Also, I was past due for a cleaning and Warren found a cancellation for me later that day so I didn’t have to wait until August. All in all excellent first visit.

His office and equipment are very up-to-date. Warren, his billing specialist works with my insurance to make sure I receive proper credit, and his receptionist, Robin, always gets me in quickly and calls if there is a cancellation. Taylor and Melissa are empathetic and gentle.

Experiencia negativa: Friendly staff other than the dentist, who has the bedside manner of an alligator. I'd still recommend avoiding as they messed up one of my fillings and Kneib was incredibly rude through the process of trying to fix it (had to ultimately get it fixed elsewhere). Plenty of good dentists in Erie elsewhere.

Never got any work done because I had to move my appt to the following week because the meds they gave me to take for my anxiety made me feel uncomfortable to drive. I called to let them know, they said I can come the next week for the filling. I then later get a text saying the dentist feels uncomforable with MY SITUATION AND WILL NO LONGER SEE ME. LIKE WHAT?! SO ODD AND NOT OK! SORRY I'M NOT GOING TO DRIVE IF I DO NOT FEEL OK TO DO SO! PLUS HE WANTED TO PULL 2 TEETH I KNOW CAN BE SAVED AND WAS ACTUALLY GETTING A 2ND OPINION. Experiencia positiva: The staff is very professional, my children had only seen a mobile dentist within the past few years, resulting in some work that needed to be done. Initially, Dr. Kneib was great with my kids. The office had to reschedule my 7 year old's appointment due to not having what she was going to need. The new appointment was at 7:30 on a Monday morning. After driving 45 minutes to this appointment, they were met with an anxious 7 year old and we were met with an irritated doctor who "didn't have time to deal with her emotions" and then stated that they had already had an emergency for the day and had someone call off. Both of which were not my child's fault and had they not moved the appointment to a 7:30am appointment, she would not have been tired and emotional. Also, 7 years olds ARE emotional. The front desk staff was apologetic, which is not her fault. 20 years in health care and I have never been as disgusted with a doctor as I was that day. We ultimately ended up finding someone closer to home and is able to deal with my daughter's emotions.

Experiencia positiva: I came to Dr Kneib after my daughter in law recommended this office. Now she had extensive work done by Jared but when I started with this office Jared was no longer there. I needed extensive work done and Dr Kneib knew I was self pay. After many appointments and at least 10 implants I was very satisfied. At this point i had moved to Florida and was flying back & forth for appointments adding to the total expense- my choice. After all implants were completed and remaining crowns placed I was satisfied. Maleia was an excellent assistant and advocate. But when one of his implants failed he only agreed to remove it and said he would replace but the crown and my travel was at my expense. When he removed it the entire palatial (sp) wall & buckle was removed leaving no bone left for an implant. Therefore it meant I had to have bone graft surgery- twice. My surgeon here in Florida was excellent and felt so bad that I had to go through this and felt Dr Kneib did an unprofessional job of removing the implant. After the second surgery I had enough bone to have another implant. Another 4 months later I could get the crown. But since that tooth was out for almost 2 years the crown next to it had to be replaced as the gum had pulled away from it since so much time elapsed. After the thousands of dollars I paid Dr Kneib I feel like he could have offered another solution rather than just replacing implant. Because once he would have examined it he would have known I needed bone grafting- which he would have definitely charged me for along with all the appointments between Erie & Florida. Don’t get me wrong he did an amazing job on my restorations but I feel he wronged me on his implant that failed. We are talking thousands of dollars to him- more than my new Camaro cost. So thank God I found a surgeon and an awesome Dentist here who realizes I am totally self pay. I believe follow up and resolution is very important for your clients. Word of mouth is very important to any business.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT take your child here. My daughter got freaked out from the laughing gas and started to panic. The nurse laughed at her and told her to stop being dramatic. Then when my daughter went to remove the mask to stop the gas, the nurse grabbed her hands and held them into her lap so she couldn’t move them. This was the most unprofessional thing I’ve seen in a very very long time. I will not go back and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. And there’s no need for the office to comment their “so sorry you feel this way. I’m sorry you felt the need to post this.” Or any other bs you feel will help you look better.

Showed up for my new patient consultation as well as a cleaning right afterwards. Dr. Kneib came to get me. He was super nice. Super friendly. Walked me back. I told him what I was there for and immediately one of his assistants interrupted me and said no, that's not going to happen. We're going to talk about that. Melia was not very nice told me that I was not getting my cleaning done today. That they had canceled it and we were going to have to reschedule at a later date. At first she gave me no explanation. I was pretty upset because I work a lot and have a very busy schedule and I had already had to reschedule my appointment once. She finally told me that there was an emergency and my cleaning time was the only time that they could get this emergency in. I told them that I was frustrated and very concerned because I had heard the woman at the front desk say that they're first available appointments were in December. That would have been almost a year since my last cleaning. Dr.Kneib was the one that jumped in and told me that they would make accommodations because I was still pretty upset. I fully understand that emergencies happen. But it was extremely disrespectful of them to cancel or altered part of my appointment without informing me. If they would have called me, I would have been more than happy to try to reschedule this appointment in a reasonable amount of time or been able to adjust my schedule and my PTO, but no I had to take 2 hours of PTO to make this appointment work because I'm a new patient. I had to reschedule meetings. I had to drive 30 minutes across town from work. I don't get reimbursed for the hour of PTO that I didn't use for the appointment that I didn't have. And while I do appreciate that they are getting me in first thing in the morning because I have meetings...my 17-hour work day just got a lot longer just so I can get my teeth cleaned. I would never disrespect Dr. Kneib's time like this. It's very frustrating that they don't have any respect for my time. **** Update****** Thank you for explaining, but I do fully understand "this world". My mother was a dental assistant for YEARS and I worked at that office growing up. I even job shadowed both dentists at the office for a week as I got older. Like I said in my original post... I understand emergencies happen. I understand surgeries go long or don't go as expected... BUT YOU COULD HAVE CALLED. That is all I'm saying and that is all I needed. You could have made a simple phone call to let me know an emergency happened and changes needed to be made. That is respect and care for your patients. That is customer/patient service. I would have been able to edit my limited PTO and I wouldn't have missed a meeting. I even would have been more than happy to reschedule if needed. It also would have been nice if ONE person would have apologized for the changes/inconvenience. Melia told me the emergency called in the morning. You had plenty of time to give me a heads up. That is what I'm saying is disrespectful.

My daughter went for a routine cleaning and left in tears due to the unprofessional and unethical remarks made by this dentist. She was charged a copay and left with NO cleaning; only a quote for the upsale of invisalign braces. This is the first appointment she has went to alone as a college student and thanks to the ill bedside manner of this man, it will be her last. A formal complaint will follow.
