Fantastic experience: I went to Champlain Smiles one week before a wedding with a broken front tooth. The Doctor and staff were amazing! She educated me as to why it likely failed and was not properly fitted in the past. Not only was the practice able to get this fixed for me on short notice, it looks cosmetically better than it has since the injury. They made my family and I repeat customers for the forseeable future.

Positive experience: My dentist of 20 years retired, so this was my first visit with a new provider. The office is beautiful. Everyone is very nice. I thought I would be getting a filling today as that's what I thought they quoted me approx. $230 for, when I told them on the phone what my problem was. Come to find out, The quote was for evaluation and 2 xrays. I filled out paperwork, got 1 xray, the dentist looked at it for 5 seconds and said yes, you need a filling. I paid $169 for a ride in the chair and the opportunity to schedule an additional $300+ filling. My former dentist would've done it all for $150. I am shell shocked. Guess I need to get with the times.

I can not comment on your specific experience at Champlain Smiles due to HIPPA regulations, however, all of our patients are always presented with treatment plans with all prices fully disclosed prior to all procedures so that everyone knows the cost associated with the proposed treatment before any work is done. At that time they can choose to schedule to have the work done at Champlain Smiles or look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Champlain Smiles for several years. Dr. Graves and her staff are incredible! They are so friendly and professional. I went in with tooth pain and they worked together to find the cause and a solution. They make their patients comfortable by letting you know exactly what they are going to do. I had a crown put in today, Dr. Graves made the experience easy and painless.

Positive experience: The pros: the assistant that had me register and then did a full set of xrays was great..friendly and helpful ..answered my questions ( even if i didnt like answers) ..the place is very clean, comfortable. The dentist herself.. was nice enough .. no warm feels but professional.. I was hoping for some temp option to my dental nightmare.. but no.. and quoted prices that were way out of my range.. ( so def cons are the quoted prices( I am sure that I can find lower elsewhere).. this place was the one dentist equiv of high peaks dental. And ?? When did dentists stop taking insurances.. as in private self purchased insurance..ads for dentists online misleading... as this place has been "out of network" for 2 years.. all insurance. So.. nice place .. great dental assistant but way too costly, need to pay out of pocket.. and no payment plan.. as with other dentists their idea of a payment plan is "care credit".. I dont qualify..and if I did..i would hesitate to accept as i have heard pretty bad things.. so I shall proceed on my quest to find affordable care.. ( ?canada, mexico? If all offices are this expensive)

We do still work with many insurances and do except their assignment of benefits when those insurance companies are willing to work with our office. Unfortunately, the dental insurance industry is very unfriendly to small businesses, sometimes paying the same amount or less than they did for procedures in the 1970s. As for care credit, it’s a great option, but you have to understand how their financing works, something that we can go over with you in great detail.
