Experiencia negativa: Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience. I called this office specifically because I had a broken filling. I gave them my insurance information over the phone and was told they could get me in to fix it. That was the reason for my appointment. Period. When I arrived, they took me back for standing x-rays and then back to a cleaning area and took more x-rays. A receptionist came back and got my insurance card took it to the front desk to run it and came back with it all while these other x-rays were being taken. While she was cleaning my teeth the dental hygienist said the dentist could also get my filling taken care of today if I’d like. Since that was the whole reason I came in in the first place I said yes. Then after the cleaning was finished they took me back to a different cleaning area and the dentist came in and numbed me up for the filling and then the dentist stepped away while the Novocain took effect. That is when the receptionist came in and informed me that they didn’t accept my insurance and that I was now responsible for paying for the services they had already performed. Excuse me? You had my insurance information BEFORE my appointment. You knew why I was there. Yet somehow it took until AFTER you had already provided services and numbed me to tell me you didn't accept my insurance. The dentist then said maybe they could give me the filling for free and that he would look into it. He walked out, and I never saw him again. So I came in with a broken filling, was put through X-rays and a cleaning I did not come there for, got numbed for the treatment I actually needed, and then left with the broken filling STILL not fixed. And now I'm apparently expected to pay for services that were not the reason I made the appointment in the first place. The entire situation was handled poorly from start to finish. If a dental office is given insurance information when an appointment is scheduled, the absolute bare minimum is to verify coverage BEFORE performing services and creating a bill for the patient. I should not have to pay for the office's failure to verify my insurance. I came there expecting the service I specifically called about. Instead, I left without the treatment I needed and with a bill for services I never asked for. I will absolutely think twice before ever returning to this office, and I would strongly recommend that anyone considering them verify their insurance coverage and the exact cost of every service BEFORE they let this office touch you. It sucks that I have to leave this review because everyone there was nice and friendly and I would have made this my permanent dentist, but the level of incompetence or unethical conduct in the front desk/admin area just overshadows the friendliness. The dental hygienist and dentist were great though.

Made the entire experience so great and helped make a plan to get me back in to make sure I got the proper care. Couldn’t recommend this place enough

Experiencia negativa: Long story short- was stuck with a $650 bill because they took too long to bill insurance. I was never billed for any work done in 2023. My work switched insurance in 2024. The reached out in April/May 2024 saying my insurance never paid. When they called (a year after the first work was done) we discovered that the insurance account was wrong (SSN and acct. number were switched in their system). Figured issue was taken care of. Today I get a letter threatening to send me to collections. Since they took so long to bill, my previous insurance wouldn't cover the costs. I doubt any of this was intentional, but that kind of mistake means I'm switching dentists. Update: I called Applewhite with this issue, and they offered me 5% off of my bill. However if I paid with a credit card there was a 3% service charge. I could send a check, but the collection letter gave me less than 2 weeks to pay, so I didn't want to risk it. In the end was offered a 2% discount for their mistake. I was told that the collection notice was indeed the only letter I would have got from them, and it was done at a "corporate level" so they couldn't do anything about it.

Experiencia fantástica: My work ,Smith Trucking refered me . I was in pain for weeks even my ear and my head! Unbearable !! So I called and reception said " I'm sorry we are not taking new patients " I was used to hearing this by now! ( I'm a OTR Truck driver and have been trying everywhere)And then this absolute " Angel said well what's wrong ? So I told her and she put me on hold for less then a min., and said can you be here in a hour ... Omg yes ! So I got there got tooth pulled and was in and out in an hour maybe just a little over? These Dentist and staff are truly Amazing and so kind and speak to you as if you were their friend or a regular Patient . Thank you for saving my life and my Job !! ... By the way this was 1 week b4 Christmas!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS HAPPY NEW YEAR AND GOD BLESS!!!

Clean facility and friendly staff. The front desk got me checked in right away. I haven't needed any extensive work on my teeth so my experience is limited to imaging and cleaning of my teeth. The dental hygienist who worked on me did an excellent job cleaning my teeth and getting the images. 2023.07.13 Update - Remains the best dentist staff I've had.

Having the TVs on the ceiling so the patient has something to watch while dental work is being performed is a nice touch. They are definitely putting their patient's care and comfort first. I having going to Applewhite Dental for over a year now, and my experience with them has continued to be excellent. This is probably the first time in my life that I've found a dentist that I actually enjoy going to see. Also, they are very affordable.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband had a dental emergency and we were from out of town. As soon as we explained the situation, they got us in that day. X-rays were taken but we didn't have time there to fix the problem. Jakoba came out to the car to explain what the problem was and that they would send the x-rays wherever they needed to go. The dentist explained the whole situation to my husband. They were very responsive and helpful. If we lived in Worthington, this would be our dentist.

Dr. Bryan always remembers the issues you've brought up in the past not just with your dental problems but also issues with previous providers and makes sure you don't have those same issues. My daughter and I won't go anywhere else.

They we're incredibly nice and were able to get me in the next day. I had an infected tooth with a lump next to it. The day I went in they said they could be get it taken out right then and there. I obviously need other work done but they were so nice to work with me and help me with the most pressing problem so it wouldn't be as expensive. They we're always very clear about every step and answered all of my questions. Most importantly they never once downplayed or belittled any fear or pain I was experiencing and were super helpful the whole time.
