Experiencia negativa: I saw Dr. Christescu about two years ago for a routine exam and cleaning. During that visit, she identified what she said was a cavity and told me it needed to be drilled and filled. When I began asking basic questions about the diagnosis and what she was seeing, the interaction felt abruptly shut down. My concerns were dismissed, and it was clear that there would be no discussion or explanation — the recommendation was presented as final. Shortly after that, she left the room to attend to something else and did not return. That experience left me uncomfortable and uncertain. I had prepaid for two appointments, so I chose not to proceed with the filling and returned about six months later for the second visit. At that appointment, she again told me I needed invasive dental work, describing a procedure that involved drilling through one tooth to access the side of another. Once again, when I tried to ask questions and understand the reasoning, I felt there was no openness to discussion. At that point, I decided not to continue as a patient. What makes this especially troubling is what I learned later. Two years after those visits, I saw another dentist I trust and had a full exam and X-rays done. I was told I have no cavities and that no treatment is needed. If the issue identified two years ago had truly been urgent or progressive, you would reasonably expect it to be worse by now. Instead, it doesn’t appear to exist at all. Dentistry involves permanent, irreversible procedures, and patients deserve clear explanations, thoughtful discussion, and a willingness to answer questions — especially when aggressive treatment is being recommended. I’m very glad I sought a second opinion. I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience, but based on mine, I would strongly encourage patients to ask questions, trust their instincts, and seek a second opinion before agreeing to invasive dental work.

He was terrified of dentists and we always had a lot of trouble, but Dr. C and the staff won him over immediately at the first visit playing with a chair and looking at his teeth with an open mouth, just having some fun with him. We moved to Mill Creek for 5 years and chose to drive the distance without thinking twice about it. We have never had such a skilled, friendly and professional dental team. Dr. C, of course, is one of a kind - truly the best dentist we’ve ever had and I’ve had many. She has detected and prevented issues and got us on a regular schedule. We are always welcome to warmly and the hygienists are all gentle.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been a loyal patient at this office for many years, primarily because of my hygienist. Unfortunately, she recently left after almost 30 years, and no one even notified me. It truly feels like the heart of this practice left with her. The experience is no longer the same, and the trust and comfort I built over decades is gone. On top of that, the doctor and front office staff are no longer the same. The focus now feels more about volume and money rather than personalized, quality care. It honestly feels like the difference between a fast-food chain and a fine dining experience — and not in a good way. I’m extremely disappointed. Long-term patients value consistency, relationships, and trust just as much as the care itself, and sadly, that’s been lost here.

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately, my experience at this dental office was extremely unpleasant. Doctor Cristescu was rude, dismissive, and spoke to me in a disrespectful manner when I asked about my outstanding treatment plan. There was no effort to explain things clearly or address my concerns, which is unacceptable in a healthcare setting. Patients deserve to be treated with respect, and that was not the case here. Her assistant Vio also looked very stressed working next to her and she even mentioned to me that she is burnt out working in the dental field! Honestly I don’t even feel comfortable to return and do not recommend this office!

It started with the front desk, this young lady treated my family member like she was independent and able to advocate for herself! Asking her the questions and being so patient while she tried to answer the questions! She was so kind, patient, and supportive! Then we were taken back by a hygienist named Kristi who explained what to expect and then she introduced us to the dental assistant who again was extremely supportive! After the initial exam the doctor came in and they told us that she would need a deep cleaning. Then, she explained everything to her and we walked through it together. Not only were they were very thorough but extremely knowledgeable! My family member was a dental assistant for many years and they let her tell them what she thought she needed, my family member was thrilled to be talking shop lol! In all the years I have been going to the dentist I have never had an experience like this and either had my family member!! Experiencia negativa: I went in for a comprehensive exam. I had a good experience there with the assistant taking radiographs of me and overall. i received a treatment plan to do 3 cavity fillings that Dr. Sandhu diagnosed. My appointment was cancelled by clinic due to front desk miscommunication with team. I received a second opinion elsewhere just to find out that 1 tooth of the planned filling was not needing treatment + 2 of the other planned fillings are just tiny stains that aren't even cavities. I found out from receiving 2nd opinion that i do have 1 tooth that needs filling which was not diagnosed nor even being watched by Dr. Sandhu. During exam, they took intraoral pictures of my teeth. One of the tooth had previous filling done that had been chipped, so now, there was a hole on the tooth. Dr proceeded to point out that tooth and told me it was a previously done sealant that had been chipped off. I work in a dental clinic as a assistant and i know that sealants are a protective coat that goes on top of the tooth, similar to paint. It does not need any drilling. I told her that it looks like it had cavity drilled out and is missing a portion of filling. she proceeded to explain that back in the days, dentist would drill along the biting surface of teeth to place sealants. I never write reviews but i refuse to not speak up on this serious matter. "Treating" a perfectly healthy tooth is unethical and is concerning. I do not recommend this dentist and if you have been seen by her and has pending treatment, i highly recommend going elsewhere to receive 2nd opinion. I also searched up her dental license credential out of curiosity to find out that her credential license for state of WA is not in the system. it may not be her legal name but just wanted to mention that in the review.

I have filling done by her that CRACKED 3 times, and she cannot even adjust the filling correctly, with one side higher than the other which hurts my jaw, imagine waking up with PAINFUL JAW! Have to come back 3 times to have it adjusted, never have encountered this bad dental service quality! Would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: Over the years I have had several different dentist and been at Eastside for 8 years or so except for a short time away recently due to insurance changes. When I came back a few months ago the contrast to my recent short experience elsewhere was apparent and i was grateful to be back home. Im sure this is a common experience for many but from the moment of walking through that door I was reminded what a quality service platform consist of. Starting off with quality well trained employees in the front and back to the appropriate tech to effectively and efficiently serve my care. Maybe the most important thing though is the staff and leadership providing quality care and it shows in their knowledge, recommendations and attention to details. I am confident the care i get is the same they would provide to a loved one. Thank you Eastside!

I popped a crown (from another dentist) on a Sunday night and Dr. C was able to put it back in Monday morning despite her already busy schedule. Experiencia negativa: This review is for two different services I have had at the clinic. First, I highly recommend Sabina for tooth cleaning! Five stars all the way! She is gentle, professional, and a skilled hygienist! She is also the reason why I go back. As far as the dentist Dr. Sandhu who I saw...I would highly recommend to STAY AWAY if you don't want to be traumatized for life!!!! I went in for cavity filling. Huge needles were shoved in my face without being discreet! Not just one time but multiple times ! The whole ordeal continued with the fillings! I went home with a cut in my left upper lip! Can anyone tell me what type of cavity fillings was this dentist performing? I have prior experience with dental work but never have I had an experience like this!

Experiencia negativa: TLDR: Will upsell you on invasive dental care and at least n=1, will kill your tooth in the process. Moved from out of state last fall and was looking for a new dentist. On new patient exam was informed I needed a crown on a tooth that was asymptomatic. Was unsure but given wait times for 2nd opinions ultimately elected to go forward - EFD has only 5 star reviews. Two other members of my house also had 1st time appointments during this process - both were told they needed crowns as well for asymptomatic teeth. Amazing that all 3 of us all needed an invasive an expensive procedure. Unfortunately, I'd already had a temporary placed by the time of the 3rd family members visit, so I finished the procedure with them. While the temporary was on I had mild to moderate sensitivity which was discussed when getting the permanent placed and told that was expected. Since getting the permanent on, I can only eat on one side of my mouth and can't eat or drink hot or cold products without marked discomfort. I have visible gum recession that wasn't there prior to the start of this endeavor and the exposed tooth is discolored. So either the dentist failed to recognize root/advanced disease in a tooth that had no patient recognized clinical signs or she caused damage during an up-sale of dental care. Either case is not someone I'd trust to correct the problem. Would strongly recommend at least a 2nd opinion before trusting her for anything other than routine care. Additionally, cold/impersonal communication during exam and treated her staff poorly during procedure which just made the whole experience all the more uncomfortable.

I showed up to Issaquah 5 years ago in my moving truck new to the area with a shattered rear molar on a Friday and Dr C was the only Dentist in Issaquah that we called that was willing to open up her busy schedule to reconstruct my shattered tooth with an exposed root on a Friday between her other clients. She did such a phenomenal job we established care with her and haven’t looked back. In fact most of my staff see her and I recommend her office to any client that asks and even some that don’t.

Experiencia negativa: Asked them to not do the routine dental X-rays on my daughter’s mouth- but only what was necessary to fix a painful tooth. Learned they took a full series of X-rays when I received the bill. When I talked to them in a follow-up call- they informed me I needed to sign paperwork making this request- yearly. Than they agreed to see her because the tooth was still causing her problems- and SAID they wouldn’t do X-rays for this visit and I didn’t need to sign anything. Recognizing that I had already trusted their word before- decided to find another dentist.

I am so appreciative of the way they communicated, with amazing digital photos and clear explanations of diagnoses and treatment options. If you are anxious about going to the dentist, I recommend this practice 100%.

Experiencia negativa: Have to be honest - I’m not sure how this place has so many 5 star reviews… It’s hard to connect to the front desk for scheduling. I’ve currently been waiting 2 full days for a call back. I had a previous scheduling issue where I received an appointment reminder for my husband’s exam and I showed up thinking it was my exam (our appointments were scheduled within several days of each other). When I arrived, my husband and I were able to switch appointments so that I was seen that day and my husband would take my exam appointment several days later. I told the front desk to please make sure to contact my husband directly about his appointments - not me. They confirmed they had his contact info and apologized. However, after my appointment, the dentist personally called me begging for my husband to show up to his appointment the next day (I guess he hadn’t confirmed the appointment yet). She also told me she’d have to send staff home if he didn’t show up. Super strange, super unprofessional.

As usual I did not experience any pain at all and I'm *really really really sensitive to dental pain!* For example, I have my teeth cleaned with 2 appts, one day for the left side and one day for the right side, on both days I have nitrous and Novocain (yes, my wife is less than impressed with my dental visit braveness...). For all my visits Dr. Cristescu and her entire team do a great job of keeping me comfortable and pain free. They are very professional, friendly, and caring people, highly recommended!

Experiencia fantástica: My experience with the dentists and staff of ESD covers all of the actions between EFD and the 3 of us in my family. It has been very nice working with each of the members of EFD as we've been a little lax through COVID and have finally been catching up with our dental needs this year. From myself, my daughter, and my wife we have really appreciated the care and concern for us provided by EFD and will continue to use EFD for our dental services. And talk about gentle care. Today I fell asleep in the chair while they worked on my teeth!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. C gave my 15 year old daughter a Maryland Bridge in time for Christmas. It has been absolutely life changing for her. Ultimately, this prevents us from needing expensive implant surgery for her and can delay it until she is an adult. Plus, a teenager needs to have excellent looking teeth! Her teeth look amazing. Dr. C is a miracle worker. Our orthodontist referred us to her when she knew that the implant surgery would be complicated. I'm so incredibly grateful we found her!

Experiencia fantástica: After having a semi traumatic experience in my early twenties at a dentist. I hadn’t received so much as an annual cleaning for about 8 years. I was terrified to go and find out what damage had been done in the years that passed and what judgement awaited me. From my first call to my most recent crown replacement I can say hands down I’m so glad I chose to call eastside family dentistry. The receptionist was absolutely lovely and so reassuring that there would be no judgement over my lack of regular check ups. I’ve been so impressed with every hygienist that I’ve encountered with their positive attitude and kind words of support whenever I’m feeling apprehensive. The positive energy in this office is absolutely impeccable. The level of respect, care and patience from the team at this office is something I have been consistently impressed by and although I’ll be moving about an hour away I’ll be continuing to go here.

This office is sooo welcoming that you feel like you are part of their family from the minute you step in the door until you step out. The equipment used is up to date and easy on the patient. I love Dr Cristescu’s approach: “ let’s get you taken care of and you will be so happy.” A real positive “Let’s do this” attitude that gets the work done. Love the fact that they give estimates of work to be done in future. I would highly recommend going to this dental practice!

As to the quality of their work, it is excellent and I am one to know as I have had a myriad of issues with my teeth due to my background. They took their time to get good images, get my teeth good and clean, and set up a care and treatment plan to keep my teeth in excellent shape.
