Negative experience: I had an 11am appointment, for which I received 4-5 text reminders. I arrived more than 15 minutes early, checked in with the receptionist. There were 2 other people in the waiting area when I arrived. I waited while at least 4 others came in and checked in. At 11:30 I was the only one still waiting. I had other stops to make and an appointment scheduled at 1, so I could not wait any longer and I rescheduled my appointment. I can understand getting behind 10-15 minutes, but 30 minutes! And I don’t understand why others who arrived some time after I did were taken back ahead of me. The receptionist was very nice, and apologized for the wait, however I think that 30 minutes late is not acceptable.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Van Zanten is amazing. Although he wasn't the one I saw today since he was out for the week, the office got me scheduled for the very next day. I don't even remember the other doctor's name, but he was wonderful. In fact, if I hadn't been too nervous to have four teeth pulled without anesthesia, he was ready to take care of everything that morning. He had an excellent bedside manner, and the entire staff was as kind and caring as always. They've been taking care of me for the past five or six years, and they always get me in quickly when I have a dental emergency. I've never had a single issue with billing, and everyone in the office is friendly and compassionate. I was really impressed with the new doctor today, too. They truly care about their patients, and I highly recommend them.

Positive experience: Their customer service was excellent they even got me in a few weeks early and then they called me the day of my appointment and told me that I needed to be there by 4:45 p.m. instead of 5:15 I was there at 4:30 and signed in but apparently they didn't sign me in because they let me sit out in the waiting room until after 5:00 p.m. and the dental hygienist told me they just sign me in So yeah I'm not pleased but I will go back for the rest of my dental work

Fantastic experience: Last week out of the blue I walked into Dr. VanZanten’s office to try and establish a dentist for my dental needs. My dentist had recently closed his practice, and I was in need of a new dentist. The office folks were very helpful and said they would put me on a list and try to get me in as soon as possible. They called me a few days later and helped me with an appointment. My appointment today was far and above what I had expected. Everyone at the office made me feel like I had been coming there for 20 years. The hygienist that cleaned my teeth was very professional and friendly. We had a nice chat during my appointment, which made my visit very pleasurable. Dr. VanZanten is the most cordial and professional person you will ever meet. He made me feel comfortable, made sure I understood my dental health, and what I could expect going forward with him and his awesome staff. I would highly recommend Dr VanZanten and his staff for all your dental needs.

Fantastic experience: I love this business and the staff! When you first walk in, the front desk staff are courteous and very kind. They check you in promptly and keep you informed of your wait time. If there is a delay, they inform you of this. Then you meet either your dentist or your dental hygienist. The dentist is very knowledgeable and friendly. My personal hygienist was amazing! She talked to me like my voice mattered, and when I was in her chair, she made me feel important. She listened and addressed my concerns. I would recommend this business.

Negative experience: Definitely not the same experience as being at Dr Nickells Office. Not to happy about getting a text saying that I will be charged 50.00 dollars for a cancellation under 24 hours. I understand that to a point but circumstances do come up in life. I would like to say to Dr. VZ , so if I have an appointment at 10am and you dont start with the appointment until 1015am because your running behind do I get a 50 credit? I think my time is just as important as yours. Just some advice, I know your running a business but some understanding, people skills in your office area, and maybe taking some advice from Dr Nickell on handling some of your future patients you might gain some valuable and educational knowledge. RESPONSE!!! Well sorry Doc VZ that I struck a nerve with my honest review, however it sounds like you need to find a new massage therapist or up the appointments to relieve some of your anger issues. Let me know if you need help finding one I know plenty. The way your conducting yourself I would say Dr Nickell will leave in September and take all her patients with her and probably make you think a little better about your practice. A little criticism and advice shouldn’t make you fly off the handle, that just shows what kind of person you are and business your going to run.

Negative experience: I haven't been to Vanzantin in awhile. He's awesome! But the blonde hair chick who was doing my teeth sucked. She was staring out the window humming while she was burning my gums with whatever she was doing. They also drilled through my good front tooth and wouldn't tell me and just filled it in. Now im stuck with a crown due to my front tooth breaking cause there sloppy work. Whoever that blonde is needs fired. Ik alot of people who complains about her. I miss the old crew of ladies that was there when Burleson was there. Them ladies was professional and awesome! Kathy who uses to work the front desk was the sweetest soul!

Negative experience: DO NOT recommend this dentist OR this office. My family has used this dentist office for years... I called today bc my daughter has a issuse with her mouth and was told they cant see her bc she has missed to many appointments.. like what? WE HAVE NEVER missed and appointment. Only one time when they called me to say I needed to reschedule bc the dr would be out of office. No phone calls was made to me about any missed appointments. Lady on phone didnt have "time" to deal with me asking questions about why this was the case .. just find a different dr. Truly upset that we was treated this way without a real reason.

Negative experience: The only reason I visited VZ was I have been a long time patient of Dr. Nickell. Otherwise I would never been there. The office staff leaves a lot to be desired. They were borderline rude and not helpful navigating pre-authorizations. They either lost, misplaced, overlooked or just ignored info from my insurance provider. This drug on 6 months after the root canal done in preparation for a simple crown. Instead of assisting with the insurance, they offered to cancel my appointment and made it abundantly clear numerous times that I had to self pay for treatment which I agreed to do and they still were negligent in assisting. …. So, I will return but only because of my long time relationship with Dr. Nickell, otherwise would not waste a moment with this money grubbing non patient focused corporate fiasco. Oh, never once during my conversations with them did enquire as to my dental health or discomfort, their only concern was MONEY.

Negative experience: Was told they would not accept a copy of my insurance after showing up and wanted payment before being seen my insurance covers 100% so I left without being seen and now finding another dentist Dr Nichols is a GREAT dentist but the new office she is in has terrible people in front office
