Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Jackson and his staff are absolutely amazing with our kids. Helped us to get through a very difficult situation with my son’s teeth in an emergency situation. Kids absolutely love coming to the dentist!

Experiencia negativa: I called in to get my child rescheduled due to an insurance issue during the new year. I was told I had to pay $25 for rescheduling even though they couldn’t see us because of an insurance issue a few days before. The lady I talked to was super rude when I was trying to explain the situation. We will not be going back, we loved the Doctor but the front desk staff was so unprofessional and rude on the phone.

Experiencia fantástica: My family just moved back to the area and were searching for an office that offered basic dental needs all the way up to braces. When we first walked we noticed how beautiful the office was and was instantly greeted by Valerie! My kids were taken back and I later met with the dentist where he talked me through all my kids needs and reassured me they were doing a good job brushing. The entire staff was knowledgeable and very friendly! I would highly recommend anyone with children to visit this office! You won’t regret it!

The dental hygienist was nice, thorough, and efficient with my children (4 and 2)! The dentist was also very kind and answered all questions I had. The staff was also very kind and worked well with one another, which is refreshing. We recommend and will be back! Thank you to everyone who helped make something that can be scary- enjoyable for my children!

Instead of fearing the dentist after getting a filling, her response was "I wish I could stay at the dentist!". I couldn't recommend him and his practice more! Seems like we may have a Dentist in the family when she grows up!

Experiencia positiva: UPDATE, June 2025: I think Dr. Jackson is great, however, please be mindful that they don't verify and run insurance until after the dental appointment. They did x rays on my daughter twice in less than a year and now we are stuck with a bill we didn't plan for. The girls at the front desk are rude and insensitive. They call everyone "sweetie" and "honey" which is so demeaning. I asked for a call back from their manager and have yet hear from them on why they did two sets of x rays in less than a year. November 2024 Both of my kids go to playtime dental. They are always very friendly and do a great job cleaning their teeth. My youngest had to have a crown put in and Dr. Jackson was awesome throughout the entire procedure. This is a great dental office for kids.

Experiencia fantástica: All of my 3 kids love this dentist office! My daughter also receives orthodontist services here so its really convenient to be able to go to 1 place for everything. Its clean and fun and kid friendly. They are always calm and happy during treatments !

Experiencia fantástica: We first started coming here as a referral for my then 4 year old to have some dental work done. They’re fantastic with the kids and super nice staff and amazing with the kids. We’ve been to four dentists counting this one for our kids and this is by far my favorite and worth the almost hour drive.

Experiencia negativa: It took me 2 months to finally get ahold of the office to schedule an appointment. They were able to get us scheduled same week. I took 1 of my kiddos in for a cleaning and wanted to discuss some areas on his front teeth that were bothering him. The first red flag was the dental tech not allowing my 6yr old daughter to come back to the exam room with us. She had to wait in a separate room by herself for the duration of my son’s appointment. Nothing was mentioned during scheduling and I’ve never experienced that before. Dr Jackson seemed nice at first but once I denied the treatment plan of getting 8 crowns or simply pulling 8 baby teeth he asked me “what exactly do you expect from me”.. My kiddo has had the same cavities on his front teeth for 2 years. They haven’t progressed and aren’t something we need to have treatment on. Dr. Jackson disagreed and questioned the validity of our prior dentist. He also REFUSED to do any treatment on my child without anesthesia. If he would have actually looked at our medical records he would see my kiddo can’t have out patient anesthesia. It was an all or nothing situation. We never attempted to schedule treatment with this office but I did request a treatment plan and questioned the $100 fee for nitrous. At this point Dr Jackson came out and talked directly at me and said he wouldn’t be able to help our child. We have since gone to another dentist for a second opinion and Thank God we did! My son had a chipped crown on his front tooth and what appeared to be something stuck in his gum (thus causing him to dig at his gums, the tech at playtime dental nor Jackson caught this) our new dentist was appalled at the treatment plan given by this office, they also did the treatment needed on my son without any nitrous or anesthesia without any issues or push back. Just because this office is local doesn’t make it the best, I’d recommend making the drive out of town to find a dentist that cares about your children and not just his paycheck. Also to note, Dr. Jackson himself originally responded to my review but has since deleted it. His response was argumentative and violated multiple HIPPA violations (Impermissible Disclosures of Protected Health Information (PHI)

Experiencia negativa: Only allow one parent to go back with the child. We both took off work to be with my son during his first appointment. The other parent can't even watch from another room. Switching to another dentist. Fine, besides that policy.

Experiencia fantástica: We love Playtime dentist. I think my son was 5 his first visit and needed a filling. He was scared,but the staff is awesome and explain things to them at their level of understanding. He has had multiple filling and caps and is not afraid to go to the dentist at all! So that's a mom win! The dentist DOES NOT have to be a scary place!! Thank you, Playtime dental and Dr. Cockley!

Experiencia fantástica: From check in to check out, all the staff make you feel welcome and never judge you or your kid. They just want to help your kid towards healthy teeth. What ever is said about insurance is on the patient to look in to. Not just them. They’re just the messenger. My kid is on the spectrum, and from the dental assistant to the dentist, they accommodate. One appointment, my kid brought a stuffed toy. The assistant even measured the height and weight of the stuffed toy. Even adding the sunglasses to the stuffed toy. They make the kid feel included and show respect to them. At first, I didn’t like the idea of having the parent wait in the waiting room, with window view to the dentist chair. But I trust in them to take care of my kid. To trust my kid and them.

Experiencia fantástica: We had our first appointment at Playtime Dental today! The staff made it very comfortable for my girls, one who hadn’t been to a dentist before. They loved being a part of the “no cavities club” and their new toothbrushes. Thanks to staff we cant wait for our next visit.

Experiencia negativa: I would NOT recommend Playtime Dental due to their lack of transparency and failure to properly verify insurance before performing major procedures. I specifically called ahead to confirm that they accepted Aetna DMO, and their staff assured me they did. Based on this, I scheduled cleanings for my three children and proceeded with additional dental work for my child when cavities were found. Only AFTER 3 dental cleanings for all three of my children and a major dental procedure under anesthesia was completed was I informed that Playtime Dental was actually out-of-network with my insurance. This left me with a substantial, unexpected bill that I would have never agreed to had I been given accurate information. This is completely unacceptable—it is standard practice for dental offices to verify insurance BEFORE performing major work, especially something as serious as crowns and anesthesia. Their failure to do so put my family in a terrible financial position, and they have refused to fully correct their mistake. If you are considering this office, be VERY cautious and double-check everything they tell you about insurance coverage. I would never trust them with my children’s care again.

Experiencia negativa: I took my son to this location about 2-3 years ago. He had to get multiple crowns done due to an injury and a few cavities. Today I am sitting at Children’s Dental due to MULTIPLE crowns failing. Upon them taking X-rays of my son’s teeth they stated NONE of his crowns were sealed/seated correctly. He will have to get MOST of Playtimes dental work PULLED. My son is SIX and will be down and out so many teeth because of this absolute joke, chop shop dentist. Thank GOD his adult teeth are pushing through in the front so he won’t be down and out forever. But this place is a -100/10. Not only for their poor work, but the anesthesiologist PINCHED my son awake after his appointment. Causing him to cry and blood to pour from his mouth after the “work” they did. On top of them stating the work would be 2k, and DAY OF APPOINTMENT- they asked me for over 5k.

They love the fun decorations, the giant stuffed animals hanging in the reception area, the sunglasses, picking out their toothpaste flavor (there are many choices), the TV, Dr. J saying "hi princess," the awesome prizes from the toy chest and of course the no cavity club picture at the end of the visit and the fun props you can use. You not only leave with a fresh, clean smile, but you also leave with a happy smile, thanks to Dr. Jackson and his staff. You will not be disappointed!

Experiencia negativa: Appointment was at 1:30. We didn't get seen until 2 which is okay. I have a toddler who was having a a bad day. The receptionist (Jennifer i believe) literally covered her face when my child was screaming and acted annoyed the entire time we were in the waiting room or when we had questions. We went back to the room and they brushed her teeth, no examination or anything. I was then informed at 2:15 the dentist had started treatment on another patient so we had to wait again. We waited about 20 minutes and my toddler couldn't do it any longer. When we went to the front I then politely asked for a refund except for what had been done (teeth brushed) "Jennifer" then acted as if I was trying to scam them and lie about what had been done and when the lady who brushed my daughters teeth came to explain she said "oh because they didn't want to wait" she then kept messing up the refund amount to the point the other receptionist had to help her. Very unprofessional and not understanding at all. Only 2 stars because of the other receptionist who's name I did not catch, she was very kind and helpful. Also no hate to the actual dentist his work could have been amazing but we unfortunately did not get the opportunity.

I've taken both of my kids here, they've both had caps, and one now has braces. They are always responsive when I have questions and quick when we need to get in for whatever reasons. Experiencia negativa: Dealing with this office was a nightmare. Everything was OK until we had to move and asked for our daughter's records to be sent to our new orthodontist. Whitney is a self centered person who is a freak control. She didn't send the records, she lied about it, she didn't follow up to see if everything went well. And on top of everything they went on a vacation without finding a substitute for her, or give access to any of their employees. I had to wait for her to come back and she still didn't do her job. It costed me 2 months of delays for my daughter treatment. She is so unprofessional and they seriously need somebody else to run their business. I WILL NEVER recommend dealing with these people.

Dr. Cockley is great with my 4, 7, and 8 year old! He thoroughly explains everything, the ladies are great with my boys! I get to go back with my boys during cleanings and even procedures and that makes my anxious momma heart and my boys nerves much better!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Best dentist by far! We have lived in 4 different stated and we love them! Never came in contact with anyone that wasn’t nice. Everyone there is professional and helpful. My kids love how patient and gentle they are and love the prizes! They work with kids that have adhd my son has trouble sitting still they have the patience to work on his mouth love this place my son love it going here
