Fantastic experience: The Doc, dental hygienist, and the office manager are great. They are friendly, caring, and patient. The Doc doesn’t advertise as being gentle but he is very GENTLE and he understands that there may be a little angst when a client goes to the dentist. He is good about giving me informed about a procedure and walking me through the process; I like that. He is also very cognizant of the final look of the procedure; his goal is to have my teeth and my smile look great. After he completed a difficult crown on me he said, “would you like to see it? It really turned out nice.” I like a dentist that takes pride in his work. The dental practice and the dentist are good by me. I am not the final authority on this practice but I can tell you that I had not seen a dentist for 2 1/2 years due to the pandemic, so I had some dental work that had to be done. I ended up spending a little bit of money with this practice and I don’t regret anything. They did a great job and my mouth feels great again.

Called in with extreme pain from a wisdom tooth and they were able to fit me in to get it looked at, and were able to remove it that day relieving me of a lot of pain. I healed excellently and quickly. Appreciated them checking in on me to see how I was doing and to answer any questions I had.

Michelle in reception worked with our schedule to set up our following appointments and reached out when helping make sure our insurance was used to it’s full benefit. My wife and I adore the entire staff and Dr Fuehrer who recently took over the practice from Dr Nielsen. The staff is knowledgeable and explains all the procedures to be completed and what is or is not covered by your policy. We are very pleased and will continue using and supporting Elk Ridge Dental for our dental needs.

Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to the dentist in years. My wife and kids said they enjoyed their visit at Elk Ridge Dental and guilted me I to making an appointment for a cleaning. I’m not afraid of the dentist or violently anti-dentite or anything like that ... I just never prioritize seeing a professional if nothing hurts or bothers me. I did however feel guilty that it was seriously like 5 to 7 years since my last cleaning. My dentist experiences in the past have been less than stellar. Most try to sell me on braces, whitening products, and fancy dental equipment. I had one guy drill for a filling with no anesthesia. Pretty sure an F bomb slipped out but with all the pokers and prodders in my mouth it probably sounded like a drowning octopus ... “Fwupfish grglr grl “ or something to that effect. Anyways, enough about me ... I am clearly not the ideal dental patient. Let me tell you about my experience at Elk Ridge Dental. Leading up to my appointment I received several helpful emails and text messages to remind me about the visit and instructions to follow. Normally I find these things annoying but their messages were clear, helpful, and well timed. So far so good. On the day of my appointment I showed up and called the office to let them know I was here ready for my tooth chiseling. You see, with COVID-19 they don’t want to let in any rabid 7 years over due for their cleaning, germ infested strangers into the office without the proper precautions. I can appreciate this and was happy to wait outside until they were ready. When they were ready I entered the office and was greeted by three of the most angelic dental professionals I had ever seen. There was an aura about them. I couldn’t see faces due to the masks, but I am sure they descended to work on angels wings. Michelle was holding the door open for me and greeted me warmly. The office was spotless! They clearly take the cleanliness of the patient rooms seriously. The equipment looked brand new and there was a tv above my chair with my favorite celebrity chef on. Rachel Ray was making stew. I love stew. Actually I have no clue what she was making but I am craving stew and felt it added to my review. Michelle was fan-fricken-tastic! She was friendly and didn’t make me feel like a loser when I told her how delinquent I was about my dental practices. She also only asked me questions when I didn’t have a mouthful of tools. Don’t you hate when a hygienist asks complex questions when you have a mouth full of metal and spit!? Well Michelle didn’t do that much to my delight. I got xrays and a thorough cleaning. She quickly got to work, Jack-hammering 7 years worth of filth from my crusty pie hole. She didn’t dry-heave once during the whole operation! I did get the “importance of flossing” lecture as expected, but to my delight I had no cavities! Dr. Eric was super quick and professional after my cleaning. No complaints there. They got me scheduled for my next visit in 6 months and sent me home with a fancy toothbrush, toothpaste, and of course a pack of floss that will more likely be used as emergency fishing line as opposed to helping me with my gum line. Am I happy with my visit? Heck yes! Should you check out Elk Ridge Dental? Only if you want to be worked on by gentle angels who will leave your smile sparkling and your gums, well ... gummy!

The staff are friendly and all of my cleanings have been thorough and pleasant (as far as dental visits go!) :) The billing process is handled expediently and they file with insurance.
