Doctor Curry set up a plan for me to get my teeth in the best shape that they can be. I really appreciate her wonderful bedside manner. I will be back in a few weeks for my deep cleaning. Experiencia negativa: I really didn’t want to have to leave this review because I try my best to support black businesses, and I gave this office multiple chances, but unfortunately, this experience was my breaking point. I had cavities filled here earlier this week (as well as last year), and the numbing in my mouth lasted far longer than expected. By the next day, it still hadn’t worn off, so I called and was told it should resolve soon. When it didn’t improve by the following day, I called again because I was still numb and unable to chew, especially since I was already dealing with pain on the other side of my mouth. I was told to come back in, which I did. When the dentist came in, I was surprised that she didn’t seem aware of why I was there or of my recent procedure, even though it had only been a few days and was done by her. I had to re-explain everything, including the symptoms and concerns. What upset me most was what happened next: without any explanation, warning, or numbing, she began drilling into my tooth. It was extremely painful and completely unexpected. I had to stop her because I couldn’t tolerate the pain or the lack of communication. After that, I was simply told that “everything looks good, take some advil, etc.” which was frustrating given what had just happened. I left feeling unheard, uncomfortable, and honestly shaken by the experience. I’ve since scheduled an appointment with another dentist and will not be returning. I also want to add that I never had cavities prior to coming here about a year ago, and I tried to remain patient and trust the process but this experience made it clear I need to seek care elsewhere. Patients deserve clear communication, proper preparation before procedures, and to feel like their concerns are taken seriously. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

I really wish I could say amazing things about a family practice of color in the area but they my experience has been so extremely disappointing. After having perfect teeth all my life I came here and was told I had 8 cavities!! After having them filled I had so many painful issues. I didn’t even think to blame the dentist initially. I merely brought it up in conversation at my next visit and was gaslit, called GIRL, and told to leave the office. Very saddening. But if you can avoid this place. There are so many other great dentists in the area that do honest work and respect their patients. The owner is very obnoxious and behind that smile is an evil spirit. SAVE YOURSELVES

Experiencia negativa: I like Curry Dental don’t get me wrong but today’s appointment was a waste of time. I took off for a crown replacement and once I got to the office they noticed an issue with the crown, so it could not be delivered. This also means that I will need to take off another day, make sub plans, etc. when the replacement crown comes in. I’m not a fan of my time being wasted. I feel like if the crown had been inspected prior to my appointment this may not be an issue. I’m also wondering if the flattening of the bottom of the crown happened when it was being shaved. Finally, I’m new to the office and before each of my two scheduled appointments, I’ve been called to ask if I can change my appointment day/time with a very quick suggested turnaround (like next day). I don’t have the bandwidth to change an appointment once I’ve made one. I have already taken off and have a sub assigned. I did ask to be on the do not call list for appointment changes. I’m hoping doing that will work. I am also hoping for better outcomes in the near future.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give 0 stars I would. I hadn’t been to the dentist in 2 years when I saw her, it was after Covid. The visit was fine but she said I needed a lot of cavities filled, which was confusing because I had no pain, and I take care of my teeth. This didn’t sit right with me so I went back to my old dentist who told me I only needed a previous filling replaced. Stay away!!!!

Experiencia negativa: I unfortunately feel the burden to leave a review. The cleanings were great and the staff is super friendly. My issue came when I had two fillings completed in 2019. I immediately noticed a food gap and issues with flossing. At my next exam, Dr. Curry told me I have an over hang on the tooth I had filled. I told her yeah, I've noticed issues since you did it last time i was here. She told me she didn't do that filling, but I know she did. I even asked her to look at her records, but it became apparent she didn't want to take responsibility. It was uncomfortable to be gaslit so I never returned. I went to another dentist who fixed the one filling. Now I'm being told I need a crown on that same tooth since the filling is larger after being redone to fix the work being done at this office. The over hang needs to be fixed as well. As someone with dental anxiety, I just wish I could turn back the clock and have someone else fill those two cavities. Nevermind the cost of a crown I never would have needed had the filling been done correctly in the first place. The work done by this dentist is the only reason I have needed additional work over the last 5 years. It's upsetting and should serve as a warning for others who need work done.

Experiencia negativa: The disrespect is CRAZY she told my sister to leave the office just because she said he teeth hurt last time she left this place and was wondering what the problem was.. no one was ever rude to her and she came in calling her girl and told her to leave. How in the HELL do you own your practice talking to patients to like that? definitely don’t recommend this place whatsoever. Everyone in here was nice except for the actual dentist/owner so there’s some light at the end of the tunnel if you wanted to risk going here

Experiencia negativa: Always trying to upsell to get more money for unnecessary services. Never would do the second cleaning that I paid for without paying for extra services. Beware of the yearly subscription. All I got for $400 was one cleaning. Horrible experience.

Experiencia negativa: Received service here and found there methods dishonest they over diagnose and bill. The attending hygienist was constantly telling me “you can say no to anything you can refuse” after the other hygienists and doctor came in. She is clearly aware of the malpractice that goes on. And then the owner flags and deletes poor reviews.

Experiencia negativa: Both of my permanent crowns by this practice were adhered with gaps I have come to find out, so both have detached far earlier than they should have and I have to have them replaced. They are also perfectly content to garnish peoples wages due to their own negligence and lack of communication, if you make the mistake of going to them be sure to call them perhaps even a few times after every procedure just to verify there are no charges they regretted to inform you about. They are perfectly content to let an unpaid bill pile up until they get the courts involved, rather than reaching out via phone or anything of the sort to try to fix the issue, even if it's been years. Ridiculous and cruel. Perhaps it could be forgiven if the services provided were actually good, but my crowns and fillings are all terrible and have to be fixed.

Experiencia negativa: If you want your dentistry with a heavy dose of religion then this is the place for you. The office sound system blares gospel songs along with actual religious services. It’s a little disconcerting to be having dental work done as you’re hearing a group sing “Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!” I’ll be going to a more professional dentist office, which I’m sure is fine with them.

Experiencia negativa: My current dentist has found that a crown was applied by this practice with a gap in it between the crown and the tooth. So I will have to have it replaced earlier than necessary. They are also not good about communicating when you have payments that need to be made. I understand it's also a patients responsibility to keep up with charges, but I also think a person should be informed at least once via phone or email that there is a balance. Especially if the charge was unexpected.

They have taken me to court over unpaid charges and my wages have been garnished despite the fact that they never once informed me of them in office, they also never called me to inform me, which allowed a lot of interest to build up over a few years. They are good at their work, just keep in mind HEAVILY that their communication about copays and charges is not always clear or concise, stay on top of it always, and if you don't, well you know what will happen now.

Experiencia negativa: Do not go to this practice. The cleanings are fine, but they do not communicate with insurance very well. Furthermore, when my wife needed additional work done, they misled us about whether our insurance would cover a cavity filling. We could have purchased additional insurance if they had communicated with us in advance like we tried to do. Then, they didn't even fill in her cavity correctly, and then failed to fix it, so we are seeing another dentist who is fixing what they did.

Experiencia fantástica: First, let me say this: Finding a good dentist is worth their weight in gold. I booked with Dr. Curry, as a new patient, months in advance. When the day finally came, I made the 45 minute drive and was greeted by a friendly receptionist. (I recommend filling out new patient forms online, unless you have 10 minutes to spare.) After a few minutes, a warm assistant got me through the usual 'new patient' routine. (Our conversation was so easygoing and natural, that I didn't get a chance to notice how quickly we got through x-rays and history.) Once she left the room, I was able to play around 3 or 4 levels of Pet Rescue Saga before she and Dr. Curry returned to examine/clean my chompers, do an oral cancer screen and formulate a treatment plan. Dr. Curry was so sweet and gentle as can be. I will be returning with the rest of my household and make her the permanent caregiver of our oral health. Thanks Doc!!! And kudos to the staff for their friendly and professional demeanor!!! (I couldn't have felt more relaxed at a dentist's office.)

(If you are new in town - go here first! ) Visit on September 25, 2020 was as always great!! The COVID precautions they practice and provide are practical and thorough and well thought out. Their professional atmosphere and procedures makes you feel included in their concern and practice to keep everyone safe from disease and provide outstanding care! My dental visit this Friday was very positive and pleasant. Dr. Curry is a very caring and professional dental physician. She listens and observes and gave me an accurate evaluation and care with assessments and options for my current conditions. Her staff is also always well prepared and provides service in a professional manner. The Curry Center is about the 4th dentist and dental practice I've used since moving here (1996) and I have no desire to see or go to anyone else for my dental care. The best!
