Experiencia negativa: Before visiting, I tried to get all information about this practice and get estimates for a dental procedure. Dr. Compton seemed nice at first, but after the procedure, I was shocked at the cost (more than triple what I was expecting). Not only that, but the procedure failed after a relatively short time. She was told early on about the problems and concerns I was having, but ignored my concerns and even turned unkind. There are much better practices than this horrible office. Don’t waste your time or money. Dental assistants were a revolving door when I visited. Evidently, the atmosphere wasn’t very warm for employees either.

Experiencia negativa: I’d give a zero for this business if I could!! Lyndsey was horrible at placing a crown. When I expressed my concerns over its being ill-fitted, she dodged doing anything to fix that. A nearly $2k expense that didn’t work at all. Within 3 years, this crown had cracked my root and caused a serious abscess!! She was nasty to deal with on top of everything.

Experiencia fantástica: I came to Dr. Compton's practice after nearly fourteen years without seeing a dentist, so I have experience with examination, education, deep scaling, a couple of fillings, and a crown through them. Dr. Compton is highly competent, and the practice is focused on education and patient choice. For me, she was very distinct about what was purely a matter of my choice, and for work she felt should be done, why. There was no pressure at any point. I was particularly struck by the kindness of this practice. They clearly anticipate that an incoming patient might have fears around dental work, and their posture is gentle and patient-affirming from the start. I have also been present, pre-COVID-19, to hear staff working respectfully with a patient who seemed to operate from somewhere on the autism spectrum, and I was extremely impressed. When I complimented the hygienist on the staff's approach to him, she said, "Thank you! He's not so hard. It's just that sometimes it's difficult to be sure he understands and is really consenting." I am so impressed by this practice, and would recommend it to anyone. Update: Now and for years to come I am living in Yorkshire for ten months of the year. In April and October, when I’m back in Colorado, I prioritize getting my checkups from Dr. Compton. Because I’m not going to lose an excellent dentist because of the triviality of living on another continent. Another update: I am so glad to rely on Dr. Compton and the team— and it’s an actual pleasure to come in for a checkup when I’m on one of my Colorado months. Scheduled for April!

Experiencia fantástica: I came in for my annual cleaning this morning. They have a Covid screening protocol, so I waited in my car for them to bring me in. My temperature was checked. It was fine. The hygienist was gowned, gloved and wore a mask. She was easygoing, and professional,which always puts me at ease. I didn’t need to see Dr Compton , but when I do, she is able to answer any concerns I have and very clearly explains things so I don’t leave questioning what I was just told . Great Ralston Rd location. Easy to find. Nice, clean office. I would most confidently recommend this office.

I live in North Carolina and was on a trip with family when an accident caused my lower tooth to break. Not just a little break, a very noticeable piece of my lower tooth was missing. I was calling around to several dentists in Arvada and was unable to get in at 5+ places when an office recommended Generations Family and Cosmetic Dentistry. I spoke with Julie who was immediately comforting and checked with her team to see if they could fit me in. They were able to see me within the hour that I called to help remedy the situation. Dr. Compton and her team were all incredibly kind and understanding. They walked me through the process and were able to fix my tooth efficiently and it looks like nothing even happened. My tooth looks incredible. I still can't believe the amazing service and how quickly the team was able to help me. I was able to enjoy the rest of my trip like nothing even happened. If you need any sort of dental work, I cannot recommend Dr. Compton and her team enough.

You know just because I pay in cash dose NOT mean I'm poor. But these people would rather wait for the insurance company to pay them rather than getting paid the same day.

Well that visit led to the discovery of an additional health issue that required surgery and countless hours in the dental chair. So for someone who went in with a fear of dentists I have nothing but praise for the kindness and empathy of the entire staff at Generations. With their help I've come to grips with my phobias and look forward to a long relationship with Dr. Compton and her staff.

I drove over an hour with a broken tooth in hopes to get some help and she helped refer me to an endodontist in my area within a few hours. They were able to get me in within the same day!!
