Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Bass River Dental. First and foremost, this is an honest practice. They don't tell you that you need work when you really don't (this has happened to me with other Cape dentists). All the staff( dentists, hygienists, reception and dental assistants) are friendly and efficient. They obviously take pride in their work, and it shows!

Fantastic experience: Great experience. Basically painless work done on crowns. Dr. Tim and Melissa work as a great team. They can even make crowns using scanning computers and a computer controlled machine to produce the crown from a blank. The people in the office from Lynn (office manager) , Diane (Hygienist/cleaning), Melissa (Dental Tech) to himself, Dr. McAdams all assure you have a positive, safe and satisfying experience.

Fantastic experience: My second visit today to have a cleaning. The blizzard wreaked havoc on their schedule as people cancelled (understandably). They also had staff issues due to the snow. They brought in a hygienist from another practice (Holly!!!) to fill the gap and she was great! Even though Bass River Dental is part of a large company with multiple locations it has a very local feel with friendly staff. I would highly recommend this practice!

Fantastic experience: Just got back from my cleaning at Bass River Dental, some new faces in there, David at reception was super nice and friendly and helpful, and Lauren did a great job with my cleaning, she was very personable, and informative, and the unattached new tools she used made the process seem less intimidating or cumbersome, I'm not really sure how to describe it. Definitely a great visit.

Positive experience: Love Dr. McAdams and the dental hygienists Diane and Kelly. But! What happened to Lynne at the front desk?!? She was always so welcoming and helpful. And now she's gone! Looks like they now have 2 or 3 people to take her place. I've been going to this practice since it was independent and Dr. Carlson was the only dentist. Sadly, now it feels like another big corporate business.

My very first procedure (only fillings and cleanings for the past 60+ years) I’ve been very fortunate to not have had the need for a root canal, crowns, etc! Today Dr. McAdams made certain I was much at ease and the procedure was completely painless. Highly recommend them for all your dental needs!

Fantastic experience: Lauren was awesome! Haven’t been to a dentist in a couple years, and she made the excessive concrete grinding as easy as it could possibly be. The staff and hygienists were all extremely nice and knowledgeable.

Negative experience: Made an appointment with Bass River months ago as a new patient. I took the day off and days before told me they would have to reschedule. They gave me a new date, which I changed my work schedule again for this appointment, only to have them call the morning of the appointment to say hygienist is out sick and they would have to reschedule. I called Barnstable Dental Associates and they took me as a new patient 2 days later. Should have contacted them before I wasted months with Bass River Dental. I would have given NO stars but this will not allow it to post with none.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Bass River Dental for 5+ years and have never had a bad experience between different dental assistants or different dentists over the years. Everyone has been very kind and accommodating, especially as going to the dentist can be a nerve wracking experience for some. Lynn the receptionist is my favorite, she’s a gem and deserves a raise- her compassion to others doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s hard to find a good place to go on cape cod, and they exceed expectations. The establishment is always clean, and everyone makes you feel welcome.

Fantastic experience: I do not like the dentist at all and due to that and insurance issues I have let my teeth go. Every visit I have had has been good experience from tooth pulling to fillings the doctor is patient and understanding. The front office works with you and gets to know you they are always nice and very kind. This is the best office I have been to for a dentist so far

Fantastic experience: I like most are not in love with a dentist office. However Dr McAdams and his team run a smooth and professional office. The doctor takes the time to make the rounds to say hi and make you feel comfortable. The nurses and receptionist have smiles and are knowledgeable . They carry out their work swiftly and professionally so you’re in and out We all like the out part!

Fantastic experience: I have been so impressed with the Bass River Dental team from the first minute. Lynn at the front desk is kind, professional, and accurate with cost and time estimates for work. Kelly is my hygienist. She has a great sense of humor and does thorough work with a light touch! Melissa and Dr. McAdams worked with me most recently to fix a previously filled tooth that had started to fail. They were able to make my new crown on site. They were so gentle and compassionate. I have had TMJ surgery in the past and my jaw tends to get quite sore with dental work. They offered plenty of rests and were conscientious about positioning to minimize soreness. My crown looks and feels great and my jaw was not sore for the work done. Thank you for your great care!

Fantastic experience: Lynn and Marlene are AWESOME! The whole staff are! Dentistry makes me as nervous as cotton candy in the rain, so upon entering the office I began to feel dizzy and weird. I asked for some water, which they provided immediately. Both Lynn and Marlene showed great compassion and concern for my well-being, which I appreciate more than I can say. Once in the chair, the whole experience was as pleasant as sitting in a dentist's chair can be. I can't recall the name of the lovely lady who looked after me (I'm so sorry!) but she was as fantastic as the receptionists. The dentist who came to check me out was also awesome, but sadly I cannot recall his name either. I'm terrible with names. I feel safe and good here. I also feel like my concerns will actually be addressed instead of dismissed like at previous dentists. This is not something I think ANYONE ever says, but I'm actually looking forward to my cleaning in September. Now that says something! Who the hell looks forward to going to the dentist?!

Fantastic experience: I moved to the Cape during Covid and was traveling over 1 1/2 hours to previous dentist. My husband found this dental group and was able to get me a spot to transfer here. The front desk staff was warm, friendly and professional (Lynn the office manager, Marlen). My intake was with Diane Neff who used updated tools for a thorough evaluation and cleaning. She explained what she was doing along the way and communicated any area of concern so that I could manage my home cleaning more carefully. Dr. Tim McAdams was surprisingly personable and attentive to my examination. The entire experience was exceptional and will definitely let my friends know about this stress free process. I usually hate the dentist; I loved it here!

Lynn is knowledgeable about insurance and Kelli just gave me a good cleaning and some good advice. They are busy but I’m sure that’s because they have good reputation.

Fantastic experience: I went to Bass River Dental yesterday. I found the dentist and all the staff wonderful. I was not one of their patients at this time but had a terrible problem tooth. They got me in quickly and solved my problem. I would recommend them highly. I can’t believe that I am saying this but it was a pleasure to go to the dentist !!!!!

Fantastic experience: Became a patient a little over a year ago and got a long overdue crown done today…I had been quoted a min and max price, booked a 2 hour appointment and dental assistant Laura talked me though every step while the Dr was professional, efficient and thorough. Crown ended up being a breeze, ended up with the min pricing, and honestly walked away with a better bite than I walked in with. A+…can be hard to find good dental care on the Cape- this is it.
