I appreciate this SO much. I've struggled with my teeth my whole life and it's disheartening to always feel like I'm failing to keep them healthy despite my best efforts. Dr. Sheppard made me feel heard and was so good at explaining his recommendations and timeline and worked with me within my insurance and budget constraints. My second appt was fillings and the process was painless. My teeth already look so much better. I HIGHLY recommend!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sheppard has been providing me with superior dental care for over 25 years. He is absolutely the best.

Negative experience: Dr Sheppard has absolutely lost my respect... I made an apt and was unfortunately unable to make it so I called and left a message to reschedule. By the time I guess they decided to check there messages (a week later) they already put me down as a no show. I never got a call back so I called them. The lady at the front told me she had to talk to the doctor to see if she could even reschedule me and I was very confused and about 20 minutes later, I get a text saying to call her back to reschedule the appointment. It took me a couple days to call back because i have a life so about 3 or 4 days later, I get a letter in the mail releasing me as a patient.... WHAT??? This office is so confusing it takes them weeks to call you back and I are very unprofessional. What doctor shepherd did to me and my family is horrible and inexcusable. He treated me like I did something wrong when I absolutely did not.. So I would suggest if he is your dentist, do not miss any appointments at all, because he will release you like your piece of trash.....

Fantastic experience: I am not a patient of Dr. Shepherd, as my son is a dentist and I get my dental work done in Seattle. But I’ve known Dr. Shepherd for a long time and consider him a friend. I had a Cap cone off of my front tooth. Totally unexpected and I was unable to get to Seattle to get it. Repaired at my regular dentist. I called Dr. Shepherd’s office, Tiffany, the receptionist, was extremely nice and extremely helpful and extremely kind. Dr. Shepherd, not only agreed to recement the tooth where I had lost the cap, but they made an appointment for me within two hours. Dr. Shepard did a wonderful job of repairing the cap that had come off of my tooth. He was pain-free, and made it very pleasant experience, explaining every step as he went along. Fantastic experience: I am from out of town, broke an inlay on my tooth and was in a lot of pain from my tooth cutting my tongue and cheek. I called 4 dentist offices in Lewiston and while nobody had an opening, they were the only ones that worked hard to help me. I could tell things were very busy, but Tiffany spoke with Dr. Sheppard and they squeezed me that afternoon. It was very impressive how empathetic they were of the situation and how hard they worked to take care of me. They were highly personal and professional and didn’t over charge me. Bottom line, if you’re looking for a dentist, this is the type of team and dentist you want.

Gave a quick run down of past problems , like drilling a hole through my gum. The staff and Dr. set me at ease . At the follow up I did not have white knuckles! Fantastic experience: We both come here for all of our dental hygienist needs. Everyone here is great and incredibly helpful! All of our appointments are as scheduled and we never wait more than a few minutes in the chair. We have never left here with any mouth pain after a cleaning or a procedure-- everyone has incredibly gentle hands. Don't forget to get some of their chapstick, it's freaking amazing!
