Experiencia negativa: Extremely disappointed in the office staff, whom continually harass you w/ messages, calls even when you have appt & have never missed an appt & have expressed numerous times that it is not acceptable & certainly NOT desired. If they do not hear from you, they leave message threatening to give your appointment away. It is one thing to do a reminder call and leave a message or a send a text, if you have authorized that (which i did not) or send you a message in a medical app, such as MyCharts, but to continually threaten & harass is completely UNACCEPTABLE for a business. My breaking point was today. Yesterday the harassment got beyond unacceptable. I was extremely busy with my job & critical meetings. So, they proceeded to contact my husband without my permission, whom SHOULD NOT be getting non-work calls when he is operating heavy equipment. Completely UNSAFE. So, he called me, which he never does unless it is an emergency. I left a very important meeting to take his call, thinking he had been in a work accident, because that is the only time we "call" each other during work hours. For him to let me know that the dentist office was harassing him too. So, I really thought about this & was going to speak directly w/ Dr. Gaskill during my appt today, but ended up chatting w/ the hygienist, whom said they would note my account not to call & harass me. So, I didn't bring this up to Dr. Gaskill since I thought this was resolved. As, I went to leave, the extremely pushy office person was essentially saying that they would continue to harass me until they received confirmation. I am not irresponsible, in actuality, i am very organized and make my appointments. To be treated like this is completely unacceptable. She tried to claim that other medical places do this. NOT TRUE... not even close. I've had many appointments w/ Swedish, Skagit Regionals, UW Medical, Cascadia Eye, Children's, & more.... and not a single one harasses you. They give you an option in the app, to not receive a reminder call, which i have selected. They may send you a notice via MyCharts, or 1 phone call which DOES NOT REQUIRE CONFIRMATION. They do not cancel my appointment. Most of these places, if THEY EXPECT the patient to fillout forms, they do this with a medical app, NOT VIA text message. With the way hackers & criminals are anymore, I am not comfortable EVER clicking on links within a text message, & certainly not going to provided personal or billing, or credit info. Which, if you need dental work, they won't even schedule it until they have provided a cost estimate & you sign for it. So, it is absolutely insane that Dr. Gaskill is allowing his office staff to do this to his patients that have been dedicated & supportive. Dr Gaskill purchased this business from the original founder Dr Brandt back in 2020, whom I saw for years prior. Through all the bumps & changes, we continued to stay & support Dr Gaskill. Which many did not. We have actually liked watching how he has grown as a dentist & absolutely love the dental hygienist. So, this is not a reflect on them performing there work. Last year, I actually broke a back tooth, how... who knows. But, Dr. Gaskill did a excellent job in fixing that tooth. Which ended up requiring more work once he was in there. He informed me of the addtl work, & cost, & I accepted that. Which is how business should work. After the appt, I paid the total amount not covered by insurance in full. So, why when you have a dedicated local person, whom is trying to support your business do you allow your office staff to harass patients beyond acceptable limits. Maybe, it might be warranted, if the patient has been a repeat offender, but MOST PLACES would handle that by either giving the patient a huge "no show" fee or give a warning if this occurs again that they will not be able to come back. Sad & unfortunate that the office staff is ruining it. The pushy person behind the desk is the reason I quit this dentist office today.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a crown break. My dentist is 50 miles away. I called Dr. Gaskin’s office, located closer, and they scheduled me quickly. The evaluation was thorough and I was scheduled very soon for replacement. The prep was careful and thorough. The bill was explained well. Dr. Gaskin is willing to take time to answer questions and has a soothing “chair side manner”. I’m switching over to his office.

Edit: The dental tech who greeted me today asked about a trip I told her I was planning on my last visit (6+ months ago). Dr. Gaskill is truly exceptional. He is always polite, patient, and thorough, taking the time to really listen and explain everything clearly. I had been dealing with an issue for quite some time. A couple of other dentists dismissed it as nothing, while another even suggested it might be a tumor. Dr. Gaskill carefully examined it and knew right away what it was as soon as he touched it. He confirmed it immediately and referred me to an oral surgeon so I could get the right treatment. I deeply appreciate his kindness, professionalism, and the extra steps he took, going well beyond what most dentists would ever do. Thanks to him, I finally have peace of mind and the right care plan moving forward. The entire team is gentle, reassuring, and works at your pace, which made me feel comfortable from the start. Their numbing process is far better than anything I’ve ever experienced, it made all the difference. Everyone is knowledgeable, professional, and never pushy or salesy. After a full cleaning, my teeth look better than they have in over a decade. Now, I no longer feel anxious about maintenance or future visits. I’m so grateful to have found this place. Experiencia negativa: The hygienist did all the work and the dentist spent less than 5 minutes with me on a first (and only) visit. He didn’t explain anything, then asked me if I had any questions… how would I know what to ask? I went to a different dentist and found I was over-quoted, and told I needed unnecessary work. I received a much more thorough visit and communication at my new dentist. I find it hard to believe all these reviews are 5 stars. No dentist, let alone business, has 100% perfect reviews. And yes, my visit with you was May 22- checked your records. Btw, the new dentist had to take new X-rays (free of charge) since yours that were forwarded were too grainy. My experience is now even worse, from the reply you left.

I can't RAVE enough about this small, cozy dental office. Experiencia fantástica: I had a great first appointment at Cedar Grove Dental. Joslin is the first person you have contact with. She is great at here job. She makes you feel welcomed to the practice. Erin the Hygienist explains what to expect at the appointment and cares about her patients. Dr Gaskill explained the pros and cons of the options I had in my appt and gave me the treatment costs. He gave me the time to talk about both options with my wife and to decide what was best for us. We are going ahead with his recommended treatment.

The staff all seem very friendly and are helpful. You can tell they all love their jobs and really care! I'm so happy I found this clinic! Edit to add (April 2025): I believe I've seen the Good Doctor a solid dozen times in the past year, and I am forever impressed by the care I receive. Hes a great dentist, with more empathy than any other medical provider I have ever met. His staff is kind and professional. I have zero negative things to say here. 10/10 STILL recommend. Edit to add (May 2025) Still the best. Another cavity filled and pain relieved. Dr. Gaskill is the best. His team is the best. And I will continue to tell everyone anytime dentistry is brought up.

After asking for recommendations on the Next Door Neighbor app, Cedar Grove Dental had many positive recommendations. What made me give them a try is that it wasn't a practice of multiple dentists. After scheduling an appointment I felt confident that I had found the best dentist to replace Dr Gifford!

Experiencia fantástica: Going to the dentist is not one of my favorite things to do. This was my first visit to Cedar Grove. Everyone was nice and supportive. I was pleasantly surprised that I was somewhat relaxed after talking with the care givers. They shared their positive thoughts on my tooth care and noted a place that needed more attention. My dental hygienist demonstrated some techniques I could use in my problem area. I like that they talk with you, answer your questions and present things and do actions in a most pleasant manner. I think I may actually begin to not mind going to the dentist.

The staff was very kind and didn't hesitate to welcome me upon arrival and guide me through the process. The facility was clean and just what you should expect from a dental clinic. Dr. Gaskill was prompt and professional. He took care in answering all my questions and relieving some of my concerns. He seemed knowledgeable and confidential in what needed to be done to fix me up. I will update after my procedure. Update* My procedure went great. They were very quick and made sure to numb me sufficiently for the things that needed to be done. They continuously asked if I was alright or feeling any pain. I'm very happy with my care.
