Experiencia negativa: Absolutely will not be back. I spent an hour in a room with my 2 year old waiting for him to be seen. Staff actually walked in to the room and didn’t even acknowledge we were there. When someone finally asked what we were waiting on and I had to tell them we had been waiting an hour for him to be seen there was no sense of urgency and I was told they didn’t know how long it would be. My older 2 children were finished and in the room with us. Nobody told me anything about their visits, I only know because their charts were left on the desk and I read them. We will be finding another dentist.

Experiencia negativa: Always being rescheduled. We drive 45 mins there because we try to use peach care. At this point um willing to pay out of pocket to see a dentist who keeps appointments for families who schedule time to be there. This group is so disrespectful of families time.

Experiencia negativa: We waited over three months to get my granddaughter her first dental appointment. When she got there, it was extremely chaotic kids running around and screaming no private rooms unless you request it and she has a sensory and anxiety disorder and the dentist wouldn’t even give her the time of day saying I don’t have time for this. I have too many other kids you’re gonna have to leave. What kind of dentist is this! Very inconsiderate! On top of the horrible experience, she got sick after she left the office. I wonder why with all the kids running around screaming and then Office that’s open with kids getting exams Right next to each other. Absolutely terrifying and stressful!

Experiencia negativa: If your time is valuable don't go here, (Valdosta Dental Associates) or any other Dentist office that doesn't display the name of the Dentist on there web site or whose staff has to call you for your next appointment after you've had your insurance checked, consultation, and Xray, as opposed to giving you an appointment before leaving the office. It seems like a cash grab. Initial consultation, then wait in pain... A one tooth emergency extraction 3 and a half week wait after Initial consutation and Xrays, no scripor or recommendations, and then wants to pull 3. Do your self a favor IF YOU CAN get your Dental work done where there are enough Dentist and competition for services. A lager city. In the future I'll be going to Tallahassee, or Jacksonville for a family Dentist and Doctor. It will be a good get away, a couple times a year. Do some shopping or have a meal. GET SOME SERVICE!!!

Experiencia negativa: They don't allow you to go back with your children. Don't ever allow a dentist or doctor to get away with this, as children can not advocate for themselves. Travel outside of Valdosta to find another medicaid provider. Do whatever you can to stay away from places like this!

Experiencia negativa: This office has no communication. They never answer their phone, and it’s almost impossible to get in touch with anyone. I waited two months for my daughter’s IV extraction appointment, only for us to arrive and be told she was scheduled for a cleaning instead. This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable.

Experiencia negativa: I had an appointment for November 13th for my son at 3 pm! When I got there they were closed. I took off work & drove an hour away because we stay in ocilla. This was the only place that said they accepted Medicaid so that’s the reason we traveled down here. We got there dead at 3 and saw the sign , but I thought that couldn’t be right because I RECEIVED NO CALL, OR EMAIL!! So I drove to the other Valdosta Dental Associates, and they told me they their office doesn’t see kids , and that the other one that I went to closed at 10 that morning because of plumbing issues. I work in Tifton Ga, so I had to make arrangements to take off of work at 1, instead of my regular time. I got off at 1, drove all the way to Ocilla to pick my child up from school. Then I drove an hour away to Valdosta, and get there and they are closed. If they had to close at 10 AM , they should have called me and let me know right away, because for one I could have stayed at work , and not of had to do all of that driving . They didn’t send an email or text, or phone call about they were going to be closing early.

THEY cancelled my granddaughters visit over 2 weeks ago and promised to call within 2 weeks and reschedule.Nope!!! Then when I call today to cancel an appt.for other grandchild, they hang up on me MID SENTENCE!!!!!

But the staff was absolutely amazing, they did such a great job with walking him through each step and just being kind and patient! Special thanks to Ms. Kendall! Experiencia negativa: I’ve been calling around looking for dental care whom takes pregnancy Medicaid as it is now required to get a cleaning during your pregnancy. Not sure who I spoke with, but before I could finish my sentence, I was interrupted and asked my age. I responded with my age and got the response “we only take patients 21 and under, bye.” If I was aware of that, I wouldn’t have called so being rude was unnecessary. Especially after calling around to almost every dentist around and being recommended to call you all. Kindness goes a long way and your employees surely don’t know what that means.

Experiencia negativa: They are inconsistent with what they say and do. Waited 6 months for appointment to be referred 2 hours away and was told it was for one thing but its for something different. Then was told i was referred for one reason then another staff member told me it was for something completely different and I wouldn't be seen for up to 8 months. I can never get a legit answer as to what's going on its always someone else's fault or mistake and pretty much left to just wait because of their mistakes.

Experiencia fantástica: Have used VDA for 15 years. Always excellent care. There are some recent negative reviews thay are fabricated. There is a facebook post where people who have never stepped foot in the office are admitting this but leaving negative reviews because of a viral facebook post. Please form your own opinion. These women and men are amazing.

Experiencia negativa: Reception is the first impression you get when you speak to a company, and the reception is rude. They also will dismiss difficult children and have rude, impatient hygienists that clearly need a different line of work.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give zero stars I would. My children (3&5) had their first appt today. My 5 year old suffers from epilepsy and ODD. She’s on several medications that are known to make you irritable. I told the hygentist this when she started to work on her. My daughter did great for the cleaning but when she started to floss her teeth, my little girl shut down and said “no” and wouldn’t open her mouth. The hygentist slammed her tool down and said “we aren’t going to be able to treat her acting like this. You’ve got 6m to get her comfortable with us before her next visit or they will send you somewhere else”. Then she looks at my little girl and says “if I had told my mama no she would have spanked me”. With my daughter and how she responds to disciple- spankings don’t work- although that’s none of her business. When the dentist came in she said, “that one over there won’t let me floss her teeth”. I will never come back. If you don’t know how to work with children- especially special needs kids- then find somewhere else to work!

Experiencia fantástica: I love them they actually take time to listen my son had a bad dental experience as a child of being held down by a dentist assistant while have a cavity filled because well my son is slightly autistic but when I brought him to Valdosta dental associates they listened and learn quickly how to respond with my son and now he loves it and the staff is very nice and attentive I would recommend this and I drive 45-1 hr every visit it's worth it

Experiencia negativa: I've been using VDA for my kids since they were 3. I never had any issues but lately the professionalism has went down and they literally NEVER answer the phone. I needed dental records for my daughter and I don't have transportation so I was trying to call to request it rather than struggling to get a way there just for them to tell me they'll have it ready the next day.

My son was in urgent need of a procedure, and we were told we would have to wait a month, we’ve been waiting FOUR MONTHS! Every time we called for an update, we were met with the worst excuses imaginable. It felt like they were just brushing us off rather than addressing our concerns. To make matters worse, when we decided to switch to a new dentist, they outright refused to send his dental records. This lack of professionalism and care for their patients is unacceptable. If you're considering this dental clinic for your family, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. Don’t waste your time here; there are far better options that actually prioritize patient care.

Experiencia positiva: I wasn't getting good vibes I wasn't feeling it I wasn't comfortable the Doctor or nurse that seen my daughter when it was time for us to check out she could've had a better attitude I was getting that bad attitude from her I didn't like. I'm having second thought about bringing my daughter back to her next appointment next year.

Experiencia negativa: Every time we go here there's some sort of issue. Our last experience was the worst. Someone let their bad ass lil kid go back there by themselves, and he repeatedly hit my son. My son told him to stop because it hurt. The boy then proceeded to hit my son again harder, so I got up looking for his parents bc the folks that work there were busy. The workers, doing nothing in the front, told me they haven't heard anything about it while I was telling them. Like I was lying. Telling me there's a dentist back there. How the hell is a dentist supposed to babysit and do their job?? Then they rushed us out without giving me their results. There was a nurse in there that talks to kids like they're a dog. Like they're not little humans that deserve respect. Smh. We just got a letter saying my kids have been banned because of it, when they did nothing wrong. Tell me how that makes sense. Children under 10 should be accompanied by an adult anyway. I should have just called 911. Next time something like this happens, that's definitely what I will be doing. Since we can't handle these situations in a fair way.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking my kids to Valdosta Dental Assoc. for over 7 years and they are absolutely wonderful!! From the staff up front to any of the dentist in their office, I would give a 5☆ rating!! I highly recommend either office!

Experiencia negativa: Bad service. They always make my gums bleed and blame me, saying that i dont floss. I floss and brush every day. The dentists are rude and they always manage to cut my gums. They are always talking and not doing their jobs. Not coming back!!

Experiencia negativa: So unprofessional…they have very rude receptionist…puts me on hold as I’m speaking to them on the phone… didn’t even let me know they were going to be closed keep in mind I have to drive an hour away… never calls to confirm appointments.. And they don’t let parents go to the back with them..? She’s 3 years old! I would understand a teenager..I like to see what all they doing to my kid and me be the one to speak to the dentist directly… Nope I definitely wouldn’t recommend them… this place used to be where I would go as a kid and my parents never had an issue…but unfortunately it’s changed over the years.

Experiencia negativa: We have used this dental practice since 2018 for our children. We recently visited the practice with our 3 children. I was taken to a room for my youngest child and the young lady told my 3 and 6 year old to go color. I was not in agreement with leaving them but she said I needed to go to a room with the youngest. The dentist was just completing an oral review, but barely got the mirror in her mouth and said she’s good. Once completed, the young lady came back to get us and told me we could exit out a specific door which was the exit door to the lobby. I reminded her that I had two other children being seen and wanted to go back with them. She persistently told me I could not go back with them. She said it was against the practices policy. I told her i had concerns about one of my children’s teeth. She said i’ll let the dentist know you want to talk to her. To not cause any issues, I went to the lobby and waited. Once the children finished, I am assuming a hygentist came to the door. She asked what I needed to ask the dentist. She went on to “answer” my questions. I asked where the dentist was and she said already with another patient. We just left. My oldest told me that a little girl was bullying my 3 year old and she told her not too. My girls said they went to the restroom while back there..no one ever come got me to help them. This should not be allowed and I am investigating further, as well as another family that visited the practice the next day and was treated in the same manner with her children.

Experiencia fantástica: I love this place however today we had a bad experience due to one seemingly judgmental associate who didn’t know how to mind her business when I was talking to my daughter. She the calls me later on a tells me “Do you remember when you was fussing at your daughter?” - which is allegedly why the doctor was unable to speak to me. All of it was unnecessary and the next time I come here I will ignore her.

Experiencia negativa: I could write a book of bad reviews of our experiences with this clinic . Lots of shady and probably illegal things happening here . So glad I dropped this place and found a new dentist. Kicking myself for not doing it sooner but if you have Medicaid you know how tough it can be to find an office that accepts it and I think this place gets away with a lot of stuff because of that . If you’re looking for someone who takes Medicaid, Dr howington in Moultrie has a VERY nice and cLean office and allows parents to go back with the kids. They got my son in within a few days. The wait was like 5-10 minutes. The procedure was about 15 minutes. THe dentist is very professional and everything in the building is sanitized and clean . AND His staff is soooo nice and helpful.

Then had to wait 10 mins to get an appointment because the receptionist, who was extremely rude, had to have a personal conversation. As if it was more important than my child's appointment! Horrible receptionist, probably gonna find a new dentist, with respectful receptionist, before I take my children some where they are not a priority.

Experiencia negativa: I see why this place only allows the parents to go back on the first visit. The infection control is terrible. I watch the assistant, put every kid in the same chair to take x-rays without changing the chair cover not only did she not change the chair cover she did not wipe down the digital x-ray sensor after each child nor did she wipe down the x-ray gun. She did change her gloves each child, but in reality that done no good because all she did was re-contaminate her gloves by touching the x-ray gun that she did not wipe down after putting her hands in each child’s mouth and touching the cord that she did not wipe on the digital x-ray sensor after putting it in the kids mouth and touching it again. Also, to add the icing on the cake they left a child unattended for a good 15 minutes and the poor baby was crying. Luckily my nephew did not have to be seen by the dental assistant he was seen by the hygienist, and the hygienist did use proper infection control measures.

Experiencia negativa: I don’t recommend this place at all, they lie to my children every time they are seen. I asked if my child would have any teeth extracted when I got called to remind me of her appt. I was told twice it was only fillings. I get to the office and the dental tech comes out to get my child, she’s in the bathroom. So the tech tells me my child will have two teeth pulled and one filled. I ask her why I was misinformed on the phone, she doesn’t have an answer for me. I tell her to let my child know what’s going to happen and get consent from her before hand. They decided it would be best to fill her tooth and then tell her seconds before that they were pulling two of her teeth. My child previously had no issues or fear with the dentist now she feels violated and that she can no longer trust them.

Experiencia fantástica: We drive an hour from home to this facility and it's worth the trip every time! They make sure an set all three of my kids' appointments for same day/same time. The wait is at a minimum and they get things done in a timely manner. After they're finished they come out and explain in detail what all was done, what to expect and aftercare. I have no complaints at all!

Experiencia negativa: Have a policy where Parents can't go back with kids, no matter how old. Ridiculous. Who in their right mind would send a 5 year old alone? Not in today's day.

Experiencia negativa: They do not let the parents in, it is not known what procedure they are doing at the moment and they do not ask for authorization, they anesthetized my son and they did not say anything besides they mistreated his lip quite a bit

First I took my child in because a cap came off one of his back molars and even though the same dentist 6 months before said it'll be fine, it got infected.. When I made the appointment I explained this . That his gum was swollen, looked to be getting infected. I then explained it all again when they called him in . So after being in the back for over a hour , they bring him out alright here's an excuse for school, we cleaned his teeth he's due back in 6 months . I'm just standing there confused... I say to her He's not here for a cleaning. He's here bc of this giant infection in his mouth . .oh she knows nothing about it. Can I speak to the dentist.,. Dentist put him in a chair and tells me they'll take care of it. No explanation of anything. My child comes out 30 minutes later balling in pain . They took the tooth and he felt everything. No antibiotics for the infection or anything! Awful staff . Awful Dr! .

Experiencia positiva: I have never had an issue with Valdosta Dental Associates until today and I must say I am very disappointed and disgusted. The staff were nice per usual but the Dentist she was very rude and dismissive, my son is special needs and is not fond of the dentist and didn’t bother to attempt to work with him because he was crying which made me feel like my child is not welcome because he is Autistic. Literally will ask for another Dentist next appointment.
