Experiencia negativa: This is the third time I’ve been to this dentist in 3 years. I refuse to go unless absolutely necessary. The dentist herself is extremely unprofessional in the way she speaks and treats her patients. She overbooks herself putting herself behind and rushes patients out the door. She is very rude and lacks any empathy, compassion or any human emotion really other than irritability. She had scraped out a filling “by accident” during my very first appointment with her and she said it wasn’t a filling it was tarter. Then I was scheduled to come back for fillings, I showed for the appointment and she told me she didn’t have time to do it today. That happened twice so I just didn’t bother making another appointment. Fast forward to this week, a year later. I asked her to replace a broke filling and she didn’t clean the area before applying, then it was so massive she had to shave it down and it still wasn’t shaved down enough so I feel like I constantly have food in my tooth. And it’s been 2 days since I’ve been to her office to get that filling and it’s already broken. She makes the environment incredibly uncomfortable and unfortunately they are the only office around my area that takes my insurance. Her assistant is the complete opposite from her. She is absolutely wonderful high spirited and kind and actually listens and cares about any concerns me or my husband may have. Unfortunately that’s not enough to make me want to take another trip to that office again.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a cleaning yesterday and hygienist was very polite and did a great job. Then had an extraction today and she was very up front and matter a fact with my care. I genuinely appreciated the care and patience she had for me. Definitely will be back for my dental needs!

Experiencia negativa: At one visit, my cleaning was performed by the dentist herself and was very painful. Without any warning or numbing, she began drilling into my teeth during what was supposed to be a routine cleaning. When I stopped her to ask what she was doing and told her I was in pain, she stated she “needed to do a deep cleaning of the old fillings” which had never been discussed beforehand. During another visit while I was 7 months pregnant, I declined X-rays due to being pregnant. Both the dentist and hygienist responded in a hostile and unprofessional manner, raising their voices and questioning my decision, stating they “couldn’t even do a cleaning without X-rays because it’s like going in blind.” I was ultimately pressured into signing a waiver. At my current dental office, I was informed that deferring routine X-rays during pregnancy (unless there is a specific concern) is standard practice. I was also fitted for a mouth guard for TMJ at this office. The guard I received was poorly made, missing contact with approximately a quarter of my back teeth. It was sharp and uncomfortable. When I raised concerns, I was told this was intentional because “those teeth must not touch,” without any further explanation or adjustment. I later presented with severe molar pain and lingering sensitivity to cold. Despite significant pain (requiring around the clock ibuprofen and acetaminophen and preventing me from eating) the dentist took a single X-ray, did not perform a thorough assessment and dismissed my symptoms, advising only to use Sensodyne toothpaste. I sought a second opinion from an endodontist, who performed appropriate diagnostic testing (including cold testing and percussion) and diagnosed an obvious need for a root canal. After completing the root canal, I was instructed to return to this office for a crown placement. Despite my repeated communication that my insurance (Medicaid) would not cover a crown and my willingness to pay out of pocket, the office delayed treatment for approximately two months while repeatedly attempting prior authorization. During this time, I emphasized that timely crown placement (ideally within a couple of weeks) is important to prevent fracture. When I finally received the crown procedure, I was given no local anesthesia. When I questioned this, the dentist responded dismissively, stating that numbing was unnecessary after a root canal. The procedure was extremely painful. The temporary crown placed was bulky and uncomfortable, and I was told no adjustments could be made. The permanent crown was not placed until roughly two months after the root canal, and the tooth ultimately fractured and had to be extracted. Since switching to a new dentist, I required another crown following a root canal. This provider used appropriate local anesthesia and confirmed that numbing during post root canal crown preparation is standard of care. He expressed concern upon hearing about my prior experience. Additionally, I recently received a bill for a procedure completed years ago that I had already paid in full and have documentation for. When I called to dispute the charge, I was told it represented an insurance balance; however, I had not used insurance for that procedure. Overall, I found the dentist to be unprofessional, dismissive, and at times hostile toward both patients and staff. Based on my experiences, I would recommend staying far away from this office. I am not sure how the dental board has not revoked her license.

Experiencia fantástica: Great team! My kids and myself are patients here! From making an appointment to being seen is effortless. I hadn’t been to the dentist is a while and my fillings had started to come out and damage my teeth, I was in so much pain daily. After being seen the dentist took her time explaining what my issues were and the course of actions needed. The dentist took her time cleaning and refilling all my old fillings. My quality of life rose after my first appointment. I just went back for a cleaning today no more pain and no cavities!!! Thank you team for taking your time with me, explaining procedures and listening to my concerns!

Experiencia negativa: I walked out of the office with a giant hole in my tooth so I turned around and told the receptionist I hadn't actually had my filling completed. I couldn't have been nicer about it. The dental assistant rolled her eyes and said "we didn't even work on that tooth." I said "well you did something to it." The dentist did come back and filled it but it abscessed and had to be pulled about a month later. Not necessarily her fault but I do wonder if the tooth could have been saved at that point if I'd gone to someone else-guess I'll never know. She also spent the entire time she was working on me bickering with the dental assistant about abortion. She kept saying "I would never tell a man what to do with his balls." I don't necessarily disagree with her I just didn't think it was the most appropriate topic of conversation to have with an employee while a patient was in the room. Edit: I don't think "overheard" is the right word when the dentist and the dental assistant were literally inches from my head and I really can't imagine what context was missing from that conversation to make it appropriate. Do better.

Experiencia fantástica: They were amazing the women there were very friendly and understanding of my discomfort with mouth work. I had 4 root canal’s and crowns put in and they were amazing with their care towards me. I will definitely be staying with this company for my dental cleanings now that I can smile comfortably and happily I send them the biggest smile I can!

Experiencia negativa: I had a negative experience at Saratoga Dental. I used their services for several years because this dental clinic accepts Medicaid. The doctor often answered my questions about my teeth in a very dry and unwilling way. Many times I had to wait extra because they were backed up, and once they even had to reschedule my appointment after I had already arrived. Several hygienists were very nice and careful, but a few times there were no hygienists, so the doctor had to do the cleaning. Those were the worst experiences. The water splashed everywhere, and I had to wipe my ears and even the back of my head. The doctor would sometimes lean her arm on my face or accidentally hit me with part of her robe while working on my teeth. A few times I was so disappointed that I swore I would not come back, even if I was in pain.

Experiencia fantástica: I’m very pleased with the professionalism of this dental office. After being jerked around by others, it was a relief to finally have such a great experience. The dental hygienist did the most thorough cleaning I’ve ever had, truly impressed and very happy with my visit!

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely worst office i hace ever experienced in my 24 years of living very unprofessional not clean what so ever there is rust on almost all of the machines moñd growing from the water spouts añl the cabnits and drawers are broken or damaged, the main dentist wore regular clothes never was gowned, they never even explained the process or what was wrong with my teeth i had to get two crowns on my two front teeth and the temporarys they put on my teeth were horrible they did not care she made them so bulky i couldnt close my mouth nor eat correctly but since i have medicade they dont care sny questions you ask she takes offense to and spazzes out as if your discriminating her and her practice i ended up having to call the cops from a manic episode she had because i asked to see my teeth before being cemented in as thre would be nothing they could do once cemented her assistant really tries to handle her attitude and its sad how shes treated none of them know what they are doing nor follow nys standards do not i mean do not go here im glad i was able to get into another office and thats where it was confirmed she should be shut down i have an ongoing case to sue her and her business be careful ! Dont be afraud to speak up patients have rights !

Experiencia negativa: Believe all the bad reviews and avoid this place at all costs. The dentist, Dr Mehdi is rude and unprofessional and her behavior is utterly atrocious. My second time in the office was for fillings. It was my first time getting fillings so I was nervous and didn’t know what to expect. I waited 40 mins in the chair until they came in. Nobody told me what to expect or how many cavities I was getting filled. Dr Mehdi walked up to me and said “open, I’m numbing you” then shoved a needle into both sides of my mouth with no warning whatsoever. It was painful and left me feeling anxious and confused. She also never gave me any warning before drilling into my teeth. I had tears going down my face (I have TMJ and it was extremely painful to keep my mouth open that wide for the work) and she said “this doesn’t warrant crying”.. I couldn’t believe it. The front desk and hygienists are all perfectly fine, but I’ll never come back here because of how poorly I was treated by the dentist.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT GO. Absolutely unprofessional office staff. After a rapid cleaning, the dentist entered the room and didnt pick up a single instrument, simply looked at X-rays and told me a painful tooth was "fine" and to just use "some Sensodyne" - needless to say that's not actual dentistry. As I wanted a second opinion, I needed my 360 X-rays emailed to me. I have not been able to reach this office since my cleaning. According to their answering machine their voice mail is also conveniently "broken." I have sent three texts to the number they provided with no answer over a two week period. I had to have a second set of X-rays done at my own cost due to their incompetance and had another dentist inform me that the problem tooth had significant decay and that was what was causing my pain. It needs a new post and crown - not "just some Sensodyne" DONT GO HERE. I CANT STRESS IT ENOUGH.

Experiencia negativa: If you read the reviews below, believe the ones that are negative. Those reviews will be the majority of your experience at this dental practice. This isn't a review of a one-time experience but of trying to give a place a try over the course of a couple years. They constantly will cancel your appointments and the administration is extremely disorganized. They used to have dental hygienists but now your cleanings are done by the actual dentist/doctor. The hygienists used to be very rude but I don't even think they have any there anymore. My first experience which was just today with the dentist cleaning was extremely extremely rough and rushed... Man handling my bottom lip and just rough with the tools. I have never experienced anything like it before. She was also extremely rude. Find a place that values their patients. This place won't be around for long....

Experiencia negativa: Awful. Rude and unprofessional. Complained about how much my ins would pay for the work I needed done, kept saying it wasn't enough. Was refusing to do any work on 20 year old crowns that were slipping off..after almost a year of just random cleanings when the appts were for something else or them canceling appts last min and rescheduling. I informed them I was no longer their pt since they were refusing to do any work I needed done. The dentist called me right after freaking out and that she was kicking me out lol. She's a narcissistic loon. Stay away!!

Experiencia negativa: 10/10 bad experience would give no stars if possible. Upon pulling up to the office a patient outside was loudly yelling and threatening stuff because of poor quality of service. After waiting 30 minutes to be seen ( we arrived early) the dentist was rude and unprofessional. I went in with my mother who has memory issues to help keep track of her records as I always do. The dentist refused to see her if I came in the back and said no one else was allowed to come in. So we left. Will never come back here. I recommend you don't either.

Experiencia fantástica: I had two teeth extracted on June 2, 2025. Everyone in the office was friendly, professional,and compassionate. I have anxiety disorder and they helped me get through the whole procedure without a panic attack. Dr. Mehdi asked if I was ok throughout the procedure, was very gentle, and professional and compassionate. I thank her for all she and all the staff did for me. I definitely had a great experience at Saratoga Dental!

Experiencia negativa: I went here a few times over a couple of years, the hygienist was amazing and sweet, but the dentist.. omg she’s horrible. Unprofessional. Rough. Horrible bedside manner. Every cleaning I was wincing from the pain, my gums get absolutely chewed up from her and they were swollen and sore for almost 2 weeks after. I mentioned wanting to talk about something to help me grinding my teeth at night and she said ok, then after my cleaning she just goes to put some weird foamy stuff in my mouth and I’m like wait what is this for? She said “you asked for a retainer this is to make the retainer “ with a whole attitude , and I’m like ok well we didn’t talk about it yet and you didn’t tell me anything. Not to mention when I actually got the retainer it didn’t even fit, it was like crooked and I couldn’t close my mouth comfortably. But Like why would she think it’s ok to just shove random stuff in someone’s mouth without them knowing what it is? And I guarantee someone in her practice will comment here to tell me it was somehow my fault just like she’s doing on every other negative review.

Experiencia negativa: 100% contacting an attorney, I would not go here if your life depended on it. I went in to have a single filling and wound up having ten teeth filled at once, when x rays did not support this procedure. This dentist basically went rogue and destroyed ten of my teeth to the point where the structure and integrity of the teeth are suspect to last. I do not know how any dentist can repair my mouth, but my attorney will 100% figure out what will be needed to do exactly that. DO NOT GO HERE!!

Experiencia negativa: For anyone coming here to give her a bad review , report her to your insurance company ! File a grievance with your Medicaid or other provider. She will no longer be able to participate with that provider if she gets to many complaints against her. Worst dental experience of my life! Pulled 4 teeth and didn’t let me rinse my mouth once . Now one of the fillings on my front teeth are stained from the blood from extractions, and my family is now paying out of pocket for me to see a real dentist. She also did a filling in the back of a front tooth and did not use a composite tooth colored filling. That filling is now going to have to be replaced also because it is clearly noticeable . I will be contacting a medical malpractice lawyer . Update : I am writing this review over a year after my experience in that office . Less than a week after having 4 teeth pulled , and receiving two fillings both”fillings” had failed and fallen out . I had 2 other separate dentists office that were appalled at what she did to my mouth . One dentist claimed he has seen many patients from her office come in with the same exact types of problems . I walked out of that office that day and cried in the car at the abomination she had done . I also failed to mention previously, after pulling four teeth she did not prescribe any antibiotics which is common practice after extraction . I had 2 different abscesses where she had extracted teeth . If I had never saw a better dentist , those would have went untreated and I may not be here to share my story . PLEASE if you value your teeth , your general health , or your mental health AVOID THIS OFFICE . Do not make the same mistake I did , this could have been a very serious situation had I not sought out alternative care .

Experiencia negativa: Receptionists are very nice! One even gave me her headphones to use for when I got my fillings done! Unfortunately, the dentist has terrible bedside manners and did not seem to understand why I wanted to numbed up! She even tried to do my fillings(one legit being stated need a root canal that she still drilled into!) without any numbing besides some number gel. (The first time she just said "open up" with the numbing needle aimed for my mouth! No!) DO NOT GO HERE!

Experiencia fantástica: This place is actually really good. They got me in same day and Dr. Messi worked on my cavities and temporary crowns. Pain is gone same day....people need to understand she is working in a small area in your mouth with limited vision and fighting your tongue and mouth while trying to not hit anything she's not supposed to. I gave her a hard time trying not to swallow while she was working on me because my tongue would move her hand.....she was still very focused and just asked me if I could stay still for just 2 minutes.....and we got through it with normal communication. I totally understand how this can be frustrating with every patient I was just one and didn't make it that easy for her. This is a high stress job and very little thanks given Im sure. I appreciate this place, the owner and all of its workers. Thanks again! 3rd time there today.....very friendly, professional and quick. No pain at all either. Experiencia negativa: BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS! Absolutely terrible all around. Any positive review for this place has to be based on support staff and not the actual practicing dentist. This dentist was beyond rude with no bedside manner. If you try and question her or call her out on anything she will do her best to make you the problem. If she was not communicating what was being done and was rude but the dental work was good I would’ve been ok with that. But the work it’s self is absolutely horrendous. I ended up going to a real reputable dentist to check Shazia Mehdis work and they were horrified. She did 8 fillings? In about an hour I believe.. I am not 100% positive as nothing was communicated to me before hand. Everything about the fillings was wrong, she left decay behind, open margins, did not color match the fillings, hit teeth next to the one she was drilling.. etc. This was proven with X-rays a month after I left Saratoga dental. The amount of decay underneath the fillings was not scientifically possible to form in the time between X-rays. She did 10s of thousands of dollars in damage in my mouth. This place needs to be shut down sooner than later! Shazia Mehdi is ruining people’s teeth daily (that we only get one set of)with no remorse or empathy, she lacks common human decency. Please listen and go elsewhere! I didn’t and I will regret it for the rest of my life! I felt very desperate and was just happy a dentist would see me, ignored the bad reviews and went.. please don’t make the same mistake. I now have a fake tooth on every tooth she touched which was very very expensive. The decay in my mouth WAS fixable before ms mehdi touched my teeth. No one should ever call this lady a doctor!! You’re better off not seeing anyone and finding another place. Trust me, I learned the hard way. “At the level of medical malpractice” was the good dentists exact words. Her behavior is also terrible but bad dental work can have lifetime repercussions so I chose to focus the review on that.

Experiencia negativa: The owner of the Saratoga dentist is by far the worse person I ever dealt with in my life I had a cleaning two weeks ago that went smooth by one of the workers we got along. She’s very friendly. They said come back in two weeks because of my fillings had to be done so today it sit me down she comes right in the room doesn’t say anything says open up so I thought she was just looking all of a sudden I feel a bit sharp poke and it hurt really bad. I pulled away because I didn’t know what was going on. Decides to say that I’m scaring her this and that yelling at me I’m I’m a patient and you are speaking to me is so wrong. I’m like is there someone else I can talk And she was totally on my side and explain it to her about the last time this happened they give you the option I’ll be in put to sleep or numb she didn’t want to hear that she said I’m not working on him get them out of here and I’m like really that’s how you speak to people to her worker she’s looking at me and you can just tell so I’m like all right give me papers. I want all my paperwork never coming back. Worker was so scared to say anything because it’s her job and don’t wanna lose her job but behind her bosses back to me and she saying I’m so sorry I’m so sorry because she knows how I was spoken to. It’s disgusting and then out front when she was giving me my papers her boss is still going and me and her worker are just talking friendlyshe tells her worker getting in the back now you can tell her so scared. I never seen anything like in my life and this lady should not be in business at Saratoga dental on geyser Road.

Experiencia positiva: Usually the Dr. and staff are Ok. They answered any questions I had. The first time I was there I had to wait an hour in the waiting room then a half hour in the dentist chair. The staff is friendly enough.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been a patient for about a year now, I've had nothing but good experience everytime I have to go. I even had a dental emergency at one point and they were able to get me in the following day! My hygienist is always friendly and tells me what their doing before they do it, making my experience more comfortable. Dr and staff are great to work with, clean and friendly environment!

Experiencia negativa: To many people. The dentist was in a rush and doses not take the time with the patient.No was at the desk when I arrived.waited a few minutes before someone came to the desk.

Experiencia negativa: This was my second visit. First visit went awful but I thought it may have been an off day and thought I would try it a second time. First time a panaramic X-ray was taken and then the assistant began to take full individual X-rays. I explained that you do not need both and she stopped. When the cleaning was done the dr did not look in my mouth and yet charged the insurance companie for a full exam. This time, I waited 40 minutes to be seen then after bite wings were taken the assistant wanted to take additional X-rays of my front teeth which I declined. Again the dr did not do an exam and I questioned why. She became very hostile and said looking at X-rays is the exam and since I declined the front teeth she could not do an exam. She then said I was terminated as a patient.

Experiencia fantástica: I had my first appointment today. Looking for a no judgement zone. As I had 3 pregnancies and trying to find a dentist that takes Fidelis had put that burden upon me. They were great fast and friendly for the most part. I’m unsure of my next appointment(treatment) I’ll keep posted and review then. Thank you

Experiencia negativa: I had some really great hygienists here over the years but the last few times I had my regular 6 month cleanings they were done by the dentist herself and they were the most painful cleanings I have ever had! After my last cleaning, I left the place in tears and my mouth was sore for days. It was just a routine cleaning, no issues. I also had Medicaid dental insurance at the time, so I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it like other patients mentioned, but I was left traumatized from these cleanings and will never go back here.

Experiencia fantástica: I suffer from severe anxiety and The dental hygienist and her team are very understanding they took the time to help calm me and make me feel comfortable enough to get what I needed done...they explained step by step so that i wouldnot be scared and were very gentle. If you want great work done by a great person and her supporting staff I highly recommend this place.

Experiencia negativa: Unbelievable. I've never been so disappointed in a dental practice. I will begin with the hygienist was a sweetheart and my favorite part of this experience, she did more than the "dentist" who didnt even introduce herself so i dont know who she was. She came in and asked if theres anything bothering me and thats when i told her i have a hole on my bottom back right tooth. She pulled up the xray photos the hygienist had just taken and pulls up a photo of my back LEFT bottom tooth that has had a filling arguing that it was my back RIGHT bottom tooth that has a hole and that there's no hole it's just my filling cracked. That tooth never had a filling and the hole is clearly visible. She didn't even try. Then asked if I wanted a root canal. You are the dentist, I don't know what it needs, you tell me! Did you get your license from a cracker jack box?! I am soooo mad. I wasted two hours of my time for nothing, not to mention I live over an hour and a half away and was hoping this was my chance to finally get help. I do NOT recommend this place!

Experiencia negativa: My appt was made over the phone for 1:30 and was asked to show up a half hour early. Text reminder a week prior was appreciated and also said 1:30pm. Another text reminder day of said 2:00pm. I showed up roughly 1:15pm unsure which to go by. No bathroom available in office, I waited until 2:15 and was directed to go to a nearby gas station. I returned 2:25pm Brought into the room at 2:30, my cleaning was quick. No notation on how my oral health was looking, or any advice on what should be better. Unusual for a dental office. The dentist came in for maybe 1 minute. I let her know I occasionally have some sensitivity in a back bottom tooth. I let her know I had braces. She said so what happened? You relapsed? I had said I wore my retainers for some time (I got my braces off 10yr ago) only my bottoms have slightly shifted over the years. I was told I need braces that will fix the sensitivity issue I am having. (Odd?) I left at 3:00 so I was cared for a total of 30 minutes between X-rays, hygienist and dentist. The personalities weren’t very warm, that was the all around feel of the office. Not just one individual. I would not return for care. They take my insurance, but I would rather pay out of pocket to see my regular hygienist/dentist. Upon considering leaving a review I’ve also seen the dentist herself commenting on other reviews speaking of what the patient did or did not pay for? Unprofessional.

Experiencia negativa: I will say the dental hygienists are very good. Doctor Mehdi has zero people skills. I went there for two years, and left recently. After the cleaning, when the doctor usually checks your teeth, Dr. Mehdi only checked my teeth the first time and not once since. I would not use her, there are plenty of dentists in the area, and my experience with Dr. Mehdi was never a pleasant one. The only reason I gave them 2 stars was the hygienists are very caring, professional, and nice, not Dr. Mehdi.

The doctor, Shazia Mehdi did such a precise and state of the art filling and reconstruction of my teeth-AMAZING WORK and love it. Post-op care was very impressive. Experiencia negativa: Had the absolute worst experience while I was there, she's utterly rude and very disrespectful, she didn't like what I was asking her and became violent towards me and assaulted me by pulling my hair as I tried to walk away! You can tell her staff and scared of her and walk on egg shells when she enters the room. Never have I been treated this way by a "professional". Will not ever go back there again.

X-rays showed an bunch needed to be removed and she refused because she didn't feel like pulling them. She was extremely rude, told me I needed 4 teeth pulled without even opening my mouth or introducing herself. Then if you question her opinion she immediately gets defensive and thinks she’s the best dentist around and will tell you how she’s been doing this for years and she knows it all. She then said she won’t do the root canals for the teeth she said needed to be pulled so I didn’t “blame her” later on when they don’t work out. WEIRD! So she said if I want to find someone else to do them that’s fine. So I DECLINED any extractions at that time and mentioned how I know I need fillings..she was trying to rush me this whole first appointment. Upon only looking at the X-rays and I HAD to ask her about cavity’s and fillings and showed her my mouth. She said “come back Wednesday 9am” gave me a referral for when I found a dentist to do my root canals. Fast forward to the week after, I come into my apt I get sat into the room and all seems good until the dental assistant made sure to confirm I was in for fillings and 4 EXTRACTIONS! I said absolutely not, I declined them last week and said I only wanted fillings done. I want to try to save my teeth or get a 2nd opinion even. The dentist came in and asked why I declined the extractions and I said again I want to try to save my teeth and find someone who will do the root canals (who know what me and her discussed a week before and she even gave me a referral for) she then had the needle to numb my mouth in her hand, while proceeding to tell me how she’s booked out for the next 6 months so if I need them pulled I will need to find someone else.. okay no biggie, I closed my eyes anticipating her to put the needle in and she then tells me “just so you know the one tooth is not savable” (keep in mind I talk with my hands a lot it’s a problem of mine) so as anyone would do I replied back to her telling me something and I went to point up to the tooth I knew she was most likely referring to and I TAPPED her wrist/forearm with my forearm and she yelled “OW!” And then told me I hurt her and I’m really strong?? She yelled so loud and acted as if I punched her in the face or I stabbed her with the needle itself…It was an honest mistake on my end and I know I should’ve known better with the needle in her one hand. I told her I was sorry and I talk with my hands it’s a problem of mine, then she proceeded stabbed my mouth with the needle without any numbing topical. I kept my mouth shut about it and took the pain. After she finished numbing me she was behind me doing something, so I again told her how sorry I was and asked if she was okay, since I was so taken back at first I didn’t ask if she was okay the first time…and she told me to stop talking so neither of us get hurt and it done and over with, I was asking if you were okay because you said I hurt you and yelled in pain. She then asked me about medical history and as I was telling her something I look and she disappeared and later claimed she needed to answer the phone and she would only be gone for a minute. It was several minutes, long enough for me to then get so overwhelmed with embarrassment, I got up and walked out. The next day I had my mother reach out to ask for a copy of my X-rays and other medical records to be sent to my email. It was strictly professional on our end until the dentist told my mother that I should not be so sensitive and continued to say how I hurt her really bad and I need to learn to not talk with my hands etc. She was extremely unprofessional over the phone and didn’t take any accountability for how she reacted. Then says how she’s very busy and only had an hour to do my apt and she’s understaffed etc. That is NOT my problem. If your THAT busy where you can’t give clients your full undivided attention while in the room WHILE PERFORMING SERVICES, or as simple as giving the time to these people to address their specific concerns and needs then don’t overbook your days! Made the 30 minute trip the day of the appointment. To be told how I shouldn’t have even been able to make an appointment. I missed 4 appointments in 2018, I can’t see you, while the receptionist is sitting right there and I’m making the arguement why didn’t I get a call, they had my number because I was receiving text alerts of the appointment and all. The most embarrassing and unprofessional dental experience I have ever had. Then trys saying she said she’ll do it if I swear to make all my appointments..no lady..try again.. had 2 other patients there as well. 1. the receptionist didn’t do her job and 2 .why not call and tell me ? 3. Am I 12 or a grown man.. 4.communicate better at your business ya’ll not hard!

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT COME HERE. Tldr: botched dental work & 2/3 fillings fell out. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I came here after finding out it was one of the few places that accepted my insurance, and I didn’t do my research prior which is on me. I came in for a cleaning, which was fine. The hygienist was lovely. I spoke so briefly with the dentist herself, that I didn’t even know she was the dentist. I thought at first she was no frills, but soon realized she’s just rude. I came in the following week, 10/16, to get some fillings. I was anxious, as I do not like the dentist, and she had absolutely zero bedside manner. When my procedure was done, she just left the room, leaving my questions to be answered by the assistant. When I was younger; I had a filling done and I was only numb for a couple hours. After these fillings, I was numb for 8 hours & my friend who works in dental told me she likely used a nerve blocker which is only supposed to be used for root canals and extractions. After the numbness wore off, I was in excruciating pain that lasted for weeks. I couldn’t eat, had pain in my ear, my jaw. Couldn’t sleep. It was unbearable. I went to a place that was reputable for a second opinion, where the proceeded to tell me she damaged my nerves & they’d have to redo my fillings. Well, 1 month after my work done at Saratoga dental, I had a filling fall out, leaving exposed roots, which was extremely painful. I had to go pay out of pocket to have it fixed. I was not going to write a review, and just move on, calling it a loss. Until tonight, whilst eating a SALAD, I had another filling done by Saratoga Dental fall out. Which means now I have to go pay another $300 to go get it fixed. This woman clearly does not have any pride in her work, and should absolutely not be practicing medicine. The last 4 months have been dreadful, have left me riddled with anxiety, and I wouldn’t wish it on anybody. Avoid this place at all costs.

Came back a few months later for fillings and both of them have already fallen out. Got one redone and was told i needed to brush more. (been brushing my teeth after every meal) I need to get the other one filled but don’t even wanna go back here. Dentist did a very rushed job, when i called her out on it, she said “ i’ve been doing this for long enough, i know what i’m doing”. I don’t think this is true considering all the reviews i’ve read and from having my own worst experience. 10/10 would NOT recommend

Experiencia negativa: Had a crown put in back in July and when the filling came out in the tooth next to it i went back to see about getting it fixed and while asking her a few questions about the work she did she became hostile and wouldn't let me speak to clarify what I was trying to say or wanted and to answer my questions and told me that if I could pay out of pocket I could see a fancy dentist then when I asked for my xrays and a receipt she told me she didn't like my demenor and that there were only women in the office and was acting like I was being threatening and still I tried to just come to a solution about my tooth and as I was leaving I reiterated what she said about pricing and when I said ok then I'll see you she said to me oh now you are threatening me? This woman is very rude and at points delusional and shouldn't be allowed to practice dentistry in my humble opinion I understand she accepts Medicaid and most likely deals with unruly patients from time to time but that is in no way an excuse for treating paying customers I wouldn't recommend her to anyone

They have easy parking, the staff is very friendly and competent, and I’m so glad to have found this dental office. 2nd visit May 2023, awesome experience once again. The dentist and her staff are highly competent and efficient. I can’t wait to come back again in six months, which is something most people don’t say about going to the dentist. The location is perfect since we live in Ballston Spa, and it only takes 10 minutes to get there and there’s plenty of parking too. I’ve come here twice now in 2023 for regular checkups and cleanings. No need to look elsewhere as I’m satisfied & impressed! Scheduled another appointment for May, 2024.

We went into a dirty room for fillings on my daughter, had toothpaste everywhere from previous patient and counters looked like they haven’t been cleaned in a long time. Infection control practices were definitely not a concern there. My daughters filling fell out within 5 hours and when she went back to have it put back in, the doctor told her that she didn’t want mom back in the room because she didn’t know how to keep her mouth shut. Very rude and nothing you say to a minor about their parent when she’s already nervous. Do not want to return to this office with any of my family. I worked as an assistant for years and this place is scary in many aspect, number 1 is infection control though. I now have to go to another dentist for cavities that I believe I have that she did not care to find in her very minimal exam. No explorer, no time spent. Just very unprofessional

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going here twice a year for 15 years. The Dr. Is very caring, very smart and an excellent practitioner of dentistry! It is easy to make an appointment for your semiannual teeth cleaning or to have needed dental repair. She is very conservative in diagnosing repair work and won't try to sell you a service you don't need. She was always immediately available for emergency services and I have never had a long wait during the 30 plus times I have visited her office. Don't hesitate to to surrender your mouth to her gentle expert hands!

Experiencia negativa: While I wasn’t the patient, I am writing this review on behalf of my boyfriend who went on the 9th of October. He immediately called me after his visit (he was a new patient expecting a cleaning and a single filling which turned into multiple fillings day of). He described that the dentist was impatient and rude when he was indicating he was in pain during the filling for his cavities because he wasn’t numb enough for the procedure - she was denying he was in pain. The dentist also wasn’t using suction during the procedure so he was choking the entire time and she wasn’t allowing him to sit up to spit what she was not capturing, out. When he left he noticed that she left some composite on a front tooth (the cavities were not even near the front teeth) and he wasn’t able to close his mouth because of it. He spent the last week until he could get into another dentist in severe pain. During his dentist appointment today, the new dentist had to completely redo all of the fillings Saratoga Dental did. She stated that one of them the actual cavity was just filled over and could have caused severe health issues and that’s it’s horrific to think another practicing doctor did this to a patient and let them leave their facility. He is now paying out of pocket to fix what this dentist did to him. 0 stars if it was possible.

Experiencia negativa: AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE IT IS THE PLAGUE! This is the first and only review I have ever written. I had an appointment a couple of weeks ago just for a checkup and cleaning. I should have known this place was bad when I called and the receptionist was not friendly at all. I made the appointment and showed up. I got so many phone notifications about my appointment and calling when I got there. When I got there no one answered the phone after multiple calls. I walked in and no one was at the front desk. I waited so long before the hygienist walked in to help. Then I sat for 30 minutes before the dentist even showed up. My appointment was for 8:30 and the dentist showed up at 9. After she walked in two more people showed up and they both got served before me. As I was waiting another gentleman walked in who got a filling the day before that fell out overnight. The dentist did not remember who he was even though she was the one that did the work on him just the day before. Finally, after about an hour I looked at the reviews and they were horrible. I was going to leave and finally they took me back. I took x-rays and then got seated in a room and waited for another hour to see the hygienist. Her exact word when she walked in was "your still here?" I then proceeded to get the most painful cleaning I have ever gotten. I have never bled so much from a cleaning. Then I waited for another extended amount of time and the hygienist came back in and told me I was good to go. I HAVEN'T EVEN TALKED TO THE DENTIST. I asked if the dentist was even going to look in my mouth and she said she looked at the x-rays and I was all good. Regardless, the dentist probably wouldn't even have been able to see if I had a cavity because she could even see her computer screen without having her face 2 inches from the screen. I have read so many reviews of people saying they go to this dentist and their problems are gone. Your problems are not gone, this dentist just can't actually see your problems. DO NOT GO HERE THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. I WILL NOT BE BACK.

Experiencia negativa: Immediately walking in I had a feeling all the bad reviews were accurate. The receptionist looks absolutely miserable and her attitude does not make up for it. She is extremely rude for no reason. She was calling my insurance on speaker and calls me back 40 minutes later telling me to call them for her because she could not get ahold of them. I told her I was just going to reschedule and she tells me the doctor doesn’t do that. What? The whole experience was so bizarre I left. I spent my time waiting looking for a different clinic to go to.

The only person who was ever friendly was the hygienist I don’t know her name, everyone else seems like they don’t want to be there at all and are not personable or friendly at all. The dentist never introduced herself or tried to get to know me at all she looks like she rolled out of bed and went to work. I had fillings done here by two different dentists, one of them was extremely painful and she didn’t give me a break even when I expressed that it was painful and started shaking from anxiety. I’ve since gone to a new dentist and he said he will likely need to redo two of the fillings because they don’t look right and it’s concerning to him. Overall bad experience.

Experiencia negativa: No stars.! I went in thinking it was gunna be a cleaning and a decision about my wisdom teeth but nope. I was very nearvous and not ready to have my teeth removed, and when I had no choice I asked for my significant partner to be in the room to be there for comfort they said no the assistant will be there to comfort me.! A stranger.! The only person there whom was nice was the assistant dentist. My experience there was herrible.! The amount of pain I am in is not right. They did not even prescribe any medication for the pain I will be in and they called 911 because I was close to passing out from the amount of shock my body was under from having 3 teeth pulled at once.! And kept bringing up my anxiety and said I should be put on anxiety medication without even knowing the reason as to why I do not wish to be put on pills for any of my diagnoses.! This was the worst place to go to.! If it wasn’t for my insurance I would have never went here.!

Experiencia negativa: I would give this office a zero star if possible. First, their receptionist is extremely rude. She swears in front of patients about other patients. Their first appointment went smoothly for a routine cleaning. Then came the follow up for fillngs. One, I was never advised as to how man fillings my children needed because unless you are the patient you are not allowed to remain in the waiting room even if they are minors. Secondly, my daughter suffers from high functioning anxiety, and she was already anxious about this appointment. When I called to confirm I was advised that they would be provided a numbing agent on their gums before the Novocain was administered. Lie. Then they started drilling and my daughter made them aware that she could feel the drilling and it was causing her pain. She had texted me that they were not listening to her, again she's 15...I came into the office to check on her. The receptionist was rude when I let her know I just wanted to check in on my daughter. From there it had escalated when Dr. Mehdi came in. She was rude, condescending, and called my daughter a liar about feeling any pain. My daughter was in tears....tears. She has sat through oral surgery and did not have this outcome. My daughter stated she just wanted to go home because she had had enough. The Dr. told her to stop being disrespectful in front of me. I advised her not to parent my child as she did not say anything disrespectful, she was stating she wanted to go home because the procedure was causing her pain and discomfort. Then she wanted to lecture me about her setting boundaries and that she could not talk to her like that. I was advised that she had wasted enough time on my daughter and that her filling should only take 10 minutes to complete. Well considering they were trying to "save" her tooth, I would think that filling would take longer than 10 minutes. She did not even put the temp filling in and left my daughters tooth exposed. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. She has immediate openings for a reason. Read the yelp reviews too for a better understanding of this office, the "care provided," and treatment of patients. She needs to be reported and probably out of the dentist profession because she is unprofessional and does not care about her patients.

Experiencia negativa: Saw this dentist in 2012 and was given novacain told her it was not working and she persisted on starting anyway then halfway threw stopped cause I was in pain and couldn't take it went back to see her recently and was in alot of pain she didn't ask why I was there didn't talk to me about my options was complaining that I filled out multiple charts cause I told her I had been there before and made more work for her to do took x rays and started scraping my teeth I am now in more pain and looking for a different dentist my first experience with her was why I stopped getting cleanings in the 1st place and then to ho back and be in pain and feel attacked sitting in her chair and then being told why don't I just get all my teeth pulled very unprofessional and poor bedside manner never going there again!!!!!!

While working on my teeth, she used my dental bib to completely wipe her face and resumed working as if it was nothing. Rude and unprofessional at least. Continued to spill water from the dental instruments all over my face and down my neck. When I asked for a napkin, she told me to get up and grab one myself from the drawers. Not only that, but had me waiting in the chair for two hours while she helped patients that came after me with later appointments. Shazia Mehdi doesn't explain what she is about to do and just grabs your jaw, mumbling to herself as she expects you to follow along with her every move. Prior to this, I had to pick up a retainer for my sister and made an appointment to do so. We had to reschedule so I called Saratoga Dental and Shazia Mehdi told us an appointment was not necessary although the office worker told me it was mandatory. I asked if she was sure and she responded with, "She doesn't know what she's talking about" and assured me I did not need an appointment to pick up the retainer. On the same day, I get another phone call with someone telling me I need to schedule one and cannot get the retainer without one. Not only does she lack respect with her patients, but with her own staff as well. Unapologetic, impudent and lacking any sort of customer care. Made me feel discarded and disrespected - I will never be returning. I feel bad for the front desk women, they seem nice, but as a whole, do better Saratoga Dental and learn what courtesy is before taking your name to such heed. Veneration is given when it's received.

Experiencia negativa: Awful Office. Secretary has no idea what she’s doing and is extremely rude everytime I have talked to her. I’ve had a root canal that needed a referral and x-rays sent to an endo that was able to get me an appointment for the root canal. I sent an email of the referral sheet that was provided by the endo 2 weeks prior to my appointment (mind you if they did not get this referral 2 days before my appointment it was therefore canceled). The endo then called me a couple days before that there was no referral, so I called saratoga dental everyday that week making sure they sent it and each and every day they had not, I gave them the email they needed to email it too with easy instructions and never did it. My root canal then got an infection to wear I had to go to urgent care to get an antibiotic. My appointment is on thursday, my endo had to cancel my appointment because saratoga dental did not send the referral and x-rays. I was nothing but respectful on the phone each time, I give respect where it’s given and this place has no respect for their clients. I called today and the doctor told me they could not send it to endo but could email it to me, then told me I gave them the wrong email however I EMAILED them the referral and they confirmed they had it so they HAD my email. The doctor told me I was 21 years old and stop talking to her like a women because I was born in the 2000, not sure what age you need to be a women but i thought that was when you turn 18. I’ve had many experiences with dentist and I’ve never felt so unheard or disrespected. This place should be shut down for the lack of care for their patients and the ignorance the doctor and secretary has. Will have to say I met one dentist there who took my x-rays and she was very sweet and the most helpful. I hope she goes somewhere better.

Experiencia negativa: Most disorganized and unprofessional place I have ever dealt with. Got to my appointment on time, then waited one hour to be seen while the waiting room piled up. Called four times over three weeks to have my referral and ex-rays sent to the periodontist she said I should see. Nothing was ever sent. Then called again the morning of the appointment to see again if they had finally sent it over as they said they would the day before, and they tell me I have to come pick it up. Is the fax machine broken? I don’t get it. Also obviously I was charged for the X-rays they took and so will be charged again when the specialist has to take the X-rays again because Dr. Medhi they won’t send other over. Never going back.

Rude, didn't even examine my teeth, I had to try to show her myself because she had no interest. Because of moving and covid I had no dentist for 5 years, so she didn't even tell me if I had cavities, and I had concerns that I had atleast 2. I need a referral but now cannot get one because no one has returned my calls or emails or picked up once. It's very bizarre.

Experiencia negativa: I've never had such bad experiences with a dentist or business in general. I was in so much pain during a routine filling and they closed their office for over a month without notifying me - found out when I showed up for my appointment and there was a sign on the door. Looking for a new dentist ASAP.

Experiencia fantástica: It’s worth my 20 mile drive because my appointment is always on time, the staff is very professional and polite. Dr Mehdi cares about her practice, I would recommend Saratoga Dental to everyone.

Experiencia negativa: Honestly terrible. I came in because I had a cracked tooth and facial swelling. The dentist ended up doing a x-ray and confirming that I have an infection and need a root canal and multiple extractions but will need to find another dentist because she’s leaving the country. Said she would prescribe antibiotics but never did. Im writing this review from a hospital bed because my infection got worse (due to not getting antibiotics when needed). But hey lesson learned, now I know why she was able to get me into her office so fast. Honestly I don’t think anyone should come to this office for dental work.
