Experiencia negativa: I have a few complaints. First, they talked me into doing a cancer screening which cost quite a bit of money and then the dentist later said I probably didn't need it. Second, I signed up for a year long package but when I asked for a copy of the contract, they failed to provide me with on. Last, when I finally did switch to a new dentist due to a move, they wanted $20 just to send my records. This is usually a curtesy. I asked two days in advance, filled out the form, but they were still unable to get the records to my new dentist in time because their credit card machine wasn't working and they refused to send the records without payment first. I expect better customer service from my dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: My visit today at Victoria Dentistry was outstanding starting with Fabiola the receptionist, Sonia who informed me of Dr. Vela new chapter in her life, moving on to my beautiful hygienist Stephanie who is awesome, and finish with my new Dr. Joy which has such amazing bedside manners that makes you feel so comfortable and answers your questions and concerns. It was a pleasure meeting Dr. Joy and having her go to work in my mouth. This morning visit from the beginning until the end was A+, 10 out of 10. I thank each one of you once again for making my day Outstanding. Oh my goodness how dare I forget, last and certainly not least Aleah also awesome bedside manners Aleah and Dr. Joy makes Great combo while doing work in my mouth. Thank you so much Aleah. Instead of a standard dental exam, the doctor spent the entire appointment lecturing me on personal life choices and being to old for braces. He did not even look at my teeth but instead made unsolicited comments about my lip and facial structure. I came in for dental care and left feeling judged and unheard. I would not recommend this office if you are looking for professional, clinical treatment

Experiencia negativa: Bear with me. This is long. I’ve been in constant pain for a month now. I’ve been going to Victoria Dentistry pretty much since they opened and have never had an issue. Staff was always nice, hygienists and dentists did great, up until now. Dr. Vela left the practice and I was not informed my dentist appointment would be with a new dentist. Okay that’s fine I guess. I show up and am seen by Dr. Duvall. He did Xrays and told me I needed work. The hygienist was very demeaning about my cavities, and the way she spoke to me made it sound like I was a child that didn’t know how to brush their teeth. If she had bothered to look at my history, I had regular appointments, am type 1 diabetic (which affects dental care) and recently had a baby (which also affects dental care). I was told by Dr. Duvall I needed fillings and the coordinator called to schedule an appointment. I mentioned the tooth I was heavily worried about and wanting to get it fixed, so we decided to start with that tooth. Other than that, my ‘treatment plan’ was never mentioned or discussed with me. I went for my appointment, he did fillings, and I scheduled an appointment for a few days later for more fillings. Then when I got home, I realized the problem with my tooth wasn’t fixed nor addressed. There was and still is severe decay outside of my tooth, and he slapped a filling on the flat surface and called it a day. Against better judgment, I still went to the next appointment, where again, none of my treatment was discussed with me. I left with fillings to two more teeth. My bite was so high from all of the new fillings on that side of my mouth that my jaw was intensely sore and was locking up. I could t eat. The pain progressed over the next week down to my neck, in to my ear, and I couldn’t even open my mouth. I also can’t eat or drink anything because my tooth is SO sensitive. I made an emergency appointment with another dentist office where I was told I’ll likely need a root canal, but he would try filing the fillings and fixing my bite first just in case. This didn’t fix the problem and now I’m getting a root canal. I do have photo proof of the teeth he did work on. There is still decay inside the tooth at the root. Two other offices told me the work that was done, shouldn’t have been done. Alternatives should have been discussed with me and I should have been informed it was more severe than it looked. Instead, he closed it with composite, no medicated patch, and said nothing. Aside from the problematic tooth, the one I was initially worried about is being recommended to be pulled by the endodontist, so he should have never put fillings on it either. I’ve now paid over $2000 out of pocket for work that is very questionable, as of tomorrow. That doesn’t include the possible second root canal and either crowns I’ll need to receive. Look up Kenneth Duvall DDS before you make an appointment here. I don’t know if they are aware of the issues with this dentist working here, but he does have prior problematic history in Sugarland/Rosenburg along with his practice being permanently closed according to previous reviews and Google.

Experiencia negativa: The front desk lady is rude she always has an attitude for no reason. I wouldn’t recommend this place to no one. With all the bad experiences that other people have on top of the front desk lady’s attitude 0 out of 10 do not recommend.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Vela is great & we enjoy going to her. Unfortunately we will no longer be going to victoria dentistry since they tend to cancel appointments continuously without any regards to your time. I've also showed up to an appointment without any notice that our appointment was canceled and instead of rescheduling the appointment while I was there I was told I would get a call with a new appointment but never did. You will also not get a call back even after leaving voice messages regarding your canceled appointments. I'm not sure what's going on but even calling is an issue since you can't really hear the other person due to the phone line being distorted on their end which has been that way for months now.

Dr. Vela has, in the last three years, helped me save 28 of my teeth and done so with professional excellence. The entire staff has been a benefit to my well being and I can chew again. I do not know what else to say other than this office is a great benefit to this community, my teeth, and my mental health. Thank you.

Experiencia negativa: My son and I have been coming to Victoria dentistry for years now. Today I received a call saying my insurance was maxed out and asked if I want to cancel my appointments for today. I was told all that could be covered was an exam and cleaning, which is what the appointments were for and was asked again if I want to cancel my appointment. If you call me to cancel my appointment, that’s exactly what I’m going to do, and take our business elsewhere. This, added on top of the woman working in the insurance department has always been rude to me, I will gladly never come back. Dr Vela has always been kind and gentle but she can’t continue to carry the whole department on her shoulders.

Experiencia negativa: I was cut short on my review- but Liz should be informed that my son thought it was the dentist screaming at me at the front (not just the front desk lady, Liz!!). Wow, Liz, no wonder why my 10 year old child was exceptionally still during his procedure & didn't want to say a word! He assumed it had been the DENTIST screaming at his mother & he was terrified that the dentist would do the same to him, too. Deplorable that they are allowing you to get away with this. They should have IMMEDIATELY reprimanded your psychotic behavior- you should never have been allowed to stand behind your manager as she was "trying" to handle the situation, flailing your arms like a complete barbarian, scoffing, crazy-eyed yelling "NUH-UH!!" to everything I was attempting to explain. NOT SUITABLE for any environment- especially with CHILDREN!!! FB reviews posted as well.

Experiencia negativa: The behavior I experienced from their "new" receptionist "Liz"(Lizbeth) today was ABSOLUTELY unprofessional, unhinged, inappropriate, unnecessary, aggressive and totally volatile. I have no idea how she would ever be allowed to work any "front desk" position as "customer sevice" is a necessary skill. It is clear she is struggling with her job- & I have grace for that- but completely unraveling because a client (the MOTHER of the CHILD-patient, rather) has a question about the payment of the procedure- or a # that is appearing on a receipt or ledger- the fact that Liz has absolutely no idea about her job-again, is FINE--THE ISSUE, however, is when Liz is asked a question she doesn't know the answer to- it completely triggers buckwild behavior-& THAT'S disturbing. It actually rattled me & I can confidently say that NO ONE -especially in a professional setting- especially where CHILDREN are serviced- has ever spoken to me like that, ever. This behavior would be unfit for the fastfood industry. I truly hope that she received a background check before her hiring process because I can not even imagine how "real life" is for her, when problems are much larger & actually have an affect on her. She IMMEDIATELY began rolling her eyes, scoffing, & like "laughing" but more of a "hmph" when I asked for clarification on the receipt- because I paid $844 & I saw an $877 on the ledger- and I just wanted to confirm that I wasn't over-paying or under-paying-ABSOLUTELY that is a fair & valid question- asking the people I am paying to help me understand what I am paying for or if I owe $-- IS completely VALID & fair- if this blows your mind & you want to cop an attitude & tell me that you just started so you don't know how to do anything--FINE-- but DROP the attitude-& please attempt to at least pretend like you have more maturity & competency than the actual CHILDREN your dentistry services! UNREAL! & all of the 1☆ reviews here talking about a rude receptionist from 4 or 5 years ago- yes!! But at least she wasn't volatile & unhinged! I'll take rude over unhinged & unstable-any day!! Liz is making the other girl look like a delightful peach! Liz is far, far worse than any bad attitude or any over-charges happening- this girl needs to have a real, mental evaluation & I hope you "excuse" her from this position and encourage her to get the necessary help she needs. After she was triggered by my asking to clarify the receipt- she continued to give me a hard time- I stood my ground and said "I feel validated in my question and even though I feel YOU should know the answers to these questions-I really don't feel like it's a big deal for you to ask someone else"-- to which she escalates her tone and voice even FURTHER- and is like "I AM!!"-- & stunned I say, "why are you being so confrontational?" And-now completely SHOUTING at this point- she yells "YOU'RE THE ONE BEING SO RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL!!!" Huh?!? Staff RUSHED in & Liz flailing arms & yelling "NUH UH!" when I tried to explain to manager- she was FINALLY ushered away....Barbaric!! Listen- I know you "can't argue with crazy" but please Victoria Dentisty-- I am imploring you to DO BETTER! You have waayy too valuable of dentists working there for someone like Liz- who clearly doesn't care about her job-- tanking your business. Liz is giving "bouncer" at the bar energy- NOT a professional who is working around children & CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would be doing a disservice to not only myself but other parents as well- if I didn't speak up & speak out about the complete injustice from this morning- Liz is a disgrace to your business- absolutely unacceptable. AFTER my child's procedure- Sonja went over everything with me- and explained EVERYTHING- totally fine & no big deal! Sonja's attitude over LIZ's explosion, however, was apathetic- no sincere apology was offered-NO assurance that she would be reprimanded to the highest degree & that this would never happen again..told me "higher up"(Nora) would be notified- bet that never happened..now I get the feeling camera footage more than likely deleted

Experiencia negativa: They called me the day before my appt and said that insurance wasn’t going to cover my cleaning. When I asked about it, the receptionist said they had reached out to insurance & that insurance was requiring a deep clean because I had previously been treated for a gum infection which wasn’t true. I called my previous dentist and gave them permission to share records. The receptionist lied about the dental records my previous dentist sent over in an effort to charge me more for a cleaning. I called my previous dentist and they said they had only ever done the standard adult cleaning and that I had never been treated for gum issues. I called my dental insurance company and they said they haven’t been contacted about my dental history but that have no record of any gum infection treatments. When I asked to speak to someone in charge at Victoria Dentistry, they took my number but never called me back. I called multiple times in an attempt to resolve the issue. I did talk to the receptionist again and asked her why she lied about insurance and dental history and she said “I don’t know.” Disgusting and unprofessional way to do business.

Stephanie, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure that I felt at ease during my appointment. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely caring. Her expertise and gentle approach made the whole dental process much more pleasant. I highly recommend this dental office, especially with Stephanie's exceptional help. They truly prioritize their patients' comfort and well-being.

They don’t deny that they owe us the refund, they just keep lying and giving us diffrwnt excuses as to why they haven’t refunded it yet. They are literal thieves in my opinion. I have filed a complaint with the Tx Dental Board. This is very unethical for a Dental office….For anyone for that matter. I have made numerous calls and basically just lied to each time I call. Shame on yall, shady practice will get you no where.

Experiencia fantástica: Wait, a dentist you actually want to visit? Yep! Hate places that confront you with your every dental sin, drowning you in anxiety and scaring you away? Well, this ain’t that place. (I know that place; it’s depressing as hell.) Here, they take a look at whatcha need, get ya some cost options, and get ya fixed up and taken care of. Fast, professional, kind, and has a relaxing environment.

Experiencia negativa: Dentist is 5 stars. Office is 0 stars. Second occasion of having a cleaning appointment schedule six months in advance canceled the day off and told next appointment available is 6-7 months later and would be put on call list. Then a few weeks later when contacted because children hadn’t em been scheduled and we’re overdue. When on phone office staff told spouse they had an opening the next day; however, never called myself about my appointment they cancelled that they could have me come in. This is the second time an appointment has been cancelled because of a staffing issue at the office and then poor scheduling by office. Investing further realized they never scheduled three kids for follow ups as well, which in past the office always did soon as appointment is over. Hopefully they get the office to get things together back to how they used to be, because the dentist is okay, sad the scheduling is so bad. We contacted another dentist location in town and we’re able to schedule everyone in the family within the next two weeks to make up for all these canceled appointments and missed scheduling we’ve dealt with lately at Victoria Dentistry.

Experiencia fantástica: If I could I would leave 10 stars! we currently experienced a traumatizing experience at Victoria pediatric dentistry by home depot. that dental office hurt my daughter and wouldn't stop. so coming to dr vela after that office was the Best experience! guts my daughter did soooo good with Dr vela! at Victoria dentistry they really do care for their patients! my daughters anxiety was so high but dr vela talked her through it all. had conversations with her and completely kept her comfortable. I was in tears leaving but tears of joy!!! she is TRUE professional dentistry! thank you!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I was in need of an appointment for a cleaning ASAP, and I gave them a call to which they were able to get me an appointment within a few days. It was soooo helpful!! Everyone was super nice and knowledgeable! My hygienist, Steph, was so helpful and explained everything that was being done and also let me know I was doing such a good job at taking care of my teeth, given the fact that I recently had braces for over a year. (Which I appreciate greatly) Going to this dentist office is something I’d highly suggest so everyone could experience a great environment for their oral hygiene.

The office secretary was training a new person; which she was very kind and professional with while walking her through the new patient check-in procedure. Both hygienists were extremely nice and gentle with my children. They explained what they were doing which eased my 8 yr old's worries. Dr. Leita was very professional and courteous. She thoroughly went through what needed to be done for my youngest and provided me with enough information for me to feel assured that she is a competent practitioner. There office is clean and well kept. They offer plenty of activities to preoccupy the children while they wait for their appointment. The wait time is very impressive, too! We got in on time with hardly any wait.

Experiencia fantástica: My whole family receives dental services from this location for a few years now. We have had no problems with billing and insurance, and they've always been very upfront about care without putting pressure for this or that. I remember my husband cracked his tooth and they got him in quickly to repair the damage. They are amalgam free (which I believe most dentists are by now, not using the mercury mixed fillings). We see Dr. Vela at the Victoria location. She is always a joy, courteous and professional. All the staff have been likewise (well, you know, I'm not saying everybody is sunshine and rainbows, but who is? Lol. They are courteous and helpful. This is my subjective experience). There are two hallways and two waiting areas. Facing the location. The right side entry leads to the adult waiting area, where there is a tele, comfortable seating, and usually tea and/or coffee. And when the adults go back there is an adults hallway. The left side entry takes you into the children's waiting area. The seats are more spartan in comfort, but really, we're talking kids here...they have a kitchen playset and two monitors with two PS2s to entertain, as well as a tree that's either playing a movie or children's program. The children's hallway and rooms are much more colorful, but the set up is basically the same. They are connected by a hallway where X-rays may be completed (shared by adults and kids), and a hallway all the way in the back. Bathrooms are in both hallways, and have always been clean and tidy! That's all I can think of right now! I recommend if you are looking for a dentist.

Dental hygienist Heather was so sweet! She did a great job on my cleaning & X-rays! I went in for a Zoom whitening treatment the next day & was attended by Mercy. She did a fantastic job! She made sure I was comfortable with the procedure & informed me very well before starting. She was very gentle & my teeth are SOOO white!! Definitely recommend Victoria Dentistry; especially Heather & Mercy! My three year old son was with me & they did a wonderful job with him as well
