They built an amazing team, the assistants and front office house staff, everybody is fabulous. This place is owned by a brother and sister, And they took awesome care of me. I haven’t had straight teeth or “Conventionally pretty” teeth Since I got a really bad chip in the front when I was 11. I’m happy to say after almost 15 years, I’m really excited to go out and smile! I almost have to mention the amazing support, I also have the worlds worst anxiety paired with a deathly fear of needles, and they made sure that I didn’t feel or even know anything was going on before it was over! Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to Oregon City Smiles Dental for about two years now. I moved and needed a new dentist. Dr. Ji is my primary dentist, and I've seen Dr. Sung a few times. They are both outstanding. After covid I needed a lot of work done. I had a bridge fail. They've done three or four fillings for me, three or four crowns, and one implant. Dr. Ji is extremely knowledgeable, and will take extra time to explain things to you. And he's sincere, and he doesn't get impatient with you. Their staff is very professional and polite. I really appreciate these guys. They've earned five stars from me.

November 2024 went in for scheduled cleaning and fillings. Diane and Dr. Seng both made it a painless visit. Thank you both! July 2023, I had an emergency and staff had me in within 4 hrs. Dr Seng did excellent work and pain went away. Thank you! Went in for quarterly cleaning and check up and it was successful. Diane does a great job explaining what she does as a hygienist, and why it's important and then explains what I need to do and why. Then Dr Seng looks over it all and follows up on outstanding issues I have and may have in the future! I am glad these talented professionals take care of my dental needs! Thank you ladies! And thanks to the receptionist staff for your pleasant efficiency. Dr. Sung today installed the permanent bridge after having removed the old work some time back. The fit was perfect. She does very good work once again. I told her today "I am glad you're my dentist". Went back in recently for cleaning. Diane is just special at what she does, thank you.

Experiencia negativa: This place is horrible! I had a root canal done to save a tooth. They did a CT scan after the root canal and had to pull the tooth. Why didn’t they do the CT scan first….because they wanted to charge for the root canal AND the pulling of my tooth. They tried selling me on all kinds of work before this and I’m glad I didn’t except. Diane, or Deloris, or whatever her name is, downright hurt me during my cleaning because she wasn’t happy about my displeasure with the guy who pulled my tooth, but I was already in the chair. Payed for nitrous, which you would think would be free as a sorry about the tooth that had to be pulled after they screwed that up, and they barely gassed me at all. Now they’re saying I owe them money when my bill was paid in full a couple of years ago. This place is absolute trash and should be shut down immediately!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I am pretty nervous about epinephrine use. But they allowed me to sit up and take a break when my heart was fast. He is a true professional and does such a good job. Very busy clinic.

Experiencia negativa: This clinic did very thorough work, perhaps even recommending more than I needed. However, their receptionists are downright rude if you have any issues to work through with the clinic. Over a year and a half ago I was told I could no longer make any appointments with the clinic because I had missed two appointments (canceled Day of or within 24 hours--i get it, that's my fault) and that if I wanted to see anyone at their clinic I could call day-of to try and get in (Super impractical for any heavy dental work like I needed). Prior to that, I had undergone a ton of dental work there! Filings, descaling, etc. The receptionists were very rude when telling me this, but since it was my fault for canceling last minute, I accepted it and just didn't go back. A month ago (over a year and a half later) I get a bill for $100 for two missed appointments! This was never communicated to me when we spoke about the appointments and my ability to make appointments was revoked, and they never sent a bill for this. They also aren't able to show me any signed paperwork verifying that this was their policy at the time. I called them to dispute the bill and the primary receptionist was very rude about it and told me they would take me to collections. Eventually I asked to speak to their manager and the conversation was a lot smoother and bill was reset to zero. Going to the dentist is hard enough for me, and obviously I'm not the right person for this clinic. But if you do have any issues, I would go right to the office manager because the receptionists are not helpful or kind.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a horrible fall that ended with my front tooth breaking in half, of course I was mortified of having a missing front tooth, and it was also very painful, so I called almost every dentist in town trying to find someone who could help quickly. Every place I called couldn't fit me in their schedule or had over a month wait, until I called Oregon City Smiles. They were extremely empathetic to my situation and got me in that day! I got my temporary crown on about an hour after my initial appointment and I can't begin to say how much I appreciated that they fit me in their busy schedule. Not only that but Dr. Ji was so kind and highly skilled at his job. I am usually extremely nervous at the dentist but him and his team did an amazing job making me feel comfortable, and the crown he did looks SO natural! My friend didn't even believe my tooth broke off because it looks so good! I highly recommend Oregon City Smiles Dental to anyone who is nervous about the dentist, or just looking for a new dental office that truly cares about their patients. I really can't thank them enough!

The receptionists (Maria and the others) have communicated about appointment times, are kind and good at scheduling and they really have worked with my scheduling issues. I truly appreciate them for their hard work. All of the staff are really good at what they do. With how messed up my mouth is, they’ve really been good at not just fixing and putting a bandaid on my mouth, but doing their best to make sure I know just why I should be taking better care of myself. Thank you all for how amazing you guys have been and I don’t plan on switching dentists anytime soon.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve had extensive dental work done at this office, including an implant placement, and while I hate going to the dentist, I’ve really appreciated Dr. Ji and his staff. Dr Ji knows his stuff and his expertise has saved several of my teeth. ALSO my insurance is no longer accepted there but I continue to go back for certain procedures because his out of pocket costs are generally lower than most places and it’s worth going to a dentist you can trust. Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently decided it was time to catch up on my dental care. I chose "Oregon City Smiles" because they were listed as an authorized dentist under my insurance plan. Having been quite a while since my last dental work, I was not surprised at the extent of work I needed. When told the first step was to have a "peridontal scaling and root planing", I'm sure my blood pressure went through the roof. I had never had that procedure, but had heard how painful it was from others that had. Even Dr Ji made it sound a bit scary, but I was not backing out. I had made up my mind that I had prolonged my dental care long enough. The dental hygenist, Juliana, did an excellent job. She took her time, numbing the area first, and although it was not entirely painless, there was very little discomfort. Way to go Juliana! Everyone I have met so far has been very kind and patient. I would highly recommend "Oregon City Smiles".

Experiencia negativa: I came to Dr ji as a new patient and he recommended a crown. I allowed him to do the crown and have had nothing but problems ever since. There is a visible gap between the crown and my gumline and I spent the last 7 months trying to convince him the crown didn't fit right and instead of listening to me when I told him the day it was fitted he just insisted it was normal. I still have a gap which causes me pain from plaque buildup and he basically just defends himself the entire time instead of redoing the crown and working with the lab on corrections. I now have to try and get another dentist to fix this because he believes he has done everything correctly even though my current x ray looks nothing like my old one and the tooth is visibly short let and misshaped. This has been the worst dental experience of my life.

Experiencia negativa: Worst dentist office ever! At first it seemed fine. Except the man dentist who I saw all of 5 minutes he was triple booked and I had the initial consultation so he just dismissed me saying we can get to your cracked and broken teeth after the hygienist does deep debridement Never once did he give me a thorough exam, and explain any plans to fix anything. Then the hygienist did debridement. I had barely scraped by paying for it as my husband suffered a major medical emergency (4 in a row to be exact) and was not working. My priority's should have been theirs! I mean I had a couple broken teeth but one specifically was fractured and needed to be addressed before I had to have it pulled. After draining me if every penny I went back for so called free follow ups which always cost me more money. Then the day the scheduled me for a root canal my husband started chemotherapy so I had a specific time that I was available, I planned accordingly and even called 2 times to verify time and this woman called me the day of insulting me, and basically yelling at me for not showing up. She was on speaker phone and all of my husbands fellow chemotherapy patients heard. She claimed the appointment was at a different time and it wasn’t. I told her sorry but I was busy with my husband an hour away so she hung up never to be heard from again. Well until I got a no show bill months later. Months! Well, now months later due to this office and their negligence, I am sitting here with a broken tooth on Christmas! The one they should have fixed urgently. No way to use my dental benefits because they maxed my benefits, never once did I get my free cleaning, free X rays thru my insurance, EVERYTHING cost me. Negligence is what this office is good at! They let my mouth get really bad by ignoring the important things to me. All they wanted was money, with no sense of urgency on their part or finished initial consultation visit from any dentist there. Don’t trust them. Double check all billings if you get them, l with your insurance and make a point to advocate for yourself as they won’t. They are just after $ that struggling people don’t have.

Experiencia fantástica: Very friendly staff! I had not been to the dentist in several years, but I felt right at home here. Paulina was great company while I had all my x-rays taken. Ashley and Dr. Ji were both very informative and comforting. I look forward to receiving dental care from them in the future.

Experiencia fantástica: I came in on an emergency tooth situation. I was leaving on a cruise for my 34th anniversary. Three days prior to my cruise my tooth started hurting. I called Oregon City smiles and I saw Dr Ji the next day. He was wonderful. Very caring, kind and compassionate. He said his goal was to get me out of pain for my cruise. Dr Ji performed a root canal and my tooth feels great. He will be my permanent dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: 10000% Recommend. Modern technology, great service, and the best part - quality work. I was having tooth pain a month ago and found this place due to their high # of reviews. Dr.Ji and his Dental Assistant were very kind and patient with me, despite me having a big fear of the dental needles. The filling was beautiful and sparkled compared to my other fillings. I also found out I needed a Crown, and Dr.Ji was very nice on educating me around why I needed the crown, allowing me to make an informed decision. My favorite part was walking in on my 2nd appointment to the same staff as my previous appointment. I felt comfortable and more relaxed seeing the same faces of the staff I saw last time. The Dental Assistant and Front Desk were also very kind, prompt, and social. I can tell they all work together well. This clinic is magnitudes better than my previous dentist, so I left and am now getting all my dental work done here!
