Fantastic experience: I cannot believe how much Dr. Hutchison really cares for his patients. I’m not one that “enjoyed seeing a dentist however Dr. H was so sincere and compassionate with me! He and his staff were amazing

Fantastic experience: Melissa is the best hygienist I have ever had. I used to bounce around from office to office but I have stayed here for years now because of her. Everyone has always been professional, helpful, caring, prompt, knowledgeable etc. The facility is clean and welcoming with accurate billing. Melissa has such a pleasant demeanor, is so gentle, makes the right level of conversation, spends a lot of time doing a thorough cleaning, remembers me and our prior conversations. I literally leave the office feeling so relaxed and calm, which is nothing I have ever experienced at another dentists office before.

Dr. Fitch is thorough and never misses a thing. This last visit I met the newest addition, Dr. Hutchins, and he fits in like he’s been there for years. He explained everything before he did it, which I appreciate—especially since I already walked in carrying enough flossing guilt to last a lifetime. Him and the the team checked on me multiple times to make sure I was comfortable. They were thoughtful and accomodating. They took photos as well as xrays to help explain anything they needed to. He took his time listening and also explaining things in a way that was easy for me to understand. He laid out my options and noticed something other dentists have not noticed before. I highly recommend Dr. Fitch and his team!

Fantastic experience: Best dentist and staff in San Luis Obispo. Super friendly and accommodating. Myself and my whole family go there because they care they take with us. We used to all go to different dentists but with the gentle touch they use in cleaning and the thoroughness of Dr. Fitch and his staff we are all patients now. Great hours and couldn’t recommend more. Thank you to the staff and Dr. Fitch for all the great care. Side note it’s been years now, and they are still wonderful. And still using them for everything and all the family too.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Fitch is fantastic. He only suggests treatments when necessary, whether for practical or cosmetic reasons. Everyone is very friendly at the office too. I love how Dr. Fitch and his staff explain what happens next in each procedure so that there are no surprises and I can stay comfortable.

Fantastic experience: I've been happy with my experience here. The hygienists are thorough yet gentle. Dr. Fitch has a patient and amicable bedside manner. Front desk staff are accommodating. Front office, back clinic areas, and bathrooms are clean and kept up.

Negative experience: So sad and disappointed by what these people did to my teeth. Came in too many times to count to get a chipped tooth fixed and left feeling worse than before. They filed down bottom teeth that weren’t even affected by the chip and when I said I was not satisfied they said there was nothing they could do. Whatever you do, do not come here they just want your money.

Fantastic experience: The dental technicians at Broad St Smiles are very competent and -- in my opinion -- very gentle. There is always some discomfort when getting teeth cleaned, yet the professionals at BSS are very good at what they do and minimize discomfort better than just about anyone else who has cleaned my teeth. Fantastic experience: The doctor and staff are so amazing. I called for an urgent appointment as a new patient and they told me to come on over and be seen. In my moment of pain and fear of the injection in my mouth for numbing the doctor and his assistant were so kind and supporting. I have my next appointment scheduled and even brought in my dad after my appointment to get him scheduled for routine care.

Very attentive and they make sure the right decisions are made when any issues with my teeth come up. Even though I have moved 3 hours away, I still keep my same dentist. It’s worth the drive.

My mother is 78 and has had a stroke with limited speech. My nephews had never seen a dentist. They are 18 and 22. Our dental plans are suited to our needs.
