Experiencia negativa: I do NOT recommend & regret coming back to this office after Dr Pete Nathe retired. I was a patient for about a year after his retirement & got unnecessary work from “dr patricia”. I had a page of quoted dental work needed from her and as I was about to finish the work she did a “yearly exam” that took two pages worth of work so I got a second opinion somewhere else and debunked both pages of work quoted. Thankfully I found a trustworthy office elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: Worst dental experience for daughter and husband. Both told they had gum disease. Went for second opinions and no gum disease for either. At appointment husband told he could not continue to have dental care there unless gum scaling was done. When asked why it appeared suddenly with no concerns six months prior, they had no response. Also asked if gum scaling would correct problem and he was told no, once gum treatment started it would need to be done at a yearly minimum. Very disappointed in a dental facility that finds it necessary to lie to make money. Actually would be 0 starts if possible to do so on this post.

They found issues others couldn't, have solved my failmilies tooth troubles at a fair price, with little pain or time. And to top it off, they accept care credit! Must recommend, this is the way to go for your kids/family!

Experiencia negativa: One of the worst dental clinics I have been too. Charged me $600 to look in my mouth and not help me. Wanted to refer me out and not give me any options. I do not understand why they are charging me $200 after my insurance covered the cost. Do not go there if you want a dentist that you actually talk to you and not look down on you. Read what your dental records states after you leave her office. I seemed like she was only there to collect a paycheck and not care about her patients.

Experiencia negativa: I love the entire staff of Yakima Smiles from Penny in the front to my hygienist, Becky. I got to meet Dr. Nathe's replacement, Dr Serwan, and I look forward to being under his care and wish Dr. Nathe congratulations on his retirement! I am now updating this review as it has been a year under the new management. I am in process as finding new dentist as not 1, not 2, but now 3 fillings have fallen out in the matter of 4 months. All excited to do all my fillings but the quality sucks. Run away run away.

Experiencia negativa: false billing practices and sending them to collections when their are no balances owed in the process of suing the collection agency they referred it to 2 times i have turned the collection agency they used into bbb and attorney general offices they were a good dentist office intill they changed over obviously they don't know how to do their jobs truthfully with trying to overcharge and put in the wrong persons name

Experiencia negativa: Hello everyone, I had a deep cleaning done yesterday at this dental office.. Worst service ever the front desk lady Lupe never explained to me that I was only going half of my teeth cleaned! I got charged $490 just to get half of my teeth cleaned and was told I would need to come back another day to get the other half done but wait it get worse I need to pay another $490 to get the other half cleaned! $980 just for a deep cleaning this is Ridiculous! Would not recommend this dental clinic to anyone!!

Experiencia negativa: Worst dentist office in the valley now! Ever since Dr. Nathe retired, it has gone to crap. From the dentist they've hired to the front desk. They literally tried to make me pay more than double what was required. Last appointment, the dental assistant almost allowed the dentist to start work on me before I realized the patients info on computer was not mine! OMG! They almost started bridge work instead of a simple filling. Run!!!! Dr. Nathe, I wish you the best in retirement! Truly do! You deserve it! Just know, your patients will miss you and are grateful for all you have done for us over the years. I will say, the hygienist they have on staff are always awesome.....that is it! These people now.....just run!!!

Experiencia negativa: I should have done it sooner. Since Dr. Nathe retired and his crew left the patient care is nowhere near the same. It is always dark when I come in. I'm not greeted by name. When I call I am placed on hold for 10 minutes. Inexcusable! I am going somewhere else!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Garcia is absolutely amazing! I have PTSD, so sitting in a dentist chair for a long period of time and all the noises, gives me high anxiety. Dr.Garcia went over all my options to make me feel comfortable replacing my temporary crowns. She informed me that she does not do full sedation (my preference) but she felt the nitrous gas would help relax me. She assured me that I was in control and if I felt uncomfortable with my anxiety, that she would make sure she would refer me out to a dentist who does sedation. Well, this morning went so well! The nitrous gas helped calm my nerves and she put the crowns on in less than 45 minutes! I would recommend Dr.Garcia to anyone who is a little apprehensive of a dentist office! She is so kind and is very good at what she does!

Experiencia negativa: The demise of this clinic is really quite upsetting. Dr. Nathe and his team did a remarkable job of treating myself and my family for over 15 years. It is sad to see the new ownership completely disregard the level of professionalism and care that had been established. I made the decision to transfer care after several mishaps and rude treatment.

Experiencia negativa: My family loved Yakima smiles for years. Dr.Nathe and his staff took such great care of my family. We were sad when he retired but thought we could continue care here. We were sadly mistaken. This is in no way the Yakima Smiles that Dr. Nathe created. The company that purchased the clinic hired a dentist who was incompetent. He was rude and short to the patients, he had no clue what he was doing and I could hear him apologizing to patients for mistakes in their care plans. He was also awful to the staff in the interactions I witnessed. I think most of the staff has left now. I sure wish I could find Becky!! Do not take your kids or family to this clinic if you are hoping for excellent care and service. It pains me to have to write this but it truly is not the same clinic! They might try to make it seem like it is the same service etc that Dr. Nathe provided, but trust me it is not! And if you are still going there you need to leave!!

Experiencia negativa: Service has dropped off terribly with new change in staff. I received multiple reminders for my appointments as soon as 30 minutes before, then got a call 20 minutes before appointment saying the multiple booked and could I come in later. We are looking for a new dentist now. New corporate ownership is not putting any focus on customer service and quality of work.

Experiencia negativa: Scheduled an appointment through the website for some dental pain as an existing patient and received a confirmation through email. When I came to my appointment, they said they had no record of the appointment and seemed indignant regarding their website allowing appointments when it should not. If you are looking for a reliable dentist, look elsewhere. If they cannot even manage their own website and only respond with indignation and rudeness when shown a mistake, how can they truly be trusted when it comes to dental work?

Experiencia negativa: Family member Had 5 teeth pulled and they gave no prescription for pain. when we finally got to talk to someone he gave all sorts of excuses why he couldn't today but tomorrow he could. A lot of good that does for the patient who will suffer all night.

They take time to get to know you-patients are greeted by name and a big smile as they enter by Every receptionist and your hygienist will pick up convos where they were left off and I’ve received great educational advice and instruction when I need it. Dr Nathe is gentle and considerate while remaining efficient and professional. He’s a perfectionist too-I had a crown not fit quite right and he didn’t try n jury rig it. He kindly insisted on sending it back so I wouldn’t have any continuing issues with it. Yakima Smiles and it’s staff will always be my dental office of choice!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I've had terrible luck finding a dentist since I moved here from Oregon during the lockdown. I'm fussy about my teeth and I like to take good care of them. I've experienced my appointment being cancelled the day of for no discernible reason after waiting weeks to get one. Another office deceived me about the service I would be receiving AFTER I arrived for my appointment (that I had to take time off of work to attend) after waiting weeks to get it. Another office had a VERY LOUD technician who interrupted me when I tried to tell her why I was there and told me and everyone in the outer office what was wrong with my teeth before exam or x-ray and I'm not paying for a technician to diagnose me anyway (I took off my bib and left). Dr. Nathe's office is completely different. The front-office girls greet me by name as I walk in and seem genuinely pleased to see me. The waiting area is clean, airy and cool and segmented so the clients don't have to sit around and stare at each other. The waiting time is always short and the technicians who come out to get me have soft, pleasant voices. Everyone wears crisp, white buttoned-up dentist jackets and nice slacks and the girls have their hair tied back which I, as an old lady, appreciate very much. (Also, no one is smacking gum or wearing sweatpants or has visible tattoos or piercings). Dr. Nathe is very competent and thorough and didn't chit-chat me to death during his examination. I received a cleaning at that very same appointment which thrilled me to the moon as I hadn't had one since the pandemic started and I didn't have to wait for an appointment for one for weeks later. The insurance coordinator explained the insurance/billing process for the procedure Dr. Nathe wanted me to have (periodontal scaling) in a pleasant understated way, behind the front desk, in a chair sitting next to me. My next two appointments (the scaling procedure) followed in the exact same ways. My hygienist, Rebecca, has a quiet manner and was pleasant, soft-spoken and accommodating. The scaling was a breeze and I had no issues afterwards. She kept pausing without me having to ask so I could scratch my nose, which never itches until I am having my teeth worked on. And the whole office is very, very clean. No dust, (even on the window blinds) no clutter, no tiny paper scraps on the floor or dirt in the corners. I was very impressed and pleased with the professional way I was treated and I will definitely keep going back.
