Experiencia positiva: Edit to add that the patient care coordinator Denise called after seeing this review and provided a very professional response and apology for the situation. Everyone we interacted with at this office was very kind and friendly. However they seem to be overbooked because they couldn't schedule my daughter's appointment to get fillings for anything sooner than 2 months out. We went for the first time in July because my daughter was experiencing pain on the right side of her mouth. They did x-rays and found 3 cavities that needed to be filled, but then scheduled her appointment to get fillings for late September! They reassured me that they had cancellations all the time, but two weeks went by without any contact. In addition, they sometimes switch office spaces with an orthodontist, and the day we went in for the first time they texted me five minutes after our appointment time to let me know that they were in the other office, at which point we were already in the "wrong" office (the one that says "Just Kids Pediatric Dentistry" on the door. And to top it all off, the suite number they sent me in the text wasn't even correct, but thankfully the orthodontist staff in the original office had told me which suite number the dentist was in that day. In summary, the staff were great but I am shocked that they would schedule an appointment for fillings two months out (I did take my daughter to a different pediatric dentist and they did the fillings the same day).

Experiencia fantástica: What an amazing experience! First time taking my kids, and I'm so happy I did. I came to bring my 1-year-old soon due to an accident that made one of his front teeth go up his gums. I needed another opinion because my first opinion told me he needed surgery done and needed to be put down under anesthesia. My heart dropped, and I immediately started to find more answers and other opinions. This was actually my third opinion that I needed to hear. Thankfully, he doesn't need surgery. All my stress went away; it was like I was able to breathe again. All the staff are so kind and welcoming, an amazing team.

Had a great first check up where they worked with me to help figure out what work could be done that insurance would cover since switching from an old dentist a month before. My son is 4 and had a great experience as well. Recently had dental surgery with them as well and was very well informed the whole time and comfortable experience when we left. Got the anesthesiologist phone number to contact if any issues came up. Did have to contact once but it was due to a mild allergy to the tape and was able to send them photot and clear it up within about 10 minutes which was very reassuring.

My 2 kids had to come in at the same time and I was concerned about comforting them both at the same time and when we walked in they were comforted by the staff, the dentist and anyone else that was involved. I didn't have to stress at all there was so much love, care and kindness here. We are delighted to have this care team and return for future visits for our kids. Absolutely the best staff and assistants as well, smiles and they just radiated kindness I wish I remembered the ladies names.... Thank you so much.

Experiencia fantástica: Had a great experience today with our first visit to Just Kids. Mainly came to get a second opinion on fillings and treatment prior to ortho. Dr. Jeff was really nice! Him and his assistant made treatment go by so smoothly. I was probably more nervous than my daughter. Nonetheless, it was super fast and no tears involved. He even made her a balloon flower afterward! Would definitely recommend this office.

Experiencia negativa: I had a very disappointing experience at this pediatric dentistry clinic. During our visit, there was a clear push toward unnecessary procedures, especially laughing gas and multiple X-rays, without proper explanation or clear medical need. When I asked questions, the answers were vague and didn’t justify why these were required for what should have been a routine visit. It felt less like patient care and more like upselling services. What made this more concerning is that laughing gas (nitrous oxide) is not completely risk-free. Even though it’s commonly used, it can cause side effects like nausea, dizziness, headaches, and in some cases breathing discomfort—especially in younger kids or those with underlying issues. Despite this, there was no real discussion of risks or alternatives. Honestly, it gave me the impression that the clinic is more focused on making money than genuinely caring about children’s health and well-being. That’s extremely concerning when it comes to pediatric care, where trust and transparency are so important. I would strongly encourage other parents to ask detailed questions and consider getting a second opinion before agreeing to additional treatments here.

Experiencia fantástica: This office is exactly what I was looking for when picking a dentist for my childern. The staff is so welcoming and great with childern. My son had a surface filling and was pretty nervous. He was seen by Dr. Tarek and Dr. Jeff, both Doctors were so patient explaining the cleaning and filling process. After his appointment, the receptionist Liz was so sweet and made him a dog balloon and let him pick out a toy from the vending machine. His ballon pop as soon as we went outside, so I went back inside to request another one which she did happily. Sometimes it's just the small things that make these appointments a little easier and they went above and beyond. My twin girls will also be coming to this office for their first appointments. Highly recommend!

The atmosphere is very inviting and we were greeted right away and waited less the five minutes before being brought into the patient area. This place allows parents to accompany their children which was a huge selling point for us. Liz was our hygienist and she was amazing! She took the time to answer all of our questions and made balloon animals for our child. Although my daughter freak out a bit while her teeth were being examined the staff were extremely professional and patient! We are very happy we choose this dental office for our toddler!

The dental hygienist was incredibly kind and attentive, consistently checking on my daughter to ensure she was comfortable and pain-free. She also provided detailed guidance on areas to focus on and how to maintain good dental care at home. The Dr. Chang was friendly, which made the experience even better. Overall, the visit was smooth, efficient, and very pleasant.

Experiencia negativa: I have to say the second time around to bringing my son to this dentist was disappointing. My son went in for his regular 6 month check-up. The lady who checked me in stated that it would be out of pocket for x-rays since the insurance only covers 1x/year and x-rays were already performed by this office on the first visit we had. I declined the x-rays to be done. On 12/11/25 I get an email from the dental office indicating a balance due in which I thought was weird being that my son only went in for a routine cleaning and exam. So this is what prompted me to log into my insurance to look at claims history. The amount they indicated as balance due matched what they collected from my insurance for a service never done. I come to find out that they billed my insurance for x-rays that were never done. I don’t understand how a mistake like that can happen . You definitely need to make sure to always check your EOB on what is being billed to your insurance by this Dental practice.

They remembered her name and had small talk with her. Our daughter loves going here to the point that she looks forward to going in every 6 months.

We were a bit anxious to take her and delayed the appointment, however upon arrival she was thrilled with the games in the lobby and despite missing a nap she joyfully jumped into the dentist chair and watched Finding Nemo while she went through with her first cleaning and flossing. Already booked our 6 month follow up for her and fully intend to bring her little brother (who is not yet born yet!) when it's his time. Thank you again for being so patient and understanding and clear with instructions on how to best take care of her dental health!

I actually forgot about my appointment and was supposed to be charged $80 for missing it, but they called me and were kind enough to reschedule for later the same day—so I didn’t get charged! On top of that, my insurance had changed and I forgot to update them, but the front desk staff helped sort it out quickly and smoothly. The dental assistant and doctor were both fantastic with kids. The doctor even made my daughter laugh during the visit, and she kept talking about how funny he was for hours afterward!

I was thrilled to find out he also practiced at this location since we’re new to the area. It was a no brainer to transfer our little ones here. I’m also amazed with the patience the hygienist had when caring for my kids (age 6 and 2). They were gentle and calm which made the whole experience pleasant for the kids and me! The rest of the staff was also kind and professional. Overall, I’m glad I’ve found a dentist close to home and for the care we received!

We have tried several different Dentists, but they either make us wait hours to be seen, are not pleasant, or try to get me to do unnecessary dental work for my kids. Dr. Chang and Dr. Kassem were very honest and take the time to explain all treatments to us, and only recommend what is absolutely necessary. We will definitely be staying at Pediatric Dentistry of Tracy.
