Experiencia negativa: I wish I would have read the reviews before I agreed to spend over $6000 with the office. The whole experience was painful to say the least. During the extraction the Dr and her assistant were busy discussing personal matters completely unrelated to the medical procedure they were doing. After attempting to communicate my extreme pain the assistant said "can you feel that" not sure how a medical professional could miss that the patient is in extreme pain, but she then said "you should have told us you were in pain" . OK, I guess I should learn to speak more clearly when my mouth is packed full of cotton and blood. The whole experience was full of poor communication with no expectations clearly set. I was given a set of poorly fitting dentures complemented by poor customer service. Now I'm sitting in their office for a 9am appointment for my final dentures and was met with a rude receptionist and a long wait. My original appointment was set for 8:30 however after I explained I wasn't interested in getting my teeth cleaned (as I have found a different dental office for that) I am now just interested in getting the dentures I paid for and cutting ties with this office I am now waiting over an hour and 15 minutes for a 9am appointment, 4 people have come and gone in the last hour and 3 people in the waiting room. I strongly recommend you read all the reviews and do your research prior to doing business with Aspen Dental in Massillon. As I am posting this another customer is on the brink of an argument with the receptionist. It seems the conflict stems from billing for services and not clearly explaining the cost of services. Wow buyer beware for sure. I don't have high expectations on the dentures fitting correctly, hopefully another location might be able to help me resolve this and bring some value to the $6000 plus spent. The time is now 10:25 am and I'm still waiting for a 9am appointment with no explanation from staff. I think I'm going to have to dispute the charges to the Care Credit account as that seems to be all they care about at this location is the money. Edit, now after waiting for over an hour and forty five minutes to get fitted for my final dentures, they bring me back in the office and tell me that everyone there is new and there must have been a miscommunication, because the six thousand dollars that I spent initially does not cover the new dentures that are going to be provided to me. As final dentures. This is shady business practice at the very least. I highly recommend you not spend your money with this company

The office manager was personable and understanding of my situation and did not try to corner me into a care plan. A great experience for a corporate location.

Experiencia negativa: I’m very glad I was with my 19-year-old son at his Aspen Dental appointment. What should have been a routine dental visit quickly turned into being presented with a treatment plan carrying a price tag of nearly $7,000. As a young adult, my son would have likely assumed everything being recommended was urgent and necessary and probably would have signed whatever was put in front of him. It was only because I kept asking questions that we learned Aspen Dental was out of network with his insurance and that he had other options, including seeking a second opinion. That information should have been explained upfront, not discovered after repeated questioning. The entire experience felt more like a sales pitch than a healthcare appointment. Instead of helping my son understand his insurance coverage, treatment options, and the ability to get a second opinion, the focus seemed to be on getting him to commit to a costly treatment plan. If I hadn’t been there, my son could have walked out believing he needed $7,000 worth of dental work immediately and that he had no other choice. Young adults deserve transparency, honest explanations, and time to make informed decisions—not pressure to agree to expensive treatment on the spot.

Experiencia negativa: Never again, wasn't greeted when arrived 15mins early like I was told, new patient appointment was at 9...at 940 we left...there is no way Im choosing this place for my family dental needs. It's not work 1 star but cant post without it.

Experiencia negativa: Had six teeth pulled on bottom. Paid cash for the entire procedure and follow ups. Given a temporary lower denture. Came back because the denture was causing mouth pain. Person who supposedly fixed denture cut into the denture creating a U shaped indent with edges not being rounded. Now denture is cutting into my gums even more. On line shows appointments but will not let me schedule and says I have to call the office. When I called the office they say they have no appointments available. I paid almost $6000 cash for this dental work. Not like I'm asking for a new denture just want it fixed so I can eat. By the way I've not eaten any real food since Memorial Day. Don't go here you will be sorry. Next stop Better Business Bureau and an attorney.

So everything had to be reworked including price. Then we have an impression for partial and chime back for teeth to be pulled 1 gets pulled second is broken off in gums and sewn up that way. Partial that we were given does not even fit or stay in place. Now we have a huge bill to pay and my husband's mouth is worse than when we first came in. If I could give a 0 I would. However the only bright side to this office is SPENCE. She is polite, knowledgeable and sincere. She showed us more respect and understanding than anyone else we have dealt with.

Regardless of me getting two teeth taken out, they sure kept me smiling. My treating provider was so good at her job, I was in and out, as soon as I was numb. They made sure I was comfortable and answered all my questions I had. I definitely recommend all your dentist needs to go here. You will definitely not be disappointed.

Experiencia negativa: Worst experience!! I went here for pain and I told them that I had abscess that drained a few times. They took xrays and did the examine. Ignored the fact that I told them once again I had an abscess that drained a few times. Then the dentist said there's two options I can either save the tooth or remove it. Never told me what the issue was or anything. I said remove it because at this point I just wanted the pain gone. He completely ignored me and started working on the tooth. After what seemed like forever(at least 2hrs) he was done. They said pain should be gone and if it isn't call us and we'll call in a prescription for you. I paid then left. After the numbing wore off I was in excruciating pain. The pain was worse than before I went to the dentist. The whole side of my face just hurt so bad. Now maybe this was wrong but no I didn't call them because I didn't want pain killers. They make me sick. I just knew something was wrong. I knew this dentist made a mistake and there was no way I was going to have him fix it. I called the Alliance location and they did xrays/ examine. Sure enough the dentist put the filling too far to where it was touching my nerve. Oh and I needed antibiotics. Found out I needed a root canal to fix the mistake. So now after paying for the first visit they now expected me to pay around $1800 to fix the mistake! I asked them why I have to pay to fix their mistake and I was told a supervisor was being contacted but apparently they just thought once again to completely ignore me. Instead of fixing a mistake. So instead of making things right they just ignore people so definitely don't go here. They'll mess you up and take no accountability but still expect to paid!

This place sucks do not waste your time here or your money because all they care about is money AND FAKE REVIEWS!!!!

Experiencia negativa: I have been treated horribly at the Aspen Dental close to me. They have taken me to the point of having a broken bridge to making me an adhesive dental implant then breaking it. Made me another one which in 4 hrs the bridge front tooth began breaking the enamel off my completely good tooth in the front. I'm now left with having that tooth taken out, have a root canal, then fixed with an implant. There was a change in between when the first dentist retired overnight. The plans were mixed up so now I have a half of a mouth without any teeth! The new dentist says I can't get implants because of osteoporosis!! Never even asked me about that prior. This place is so bad I wouldn't take a gog to get a teeth cleaning!! Stay away!! Now I've heard all kinds of bad things about this place. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!

They will run up random charges and then “wave them” if you write a 5 star review on the spot… quite literally buying your review for I watched them do it to other patients while I was there. Will tell you they have to do your whole mouth at once to try and get as much money out of you as they can, even when you are only having issues with one tooth. Do not recommend this location, the staff makes it terrible.

Experiencia negativa: Went because it was close and my dentist stopped taking my insurance I’ve been going to since i was a kid. I went in and they said i had 7 cavities, needed a crown , had gum disease and called me and said the treatment would be 5k when i just went to my dentist and i had 0 things wrong 2 months prior. I went to get a second opinion from another dentist and again they said i had 0 cavities and absolutely did not need a crown and just needed my 20+ filling fixed and nothing is wrong with my gums. They are a scam and the “dentist” looked in my mouth for about 5 seconds and then said i needed all that. After talking with other people they have had all the same terrible experience.

Experiencia negativa: Needed and emergency tooth extraction, clearly tooth is broken in half, can't eat cant sleep, spent two hours and left with nothing, dental assistant made a show of ripping up my paperwork because I was upset, clearly im upset, im in pain called for an emergency and got an exam wanting to set up all these other things I dont need... 0/10would not recommend.

Experiencia negativa: I'm leaving this review to say always get a second opinion if something doesn't feel right. I came to this office looking for an evaluation and then a visit for a routine cleaning and help with teeth sensitivity. This office was covered by my new insurance so I thought I'd give it a try. It was a bad experience from start to finish. The overall vibes in the office were very high school. Giving coworkers glares and eye rolls as they walked by and whispering behind each others backs. My actual evaluation visit was all of 5 minutes-if that. I was told I needed several teeth extracted (wisdom teeth & molars that are not an issue at the moment), I had gum disease and needed a deep cleaning that was going to cost me over $1,000 out of pocket for special treatments. Obviously I was a bit shocked because I have generally decent oral hygiene- just some sensitivity in a few spots. Then go the office manager who tells me the breakdown of all the services and I say I need time to figure it out and her response is how soon can she call me to set up payment and treatments. I felt like all they cared about was the money. Frustrated, I went to a different Aspen office and asked for a re-evaluation. This doctor reviewed the first evaluation and said no extractions were needed unless bothersome, I had NO signs of any gum disease and only needed a basic cleaning and when I asked about the sensitivity instead of jumping to the most severe options for care, he prescribed a stronger toothpaste that costs me $20 bucks. I scheduled a regular cleaning with their hygienist the next day and within a few days of using the toothpaste my sensitivity is 100 times better. It really was that simple. Now I understand an opinion is an opinion. Everyone has one. But for these evaluations to be SO different and the overall office experience to be SO different is why I am leaving a review. Trust your gut, get a second evaluation from an office that cares. Shame on this office for looking at patients like dollar signs. Do better.

Experiencia positiva: First I went to the fairlawn office they did the surgery and it was horrible there. They tried to charge me over 2000. Extra cause the dentist didn’t take my insurance which they should have told me that in the beginning. I had to go the next day for them to put my teeth in but he decided he was leaving so he walked out even knowing I was from out of town. So the third day I went back and I had never seen this guy before, the nurse was so sweet and did her best to get the teeth in but she realized they were to big, so this man with a sweatshirt, jeans no white coat said he could get them in and grabbed my teeth and started to push WITHOUT NO GLOVES AND I WAS.EEDING GROM THE STITCHES. So I hit his hand away and got up to get my husband which is 83 yrs old. So the so called dentist decides he wants to fight my husband. It was so bad they my little nurse started to cry and hugged me. Another dentist called the office in my town and they agreed to take me there and never once charged me. Penny for all they did. Along the way we found he left a tooth in there of course he( the guy from fairlawn didn’t want to do it but they made him. I had him operate at noon went home and took a nap woke up to a face that was so swelled so off to the hospital we go. I had sespise and they said one more day I might not of pulled through. That also threw me into pancreas problems which took a month to get better. Then the office in Massillon finished everything and made sure I had them for Thanksgiving. Well as I was so happy and eating my heart out I looked down and my teeth were on my plate. I wanted to hide in a hole. But we got the best laugh out of it and am sure I will hear it til the day I die and I know someone will bring it up. I tried to call them today but they are closed until Monday. So I won’t have teeth until Monday. But they are so nice here I know they will fix them right away. So everyone that’s my story and if your having a bad day I hope it helps you. After all I’m even laughing.

She is partially blind and also hard of hearing. The doctor was very kind and came up with the best and least expensive plan for her. Magen was also so good to work with. She was also very kind and patient with my mother in law. My mother in law's name is Ethel Helscher.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible rude mgmt they blame the call center for making mistakes then they lie and say they called and emailed you to say they have to cancel the appointment. Don't let the so called call center make the mistake of telling you that they take kids as young as 6 and no they dont take all state funded insurance. This one in Massillon pshhh they are not running properly dont have answers to your questions and are very uneducated on how they work. They also say one thing then change it to another... very rude mgmt and will never recommend to anyone unless I dont like that person.

I was not treated differently for not having insurance currently, only smiles and how can we help you. Before and after my surgery today everyone was above and beyond, explaining every step and taking the time to actually let me know they care. Will forever be taking my business here. Experiencia negativa: I had an appointment on Tuesday, and the office was clearly short-staffed. Honestly, the appointments should have been rescheduled. The doctor worked on me mostly by himself, coming in and out between seeing “NP patients” or “post-op patients.” It made me feel uncomfortable and vulnerable. After the procedure, my bite didn’t feel right even after adjustments. The next day my teeth were throbbing, the bite still felt high, and I couldn’t get floss between the teeth. The edge is also sharp and cutting my tongue. The earliest appointment they can offer to fix it is Monday. To make things more frustrating, I also need a root canal — but they only perform those on certain Tuesdays, about once a month. It feels impossible to schedule necessary care. At this point, I’m planning to finish out my current treatment plan since I’ve already set up a payment plan, but once that’s done, I’ll be transferring my care elsewhere.

His work was spot on. Meghan kept me in the loop, explaining everything as we went along. They showed me the x-rays and I was so amazed at how perfectly he aligned the post. Straight as can be and aligned on all sides. I felt I was in very good hands every step of the way. Meghan is so pleasant and enthusiastic about her job, it made me smile. Dr Popa was so kind and so professional. I am glad I chose Aspen. I have been coming here for 2 years now and it is always a positive experience.

Experiencia fantástica: From the time I went into the office until I left it was the most pleasant dental appointment I have ever had. The office was opened ahead of time, decorated for fall and even smelled wonderful! The receptionist greeted everyone with a "Good Morning" and I was greeted by my name and told I was already checked in. Then I was greeted by Meghan who took me right back to the dental chair who carefully rolled me in my wheelchair asking me if she was going too fast so she didn't roll over my feet. She asked if I needed help into the dental chair as all Aspen assistants do and then she listened to my concerns. She relayed them to the dentist - Dr. Popa What a treasure! Dr. Popa took his time and explained what was going on with my implant posts. He described what needed done & why, had x-rays taken so he could see what was going on to be certain, and then showed me the x-rays! He arranged for the oral surgeon who originally implanted the post that did not heal as it should have to be replaced. He prescribed an antibiotic to clean up any infection and a stronger version of Motrin for the pain I have been experiencing in the area since the last procedure was performed and best of all assured me he would be able to complete the implants once the posts had healed in 3 months. I then had the pleasure of meeting the Office Manager Katarina. She scheduled me for the necessary treatment in less than a week's time! She offered to wheel me to the door but I said if you just point me in the direction I can manage. She got up away from her desk escorted me to her doorway and showed me the direction. What a lovely young woman to do so as busy as she must be! Finally, on my way out every staff person I passed said "Goodbye and have a good day!" I am telling you I am still smiling! Thank you so very much!!

From the moment I walked in everyone was very polite and welcoming. All of my questions were answered and I was overall pleased with how my appointment went. Rachael did a great job!

Experiencia negativa: I went to the one in Massillon I really wish I went to the one in belden village the one in Massillon it is taking me since April of 2025 it is now the middle of September to even get my partial correct they had to send my partial back because it was not even didn't even fit in my mouth they yet again gave me another partial and had to send it back to the lab they're absolutely terrible would never recommend anybody to go to Aspen dental in Massillon go to the one in belden village they absolutely suck!!!!!! And then they want to charge me extra from my insurance company and it's been since April trying to get one small partial correct and it's still not correct so I am going to call the one in belden village to see if they can get it correct. The one in Massillon is an absolute joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Highly recommend you do not go there

Experiencia fantástica: This was legit, the best dentist experience I've ever had. I know, I know, that seems hyperbolic, but its not. Dr Foote, (most priceless name for a dentist imo), and his assistant Rachael were simply amazing. He got a long rooted molar with an abscess out in like 1 minute. Doc is smooth! Everyone was very caring and kind. 10/10 recommend! Ps. This was a same day appointment

Experiencia fantástica: I woke up at 3 am with very bad pain in a tooth. I came here as a walk in and they were able to extract my tooth same day. They offered me other options but didn't stress/push them after I told them I just wanted it pulled. The staff was very friendly and the DA Nicole made me feel calm and not anxious at all.

Everyone took such good care of me the dental assistant Nicole was very welcoming and easy when taking my x-rays the doctor really told me what I needed and made sure I understood the Hygienist Holly is so sweet. She really took care of me and was able to give me a cleaning that day, even though her schedule was booked. the office manager, Katarina helped me understand the total cost, and breakdown of what the doctor told me I needed and helped me with my finances. thank you Aspen Dental Massillon.
