Experiencia negativa: My experience with Eastern Dental was not good and I am very unhappy with the outcome. The dentist made a mistake and after multiple appointments and much confusion the error was identified. Unfortunately the expense is now doubled and complicated due to the error of which they offered no acknowledgment or compensation.

Experiencia fantástica: My children and I have been coming here for years, and I can honestly say we’ve always had a wonderful experience. The staff are consistently friendly, welcoming, and professional. The space is always clean and well-maintained, which makes every visit comfortable. The team’s positive attitude and warm smiles truly make a difference and are a big part of why we keep coming back. I have nothing but great things to say.

Experiencia negativa: I recently had a crown replaced at this office and the experience was extremely concerning. The temporary crown that was placed was so thin that it cracked in half and fell out the next day. My appointment for the permanent crown was scheduled about three weeks later. When I returned for the permanent crown, the fitting process took almost three hours. During that time the crown was repeatedly placed in the wrong orientation, which made it impossible for it to seat properly. Eventually the dentist realized the crown needed to be flipped. Before that point, however, she stated that my gums would need to be cut back in order for the crown to fit and proceeded to remove some gum tissue after administering local anesthetic. The crown was also repeatedly shaved down while the dentist attempted to make it fit. The entire experience was uncomfortable and stressful, and it left me questioning the quality of the work being done. Separately, I also received a cleaning during the visit that lasted approximately six minutes and included a $29 fluoride charge. I will not be returning to this office and would strongly encourage others to do their research before scheduling treatment here.

The Dental Hygienist was a smooth professional, handled the cleaning with light pressure in such a way that it doesnt hurt your mouth, gums, and teeth!! The Doctor who checked my teeth for any cavity or issues was great!!

I didn’t feel rushed or anything. The practice also looked very organized and clean which is a huge plus! 10/10 would recommend! Very happy with my visit :)

I was seen right away, and the dentist, Dr. Hamada(spelling?) was very informative and professional. She explained the problem with my tooth and how she was going to fix it. I had a wonderful experience at this office.

Experiencia positiva: Only thing is booking my next appointment, never can I book my next appointment..... frustrating. You are aware that a patient comes every 6 months if no cavities or issues and I can never book it. Always told to call in a few months. Frustrating !!!!

I trust and appreciate my Dr Mada %. Staff is amazing and professional. Can't say enough !!!!!

Experiencia negativa: My 89-year-old mother had a very upsetting experience at Eastern Dental in Manahawken, NJ. She went in for a routine cleaning and declined X-rays. She clearly offered to sign a waiver acknowledging her refusal, yet she was still denied a cleaning. That alone was disappointing. What was unacceptable is that during this interaction, a provider or staff member made a demeaning and inappropriate comment toward her. No patient — especially an elderly patient — should ever be spoken to disrespectfully while seeking care. Patients have the right to informed refusal, and basic professionalism and compassion should be the minimum standard. Because of this experience, my mother will not be returning, and a formal complaint has been filed. I would strongly caution others, particularly families bringing elderly parents, to consider this before booking an appointment here.

Experiencia negativa: Eastern Dental does not know how to keep track of the scheduled appointments. Scheduling is horrible. The front desk girl try to accommodate their mistakes, even after making a patient wait 2 hours to be seen because they didn't know their patients times. This is completely unacceptable especially when the waiting room is completely empty.

Experiencia fantástica: It was my first time to Eastern Dental in Manahawkin. The staff was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Immediately they made me feel relaxed and concerned for my care. I was evaluated by Dr Kahn and she explained my options, as well as gave her recommendations. Dr Kahn was extremely kind and patient. She listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this wonderful dental office!

Experiencia negativa: Literally so bad and unprofessional. They literally had my birthday messed up and didn’t reliaze after several appointments. The only reason I kept going back is because we paid in full upfront all the work I needed. Btw my mouth still hurts from my root canal months later. Also my sister had a cavity filled the other day and the dentist was literally about to drill on the wrong side of her mouth and when my sister said something, they proceeded to argue with her and say it was the other side when it wasn’t. So unprofessional and careless. Don’t come here

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely awful. Under staffed and impersonal. I literally walked out with my child and canceled the appointment for my other. They said they had staff "call out." Then you reschedule the patients assigned to that hygienist. You don't shove patients in just to get some insurance money. And the teeth cleaning was rushed and painful for my daughter. It was basically an electric toothbrush.

Experiencia negativa: If I could rate them lower I would. After going here for about 20 years, I finally had it with the poor scheduling and called another dentist. When I got my exam they found 11 cavities and 1 so bad it needed a root canal shortly after. Every time I went to Eastern Dental they would tell me no cavities!!!! Either they're actually terrible at their job, or they were intentionally waiting for them to need a root canal so they make more money. Either way, that's not somewhere I want to do business. Go to DAG or Shore Dental. Both MUCH better practices.

Experiencia negativa: Yes, I'll share with you. I went there at three or 3:56 on September 4. I had to put in my book when I was there three weeks prior when she gave me the appointment time it was September 4 at 4 o'clock. I got there today at three or four minutes before 4 o'clock, which I was informed that I had an appointment at 3 o'clock I told him no I did not. I put it in my book the minute you gave it to me three weeks prior she said on August 21 they sent me a confirmation And I knew I had the doctors appointment the dentist appointment so when they said this is eastern DENTAL we want to know if you want to confirm I just hit Sea. They're telling me it was 3 o'clock. They must've made a mistake and then tried putting it at 3 o'clock. I didn't see no 3 o'clock at that Confirmation thing I just seen that it was from them. I knew I had to go and I had Sea for confirm when I got there today. They told me That they would have to reschedule me and I said yes that's fine. I said but this is your fault not mine. They also said something about me not showing up. I'm like no this is not what happened I did show up. You are the ones that made the mistake so when I got ready to walk out the door, I also said to. I heard them talking about me and before I walked out I stopped and turned, and I said you can talk all you want, but I didn't make the mistake you did so as far as I'm concerned I think your place is a lying conniving and I don't like what I seen and even the dentist that did work on me before which I got charged for I still can't touch the bottom of my tooth and feel the nerve so she didn't even do it right to begin with then on top of that I have to go back for two other teeth in September so no, I'm not happy. I'm not happy camper with your company right now because they lied if I could give you a zero that's what I would give you I could give you a -0 that's what I would give you.

I always enjoy my cleaning and my hygienist was very thorough and did and great job cleaning my teeth. My only complaint is the additional time (15-20 minutes) I have to wait past my appointment time to get called back.

Experiencia negativa: I had to wait two and a half hours to get my wisdom teeth out. It’s not right to have patients sit there for that long. All you do is get anxious and more nervous. The assistant Sandy and oral surgeon were very kind though. And did a great job!! Only complaint was the 2 and a half hour wait time.

Experiencia negativa: The front office staff is very nice. My cleaning was about 15 minutes. My exam was 5 minutes. I was in the waiting room longer. Not sure how thorough it was. Will be looking for another dentist.

SHE LITERALLY TOLD ME I HAVE TO CALL MY INSURANCE COMPANY & FIGHT WITH THEM BECAUSE WHEN SHE SPOKE TO THEM THEY SAID EVERYTHING WAS COVERED WITH WHAT WAS PLANNED TO BE DONE TO MY TEETH THAT DAY, I ALSO HEARD HER TELL THE RECEPTIONIST EVERYTHING WAS COVERED 100%!! NOW EASTERN DENTAL IS SENDING ME BILLS & TEXTS ALL THE TIME! LISA SAID I HAVE TO CALL MY INSURANCE TO GET THEM TO PAY THE OVER $200 THAT NOW I'M GETTING BILLED! I HAVE TO FIGHT WITH THEM NOW I WAS TOLD!! I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING FROM ANY DOCTORS OFFICES IN MY LIFE!! HERE I HAD MENTIONED THEIR NAME TO A FEW OF MY FRIENDS & GOT HORROR STORIES!! OVER BILLING, SHODDY WORK, APPOINTMENTS BEING SKIPPED OVER BECAUSE THEY ARE LATE FROM BEING OVERBOOKED... UNBELIEVABLE!! *TRY TO FIND ANY OTHER DENTIST IN THIS AREA THAT TAKES YOUR INSURANCE, DON'T GAMBLE WITH THEM!!!*

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed I called for an emergency appointment for my Granddaughter for severe pain had to wait 5 days get her in to be told it was a cleaning appointment & told I didn’t take the call & no one can do a filling that was done less then 6 mos ago & fell out but will see her in a month to assess the problem, in meantime take Tylenol & ibuprofen every 4 hours it helps with dental pain.

Experiencia negativa: Had a 9:30am cleaning scheduled. Showed up at 9:20. No one else in waiting room. Paid out of pocket for my service. Everyone else who came after me was called but me. At 9:50am I asked for my money back because I had to leave mo later than 10:15am to be to work on time. I was issued a refund, but it was a big pain for me. I had my 7 y old grandaughter with me and missed some important things at work that morning for nothing.

Experiencia fantástica: Visit for crown on back upper molar. Dr /DDS Mana pays attention to concerns and details. Her caps and crowns work is with the upper echelon! Please note..... all the Eastern Dental offices are not even close to being the same. This review is for the Manahawkin facility only, I travel 25 miles from home to this facility. Its clean and well managed. I've been to 3 of thier offices. And this one in particular stands above the rest. Qoute, unqoute!

Experiencia fantástica: Had a urgent dental emergency involving my left side of my face swollen. Eastern Dental took me in quickly, took x-rays, prescribed an antibiotic, and scheduled a procedure. Dr. Mada, Danielle the Dental Assistant, and the receptionist were wonderful! My first time at this office.
