Experiencia fantástica: Luma Dentistry is amazing!! Went in yesterday to have 5 permanent crowns put in. No shots and no pain. We ran into an issue of something that showed up on an x-ray on my jaw. They were so kind and caring. They gave me all the possibilities. They are in contact with my oncologist, and got the ball rolling to see what this is. To me they are like family. I would recommend them 24/7.

Experiencia negativa: First experience was great and second was not so much. First lady was young and had brown hair, she was nice and gentle on the teeth, second lady was older, her work was harsh and very violent to the point it bled badly because she was tearing my gums up. It's almost like she was RUSHING to get me out of the building. ADDITIONALLY, the head dental hygienist literally told me to my face that my teeth were bad and I didnt have good anatomy. I cannot imagine saying this to a client, It's highly unprofessional. I've struggled with my teeth as an insecurity my whole life. I've been neglected with my dental health all my childhood and have been taking good care of my teeth to reverse the insecurities and troubles caused to my teeth just for my efforts to feel like it was stomped all over. This is disappointing and I will probably not be returning.

I have severe anxiety about going to the dentist, and when I was dealing with some dental problems, Mason worked hard to get me in ASAP. From the moment I walked in, they both made me feel as comfortable and at ease as possible. Dr. Frankie was so kind, patient, and understanding. He truly listened to my concerns and recommended Luma Dentistry in McCalla because they offer sedation dentistry for patients like me who struggle with dental anxiety. Both locations have shown me such compassion and care, and I’m beyond thankful for the way they treated me. If you’re nervous about dental visits or need a caring team, I highly recommend them!

Experiencia negativa: Wonderful people - horrible 4 1/2 months ordeal for simple partial - which I can’t wear for long. Multiple trips for the (failed) impressions - with one pulling off a crown that I had to factor in for replacement. The crowns are too bright…and the partial doesn’t fit well but I can at least wear it short term. I really like the people and wanted this to work but I will never go back.

Experiencia negativa: Avoid this place if you need any major work done. They will lay out a plan for you and say your insurance pays X, you will owe this. You have the service done, pay the portion they said, then you get a bill in the mail 4 times the amount they said it would be. Happen to me twice, will not ever go there again. They are a bunch of money grabbing crooks!

I hope that’s his name) was absolutely wonderful and put both of us at ease while being sure to communicate what all was going on. Experiencia fantástica: My 16 year old son had a toothache on Christmas day and so we called the next morning, they had him in the chair in just a couple of hours after the phone call and they were wonderful. The situation ended up being something a little different than we expected but they guided us through the situation and made sure we knew exactly what needed to be done. They treated us both with kindness and respect.

Experiencia negativa: At first my experience was great. That all changed very quickly after receiving a remaining balance of $230+ on what I went in for thinking was a simple cleaning that my wife had called and scheduled for specifically, only a teeth cleaning. As someone else has mentioned in the reviews, I also strongly recommend to review your bill and know your coverage BEFORE accepting any service with them. Unfortunately for me I’m left with a remaining balance with Luma dentistry that will make its way to collections because I am unable to afford any extra expenses at the moment. Apparently they are told by corporate to accept any insurance and then bill the customer for whatever remains, which is exactly what happened in my situation. At the same time, I was told on the phone that they are changing the way they handle the process to accepting new customers and guess I just didn’t make the deadline in being advised. Moving forward, everyone was friendly in the office, I just disagree strongly with the way they run their office, seems unethical to run a business in that manner. Your employees, including receptionist should be very aware of every policy in place, not just the general dentist.
