Experiencia negativa: I originally left a five star review, but no one actually did work me.It was just the first time patient exam. I ONLY left the review so I could receive a $10 Starbucks gift card ,which I used happily, but I am not very happy with seeing my girlfriend in pain for an entire month after trying to find answers for this pain by caused This Dentist Office. I listened as she was being redirected and dismissed ,truly disappointed.My experience Dr. Langford was a nice ,would heavily recommend him if options are limited to you for picking a dentist.After comparing questions he asked , treatment and knowledge with the experience Dr. Ahn Nyguen gave my girlfriend, it is night and day. Do more, do better.

Experiencia negativa: My experience with this office has been extremely disappointing. My concern is not just one mistake, but a pattern in how issues are handled after something goes wrong. When patients leave negative feedback, it appears that concerns are not handled professionally or with a focus on resolving the problem. After reading other reviews, I noticed similar complaints involving communication, customer service, and patients feeling dismissed when they experienced issues after treatment. In my situation, I came to this office expecting proper dental care, but after my appointment I experienced ongoing pain and concerns that I felt were not adequately addressed. Instead of feeling supported and having the issue resolved, I felt like I was dismissed by the disgruntled office manager after waiting on the phone for 20 minutes and ultimately told to seek care elsewhere or wait an extended amount of time for help, if you are fully staffed, why would I have to wait for a specific doctor to get off of maternity leave (I’ve never seen this doctor ) and one that I am not comfortable with. Dental problems are not like a small injury that heals on its own. When something affects a patient’s teeth, delays and repeated appointments can create more stress, pain, and potential complications. Patients deserve to feel heard, especially when they did not have these issues before receiving treatment. I hope this office takes patient concerns more seriously, improves communication, and creates better policies for handling complications. Reviews should reflect the full patient experience so others can make informed decisions before receiving care. I will be contacting the board on the behalf of myself and other's health.You can’t block the board

Experiencia negativa: If a business is incentivizing you to leave positive reviews in exchange for free gift cards ..etc. Maybe, Don’t use that facility. At least that’s lesson I’m learning from this. I went in for a deep cleaning and a filling , Something that isn’t new to me. From there, everything went bad. During the appointment, I started questioning my dentists schooling significantly mainly because she was talking about her schooling And her Canadian boyfriend’s dentistry schooling.AND EVEN MORE questioning it because she started digging in my gums.Now I understand what deep cleaning entails I fully went and expecting to experience some discomfort or pain and for background I have had all of my wisdom teeth pulled, and all I took was ibuprofen willingly ..my pain tolerance is high. I never had a Dentist NOT take in consideration the pain may be causing On their patient. Not even are you OK? Would you like to take a break or I don’t know at least checking in. Now that is poor bedside manner ,I don’t know what they call it in dentistry But she sucked at it. i’m moving past the cleaning ..She did my fillings poorly Then accuse me of grinding my teeth, which caused me pain (Ice cold drinks, who ? Not me ) turns out she actually just put my fillings entirely too high, which resulted in me having to make another maiming. And now a month later, She gave me tooth sensitivity I DID NOT HAVE TOOTH SENSITIVITY BEFORE IT. I WAS VERY DETAILED ON MY ISSUES (she never addressed the issue actually came in for just told me we’re gonna look at it)And then they kept telling me I had to keep seeing the same lady Who keeps playing in my mouth. Anyways, moral of the story is, she looks young, Work on her patient manners, And inform her these are people not practice Dummies. Y’all eat some ice cream for me or drink something hot because I can’t.DR. Nyguen.

Experiencia negativa: *EDIT: PLEASE READ!: Im reporting this dentist to the state and local board of dentistry. I encourage everyone else that received unethical treatment to do the same. That’s the only way to end this. If you leave them a bad review or complain about service the doctor will refuse to provide you with treatment. The doctor called me minutes after I left my review to cancel my appointment. These people are liars. They are going to come under this post and lie and say that things happen that did not. It’s their way of trying to excuse horrible service. But I’m not the only one. Please read all of the other reviews regarding this. This dentist needs to be reported for her unethical treatment. Leaving people in need of medical care because we complain about poor service is not how business should be handled. All of the poor reviews are true. I have never ever had a problem with this office. The people have always been very professional and polite, until today. The way that one of their office personnel just spoke to me was so outrageously rude. Because I expressed dissatisfaction with their new payment policy and told them that I would be finding a new dentist, I was asked to hold. Then this rude person comes on the line, I had no idea I was being transferred, so of course I was confused. As I’m trying to explain to her that I don’t know why I was transferred because I was about to make a payment with the other person, she begins raising her voice and says “you will not call up here cursing and yelling”….which I wasn’t doing at all. I called back and encouraged the office manager to listen to the call. Nobody, should ever be spoken to that way as a customer. And I cannot say with certainty that this didn’t happen because I’m black. It’s the same stereotype, accusing a black woman of being angry and saying things I didn’t say just because I expressed dissatisfaction. But I guess I don’t get to do that, like every other paying customer. I hate that I was treated this way, and I’m left shaken by this experience. Nobody should be treated this way.

Experiencia negativa: Worst dentist I have ever been to. I was in so much pain and just had to deal with it. Dr Tran was so nonempathetic to me. It almost felt like she wanted me to hurt. Schedule tooth extraction several days later just to get a call the evening before to cancell saying she thinks I need to go somewhere else. I ended up getting seen the next day somewhere else and got it taken care of then and there and they were so empathetic. Just beware because you will regret going there

Experiencia negativa: I have serious dental anxiety but when my tooth broke I needed to get in fast. Having Medicaid, I was severely limited on where I could go. They got me in next day and Dr. Tran has been amazing working to get all of my teeth taken care of. She makes everything so much more comfortable. I'm so glad I decided to come here! All of the staff is so nice, especially the front desk! Edit as of 05/12/2026: The staff here have always been very friendly, however after the last week +, I will no longer be coming to this practice unfortunately. Dr. Tran filled a cavity that she stated was deeper than her software anticipated and she medicated the nerve before proceeding with the filling. She said it may end up needing a root canal depending on how it heals. I was not given an option for extraction as she'd told me previously she does not believe in extractions on an "ethical" basis. Everything was fine for a week or so but then I started having pain. I came in and she said that wasn't the tooth bothering me, even though that's where it was radiating from, it was a different tooth. She took X-rays and said there wasn't anything showing so we needed to give it more time to see what was going on, especially since at that moment the pain had stopped. The next day, I was in tears from the pain. I called the office and Dr Tran sent in an antibiotic but nothing for pain. Tylenol, ibuprofen, cold, oragel, nothing was working and she said to just do an antibiotic. Carrie, the assistant, was so kind and got me an appointment the next day with Dr. B, but I ended up in the er that night. I was given Percocet and lidocaine balls because I was hurting so bad. The next day, Dr. B did a lot of x rays and scans to determine it was the tooth that Dr. Tran had filled. She wouldn't pull it but offered to start a root canal. I had said I wanted it extracted and she called it a hot tooth, saying that due to infection, it wouldn't numb properly. She said the antibiotics should work in the next 24 hrs or so. She mentioned the filling from the cavity being close to the nerve but that there were no notes from Dr. Tran about what she saw or what have you when she filled it. I was not shown the X-rays or 3 d scan and seeing as I had a road trip that night I didn't want to do a root canal. She told me "jokingly" not to mention extractions again. As the weekend went on, the pain got so much worse. I was physically sick and vomiting from the pain. I ended up at VCU dental for an emergency extraction yesterday morning. They took and X-ray and without hearing what was going on, the dentist knew which tooth it was because he said the filling was in the nerve. I was asked by one older nurse if I was sure I didn't want to try and save the tooth but not in a way that was like she was forcing her beliefs down my throat. In 20 minutes, the tooth was out and my pain was gone. There was no infection seen, at least not enough that would have stopped anesthesia from numbing me. I understand wanting to restore teeth, having your beliefs, and following protocols, but leaving a patient in excruciating pain for over a week is unethical no matter how you look at it. If you don't believe in pulling teeth if a patient is requesting it, you shouldn't be in dentistry. I am leaving this practice and switching to VCU as they were extremely kind. I know I have a lot of work done on my teeth, but I'd rather lose all my teeth and need dentures than to go through that pain again. Being unable to take care of my one year old and not being mentally present for my son's baseball tournament is not acceptable. Begging for help and being brushed off is not good practice. This comes from someone in the medical field. All I can say is please do better.

Experiencia negativa: This place is absolutely horrible ! Not ony was I a patient, I made the mistake of referring my dad (77) for dentures. The dentures look like a 1st grader made them with playdough. My dad paid for everything up front because it was almost the end of year 2025 and his insurance(Medicare) started back over in January , so whatever the insurance paid he would be refunded. We have been trying to finalize his charges on his account since this process started back in December 2025. We are in the last week of April and I was told he still had charges pending from 12/22/25 and 3/31/25. however; the insurance paid the claims 12/30/25 and 03/19/26. Please make it make sense. This is suspect and I will be reporting them for insurance fraud! I kid you not, the exact same thing happened to me except they waited until my insurance expired with my old district before submitting the final bill. I explained all of this during my initial visit that I needed all services completed by the time my contract ended. I too paid upfront and out of pocket and lord and behold, because they decided to submit the claim after the fact, they wanted me to shell out an additional 800 plus dollars. IKYFL!!!!!! Please be aware and check your itemized statements to see what is being billed to your insurance carrier. Once we rectify this bill and my dad gets his refund, he will never return!!!!!! I would not take my dog with one eye and one tooth to this dentist. All they care about is your money not the person.

Everyone was extremely nice, understanding, and gentle. Everything was explained to me as it was done, which is something nobody else has ever done. The office space is very clean and inviting. So far, I'm very impressed and will be back in a week for a cleaning.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give this place a zero I would. I had to cancel my appointment today due to really bad storms and tornado warnings. My babysitter canceled because of this. I called at 8:30am today to inform them I could not make it and why. The lady at the front desk replied with we will do this one time as a courtesy but there was a cancelation fee of $50 unless there is a notice. I then said theres nothing i can do if my babysitter cancels and theres tornado warnings. With an extreme attitude the lady said, "well its our policy." In which i replied "then you can cancel me all together" and hung up. Mind you I scheduled my appointment this past friday for Monday. Even if I wanted to give a notice the office was closed. Also I am not a weatherman. I cannot predict the weather right? I cannot predict if my babysitter will show up... I also cannot predict when my kids will be sick or any type of emergancy...so im basically being told I will be charged $50 no matter the situation... thats crazy. We are coming to you for a service... instead you get snakey businesses trying squeeze any dime they can out of their patient..thats nuts.. what happened to genuine businesses. Also no one reached out.. not a manager nothing... get rid of your receptionist! Shes very rude and from what I can see from reviews, i am not the only one who thinks so. If you see her you will know, its the only receptionist with her nose in the air like shes better than everybody...

Experiencia negativa: Update- I had an appointment scheduled for March 23rd. I got a message March 12 asking me to schedule a follow up appointment. As I already had one scheduled, I was a little confused. When I informed them of this, I was told that the doctor had an emergency and couldn't make that. Seems a little strange to be cancelling for an "emergency" 11 days ahead, if they were going to have a doctor out that day wouldn't they know a while before? But whatever, I get it, things come up. I asked for the next soonest appointment, and they said April 3. I said great, what time, and no one responded for about 4 hours. I then texted back "hello?" And the response was "APRIL 3RD AT 10 AM?" I work in customer service, if I did this to one of my clients I would no longer be employed. Insane response. When I asked whether they had actually just yelled at me through text when THEY didn't respond for 4 hours, the sent back "hi! will April 3rd at 10:00 am work for you ?" Idk if a bot has somehow gotten ahold of their text line... I kind of hope so. A human behaving like this would be of far greater concern. I am so disappointed, I had a really good experience with them in person and wanted so badly to have found someone to complete my dental work. Guess I'll have to go back to looking.

Experiencia negativa: They rushed through my cleaning. I told them my right side was sensitive to cold. They said..."ok" and still proceeded with cold water. Maybe it's me but I've never had a dentist to polish my teeth before they scale them. And then while polishing all of the product flying everywhere, water is flying in my face! I was like " am I being punked?" And after all of that my teeth don't even feel clean! Needless to say, I won't be back there.

I called today 02/17/2026 to cancel my appointment for 02/19/2026 @ 8am and who ever answered the phone stated I didn’t have an appointment. So apparently whomever I spoke with on the 12th of February didn’t set my appointment up. Very unprofessional and I’m very disappointing. Taking my business somewhere that doesn’t talk to me like a child

Experiencia negativa: I live about an hour from this clinic, and multiple times over the course of a few months while going there for a few issues they rescheduled my appointment on me within 3 hours of my appointment time, and sometimes less. Since I'm not a dentist, and therefore don't know all the questions to ask regarding different procedures, I tried to get as much information as I could think of. Without volunteering any helpful information about filling 2 very small cavities on the side of 2 teeth, they turned about 50-60% of that tooth surface into plastic, far more than I was expecting from a pair of MAYBE 20% impacted surface area minor cavities. The last straw for me was when I came back to receive my mouth guard (which had been delayed by multiple weeks, with very little communication). The female dental tech 'helping' me proceeded to talk to me like I was an idiot, get extremely defensive when I asked for the guard to be adjusted because it did not fit right and was pushing one of my teeth out of place, continued being defensive about the nature of the process when I said it wasn't ”100% perfect" and then gaslit me about how the guard in my own mouth fit. Followed immediately by her handing me a piece of paper with a list on it, the second item on the list being ”let us know if you need the mouth guard adjusted". The only plus was that they took my insurance. 1/10, would not recommend if there are any other decent options available. Further more they've absolutely refused to give me ANY additional information about the mouth guard unless I go for an appointment, an hour+ out of my way, which I will definitely not be doing considering how they've treated me as a patient. Considering additional recourse to find a way to make my paid for mouth guard actually viable for me to wear.

The dental assistant was great, and Dr. Perry was WONDERFUL. He explained everything in a way I could easily understand, eased my anxiety, and took the time to talk through the different options available to help patients with dental anxiety. He also clearly explained his recommendations for my care. I’m actually looking forward to my follow-up appointment and the next steps. I truly appreciate the care and attention I received.

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone is absolutely amazing. My teeth were in pretty rough shape considering I hadn’t been to see a dentist in a LONG time. Most of the time I always feel like I’m being judged. But this office did not make me feel bad about the shape my teeth were in. They took their time and got everything fixed up (relatively quickly for the amount of work needed)
