to have due to incorrect billing has been more time spent on our end versus the time in the dentist chair Continual issues in regards to records and billing… Getting told the account has been cleared up to then get a statement in the mail, threatening to go to collections not once, but now twice, even after they told us everything was updated, and they overbilled us and they owe us money back (which we have yet to receive). Trust me, save yourself the headache and hassle and avoid this place

They advised us to get there 15 minutes before, so of course we were there 35 minutes before. 4:20 came and 10 other people went ahead of her. It wasn’t until I went to the counter (4:45 ) that they tried to find someone to see her. I had high hopes for this location, but they provided sub par results.UPDATE: We’re here for a surgical procedure. The appointment was for 10:30 and it’s now 11:10.

Experiencia negativa: Stay away from this place!!! As others have mentioned extremely shady billing practices and always trying to upsell you on something else. I paid out of pocket $500 for a 3D X-ray and then received non stop letters claiming I owed them $20. When I didn’t pay it ballooned to $74 with no explanation. It then was sent to collections whom I responded to and explained they just made up a charge when they make you prepay the full cost at the beginning of each appointment. I requested a breakdown of these charges and proof of me agreeing to them. A month goes by and I hear nothing and they spitefully cancel my cleaning appointment I’ve had for months in advance. Will never go back here.

Experiencia fantástica: I unexpectedly broke a molar. I called about 2pm to make an appointment and was in the dental chair by 10am the next am. Thank you so much for fitting me in and helping me. Md. Toor and Vanessa were beyond pleasent, kind, helpful and efficient. They worked so well together! I did not even feel the injection! I was on my way home before 11am with a new filling and NO pain. Thanks again!!

Experiencia negativa: Update: 4 months after the procedure and Dental Associates has still not submitted a claim with the correct information. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Extremely frustrated with the billing department. My wife had a periodontist surgery in late February. We paid the estimated bill up front and the procedure went fine. About two weeks later we got a notice from our dental insurance saying that the procedure should have been billed through our medical insurance first. We talked with Dental Associates and they admitted they made a mistake by not billing to medical insurance first and that they would bill our medical insurance ASAP. It's been two months and we just reached out to our medical insurance for an update. Our insurance stated that they received two claims from D.A. but that they were missing information, so the claims couldn't be processed. D.A. has had our money for 2 months, and we are still trying to get insurance processed so we know the actual cost. I don't understand how a dental office can do business in this manner and make billing mistakes multiple times over a 2-month span. Especially when they have you pre-pay based on estimated costs.

Experiencia negativa: This is the only place that will take our insurance, I wish we could go else where. They can't keep pediatric dentist and when they have one there hours are extremely limited. 2 Wednesdays in the Sturtevant office a month is not enough.

Experiencia positiva: Care is okay but every single appointment I arrive on time or early and I’m left waiting 20-45 mins past my appointment time before I’m even taken back. Not to mention added wait time once I’m the chair. This is the first dentist office that I only get to see the dentist once a year. Most other offices I would be seen and checked over at every cleaning each 6 months.

Experiencia negativa: I don't like giving bad reviews, but felt I needed to in this case. Went in for a partial. What a horrible experience!!!. Had three different dentists and assistants. Had to have four impressions made because they were either lost or not made right. The whole process took at least four months due to errors on their part. I can't wear the partial while eating and it is so loose I can push it up and down with my tongue. I even wound up asking for a discount since I had to go back so many times due to their mistakes. I do not recommend this dental practice. Again, a horrible experience.

They will charge you for any and everything they cab possibly think of, quote you a coat a charge you something else and it's a revolving door of doctors. All the good doctors they get leave in a few years. Their billing is convoluted and sneaky. They tell you things are covered and they aren't. It's very frustrating to have a dentist you like and not want to go because the billing is always a mess!

Experiencia fantástica: I just have 1 complaint. I was told that Dr Chow was no longer coming to the Sturtevant location. So I had to drive to Franklin. When I made the next appointment to see Dr Chow it's in Sturtevant. I don't understand. Jeanine, the hygienist in Sturtevant is fantastic. I hope she stays with you. Take Care and Be Safe.

Experiencia negativa: Go somewhere else. I wish I had one positive thing to say. I had my teeth straightened here using an Invisalign type product . So many things went wrong. Booking appointments was a nightmare. Always had to wait at least a month to get in. Even if my trays were on site and all I was doing was picking up. The trays always came cut so rough they would immediately make my mouth bleed. I had to sit and file each tray before use. I asked why they didn’t do this before giving them to the client. The response I got was “everyone’s mouth is different. We don’t know where. It s going to hurt you”. That statement makes sense except for the fact that the jagged edges would clearly have cut anyone and could easily be felt with fingers. When I had 5 trays left, the doctor told me I was “done”. They had some major staffing issues during this time and I believe he cut my treatment short to get me off the books. My final retainers don’t fit well. After wearing them my bite doesn’t match up for a couple days and my jaw is out of whack. I have also been biting my cheek and lip while eating to the point of seeing blood and having marks from repeatedly biting the same area. When I brought this to his attention he said literally this “ You know when you go to the doctor and tell him hey doc, it hurts when I do this? Well then don’t do that”. I’m leaving much out but last, I never knew what was happening. There was a day where I came in and no one said anything and they started filing and drilling the bottom of my back teeth. I was guessing this was for a permanent retainer wire, but I had never gone though this process before and it would have been nice to have them explain what they were doing. At that same appointment I also told the dr that my teeth still aren’t matching up/bite is off. In response to that he drilled and filed the inside, outside and tops of several teeth and then asked if that was better. I left feeling like if we had just completed the last 5 trays, I would not have had to had my teeth filed down like that. It’s felt like they were cutting corners at every step. I wish I could say I’m pleased with the final product but I feel like I’m looking at a life of wearing my retainer and the waiting two days for my bite to meet and jaw to straighten out only to repeat the process forever. To be clear, this review is for the ortho side at the Sturtevant location. I still attend the dental portion of this location for my cleaning and exams and have nothing but wonderful things to say about them.

Experiencia fantástica: I drive from Milwaukee to the Sturtevant location, not because I just like driving or paying extra money for gas. My hygienist, Jeannie Ledwitch is THE BEST! Jeannie has been cleaning my teeth since when she was at the Burleigh location in Milwaukee. When I tell you she's been my dental hygienist for over 20 years, please know that speaks volumes. I can count on one hand the number of relationships I've had for 20+ years, lol. I can count on one finger the professional relationships I've had for 20+ years, and that's Jeannie. Dentist have come and gone, but my hygienist has been constant and the reason I stay with Dental Associates. I can't complete this review without mentioning the support staff. When I walk in, I'm always greeted with a smile, even when I'm running behind schedule. I've never felt disrespected due to my occasional tardiness. I point that out because tardiness can result in rudeness at the front desk (NEVER HERE THOUGH, EVEN IF THEY HAVE TO RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT).

There were also 3 assistants helping monitor and work with him on the procedure that were also fantastic. I definitely recommend Dr. Gundlach for dental surgery.

Experiencia negativa: They can never do one procedure in a single visit. Always breaking it up for more invoicing. Response time to inquiries is sub par. Extremely poor customer service. No doubt this will provoke an automated reply with some pre-typed out apology response telling me to call them to discuss the issue. No need for that, just get better.

Experiencia fantástica: phenomenal people at the front desk, phenomenal techs and assistants and a truly wonderful doctor! I had complications with my wisdom teeth removal (due to my fault NOT dental associates) and they truly made me feel so safe and so comfortable with everything going on. They explained every step and process and ensured me time was NOT a constraint when it came to my safety. During surgery, if I felt any pain everyone was quick to fix it. My surgery couldn’t have been longer than 20 minutes and I’m barely in any pain about 12 hours later. Thank you again ladies, you have no idea how much it meant to me. Thank you so much Dr. Gundlach for being so kind.

My hygienist was 15 mins late to my appt after getting reminders of my appt texts and emails about 6 different times. No apologies cause she's running late. Never ask if I have any problems. Does not establish and communication just waits for me to do open my mouth. Throughout the visit never rinses my mouth even after removing everything and polishing. Until finally st the end 1 rinse. All she says is your next appt is in December do u want schedule. Never gives me a toothbrush and toothpaste like they normally do. I believe she was races because the appt before me she was very pleasant with the patient before me. Pt was of White authenticity. After all this place charges and I get treated like this is RIDICULOUS!. This certainly will be the last visit I make here at the Sturtevant location. I'm appalled on how I got treated when Kenosha office is NEVER like this.
