Fantastic experience: This morning I had my cleaning with no issues and was able to have X-rays and exam today. I met with one of the new doctors , Dr Rodriguez and she was wonderful. Also I may add the hygienist was awesome. Thank you all for a great visit.

Fantastic experience: I was expecting it to take longer for my root canal prep and my filling but the doctor and her assistant knocked it out with very little struggle and it was nice when the doctor explained what she was doing next

Fantastic experience: Entering a dentist office with a 15 month old felt overwhelming, but the minute we walked in I felt like part of the family. They even offered if I needed to help with my son so i could do paperwork. The hygenist and dentist made me feel comfortable to care for my child while they continued talking to me, underatanding moms can multi-task. Both were gentle and only did what my toddler allowed and did not push his comfort. High fives from everyone on the way out! Thank you for such exemplary care from enter to exit!

Fantastic experience: The staff is great & Friendly!

Negative experience: We've always had a great experience for my son there. But We've had some insurance issues which they knew about and canceled a cpl times due to the issues which they were super supportive about at that time. I missed 2 other appointments due to weather which was back in 2024 and due to my son being sick and I just got a letter that we can no longer be seen there. Its crap my son who is 10 was very comfortable going there and now we need a new dentist way to be supportive of insurance needs and of kids. You sure where supportive and also admitted we should reschedule when he was sick or when we were dealing with the back and forth from the insurance company. I do not recommend this place anymore.

Dr. Swartz started out in a very modest facilty and has grown and invested into a State of the Art facility with leading edge technology equipment and dental care techniques, along with a true dedication to be the best. That is what I have looked for from the beginning, and found it right here in the Ionia Community. I very much admire him and his family who continuously provide the Dental Care we all want and need. Positive experience: I absolutely love Dr Rodriguez as well as her back office staff. However, Kim up front, could use some classes on customer service and keeping her cool with patients. She herself has told me to tread lightly when I challenged her decision on a billing occurrence. When my ortho treatment is complete so will my time in this office be if I have to encounter her again…..

Every thing they did was explained thoroughly with questions welcome. They didn't put any pressure on me, only explained what and why they thought something would be beneficial. Promptly started working on Financials if/when I wanted to go a certain route. Very professional and friendly. I'm excited to be a part of the Ionia Family Dentistry family.

Fantastic experience: It’s strange to think of words like ‘comfortable’ or ‘relaxing’ when referring to a dental office, but that’s truly how the entire staff makes you feel (and Dr’s Bouwkamp and Rodriguez are wonderful)! Smiles galore, with truly compassionate care.

Fantastic experience: I called for an emergency visit for my son, they were able to get him in to be seen the next day, and fix his tooth. The staff were very friendly.

Fantastic experience: Let’s just say this: if straightening my teeth as a grown man in his mid-30s wasn’t humbling enough, realizing how much I genuinely look forward to my dentist appointments really seals the deal. I’m going through the SureSmile process and it’s been a surprisingly enjoyable experience. My teeth are straighter, my confidence is up, and somehow my jokes still haven’t gotten any better—though the staff keeps pretending to laugh, and I respect that level of commitment. Bottom line, I actually look forward to my visits, which feels weird to say about the dentist, but here we are. I couldn’t recommend them more.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend this office. All staff from the reception area, and throughout the office were friendly and made you feel welcome! Doctor took time with me and explained her recommendations for treatment based on her exam. We agreed on a tentative plan once we get verification of eligibility for a replacement partial. They are also igetting an estimate of the out-of-pocket costs. Again, very patient oriented!

I had a New Patient Exam & they fitted in a Cleaning & Polish instead of having me schedule a separate appointment. NICE! After Xrays, I was clearly told other things that need to be done, I made an appointment and look forward to getting work needed done. Thanks for the thorough & friendly service! May 1, 2025 Interestingly enough, I went to my second visit, for my annual cleaning earlier today & see I wrote a review last year but did not post it! Instead of deleting it, will just add on after a review of today's cleaning. Once again, a wonderful visit. Staff are: friendly, thorough and informative. It was obvious that patient comfort is important to them. Explanations were clearly given so i knew exactly what was happening and any questions I had were answered very clearly and straight forward which I appreciate very much.
