Fantastic experience: I was extremely anxious to be seen knowing I needed a tooth extracted. I was a new patient and they managed to get me in the same day to see the oral surgeon! All of the staff I encountered from the front desk to the dental assistant and surgeon were all very kind, reassuring and efficient. The extraction was painless and I am so grateful that I found this team and that they take my insurance! I will definitely return.

Fantastic experience: By far the BEST experience I have ever had with a dental practice! Everyone was very kind and easygoing, from the front desk to the dentist. April the hygienist was especially awesome and made the appointment a breeze and gave super helpful advice on staying up to date on preventative maintainence to prevent worse issues down the road. Of several practices closer to home I think I will continue treating here on a regular basis, something that I have never in my life been able to do!

Any discomfort is always addressed and the staff is great! I've had everything from x-rays to fillings to dental implants and I'd recommend Windham Dental.

Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to the dentist in 2 years because of back surgeries. Knowing this, the staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. April is my dental hygienist and she is fantastic. She has a really kind (and funny!) personality that always puts me at ease. She shows genuine concern for my well-being, continually asking if I’m OK. When I arrived today, she rolled up two big blankets to put them under my knees, so my back wouldn’t hurt. And she shows the same care when she cleans my teeth. The rest of the staff are all very friendly as well, and I’ll recommend Windham Dental to everyone I know.

Dr. Maser and the staff at Windham Dental were incredibly kind, gentle and knowledgeable. They even had me laughing during my appointment. My root canal was completed pain-free and it feels good to be re-established with a compassionate full-service dental provider. I strongly recommend Windham Dental if you struggle with dental anxiety - don’t wait until you’re in pain, just go. They will take good care of you.

Positive experience: I just visit this place for the first time , the first impresion whose rude, i show up 15 minutes late due to and emergency, i leave work early , for my wife apointnmet at this place, i get home and notice my young boy whose sick i take him to the emergency room . At hospital i whose checking the time , i dont whant to miss my wife dentist apointment, but i whose late due to that , we walk in and the first lady in front , said hi , how can we help you ? I said my wife has apointment, but we are late due to and emergency, i know whe are late , we can fill up paper work now and make new apoitnment , i know i whose late , she right away get and attitude, she roll up her eyes and take deep, breathe, i whose like... wooow , but the next lady next to her notice right away Whats going on , she said i take care them , come over here , and whose a very Huge diference , se whose very nice , she explain us about the paper work , i handle my card to paid the visit , self paid visit, we do all that , the paper work and she said , have a seat, so we did, after few minutes my wife whose inside they explain to me , what the issue whose , and how much will cost , this is the total cost , they said no worries if you need to come back later we understand , i said i know is late , if the doctor said that i need to come back later to get the job done is fine , if he said he can do it now is ok whit me too , my card is at front , so the doctor said lets do it now , after 1 hr my wife whose happy whit her New smile , i whose happy too , i end up paying almost 1k for 1 hr visit , in my way out once again , the lady whose very nice , she save the day for us , i dont need to leave my work early for new apointment, and just cause that , we are are coming back , they just get New 5 customers , family off 5 , Thanks to the nice lady .

Fantastic experience: Overall a great office however I had a tooth extraction yesterday by Dr. Mir. The extraction went well but the follow thru was unexcuseable. I have had both knees replaced which requires me to take antibiodics for even a cleaning to prevent infection. I went to my pharmacy as I was told the script would be there after the extraction only to find that he did not call in the script but said it would be within the hour. I had taken enough antibiotic prior to the visit that I would not need more until today. Guess what....he NEVER called it in putting me at risk. Dr Mir was in such a rush, he was still talking to me as he left the room. His assistant was very cut and dry. Today his "excuse squad" called and tried to read the "canned" statement for Dr Mir's poor follow thru. If Dr.Mir really cared, he would have called me himself. I definitely do not recommend Dr Mir as he obviously only cares about $$ and definitely not his patients. Shame on Windham/ Groton Dental for using such a self centered , uncaring person as a Dental Surgeon. Today,3-10-2026 I had a cavity filled by Dr. Maser. What a great experience. He was kind,gentle,personable with a sense of humor and answered all my concerns. I am so pleased to have such a wonderful Dentist.

Positive experience: Becky is an outstanding dental hygienist.

Negative experience: This place really went downhill after it changed ownership. Most recently, I've been trying to have a single tooth fixed for over four months. Through negligence, incompetence, or both, I'm no closer than I was to start with. Dr. Maser either is not as knowledgeable as he should be, or knows he made a mistake and is unwilling to admit it. The staff doesn't know how to operate all of the equipment. Through miscommunication and carelessness, I've waited over a month for scan results just to come into the office and be told they were never looked at. Dr. Mir was indifferent to issue and became condescending as I expressed my frustration. I will not be coming back.

Fantastic experience: The entire team is amazing. I cannot imagine going anywhere else I have had Dr Maser and Dr Mir for different procedures and thrilled with the results. Becky amazing greeted every time by first name by smiles and how are you doing...definitely make you comfortable Thank You!!!

Negative experience: Made an online appt. For an emergency visit on Saturday. Received numerous confirmation txt messages confirming time and date. Showed up at the office and it was closed. All doors locked, even though the sign on the door indicated they have Saturday hours, And only a virtual assistant to speck with online, stating we had an appt but couldn't help. Absolutely horrible!!!! I would love to speak with some one regarding this issue! Open business online but not in person!?!?

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of being a patient today at Windham Dental. My experience with Windham Dental prior to today started a few weeks ago with interactions with the amazing front desk staff; Melanie and Jeanine. They were so attentive, thoughtful, considerate, and truly went above and beyond to get not only me a new patient appointment, but also one for my son in a very timely manner. They reached out when their was a cancellation and just were an absolute pleasure to deal with and we were greeted with nothing but warmth and a smile when we checked in for our appointments. Today I was fortunate enough to have a cleaning done with a hygienist, April. A week prior, my son had a cleaning appointment with Becky and both my son and I could not speak higher about the professionalism, and warm, welcoming and calming personality of both of them. They worked on us with a smile and expert care all while ensuring we were comfortable. No judgement, just expert care and thoughtfulness. Lastly, I was able to meet Dr. Maser who although had every right to be harsh on me for multiple cavities was nothing but kind, uplifting, and supportive and I have no doubt that when I return for my fillings that he will also provide the utmost expert care. I am so thankful that my family and I found this practice and grateful to all of the staff that we have encountered thus far. They truly made going to the dentist a great experience from start to finish and we are so thankful to be a few of your new patients. Thank you!!

Negative experience: Services were fine, but I was hit with several surprise bills after paying for treatment. Not the most transparent billing process.

From the moment I walked through the door first with Melanie she was an absolute angel to me! And dr. Maser was so kind and reassuring that I would be well taken care of , I had my wisdom teeth removed by dr. Mir and Chasity they did a fantastic job I was done in under 30 minutes no pain no complications they definitely kept by their word! However, the wonderful staff including Gerolin (probably spelled wrong) and the oral surgeon and his partner were both super fantastic. I was literally laughing on my way out. See what I did there? Overall it was painless and fast. Would recommend to anyone needing dental work.

Fantastic experience: The 5 star review is for Becky, the hygienist that I’ve been going to for the last few years since Dana left the practice. Becky is outstanding and I’ll continue to go to Windham Dental as long as she’s there. But I was really disappointed to find out today that Dr. Dougherty isn’t there anymore. I’ve been going to Windham Dental ever since I moved to CT 25 years ago. When I arrived in the state I did a lot of research before choosing a dentist and I have always been so grateful to have found Dr. Flanagan and Dr. Dougherty. Both were exceptional and I trusted them completely. Now it appears the doctors are all new to the practice ( or at least new since the last time I saw the dentist during a visit). I don’t think any notification was sent out informing patients that Dr. Dougherty was leaving and a whole new care team was taking over. If it was I never saw it. I’m sure the new team is very competent but choosing a dentist is a big decision ( I had chosen very poorly at one point in my early adulthood and learned very quickly that all dentists are not created equal) and I would have been a lot more comfortable if I had received a notice regarding Dr. Dougherty’s departure along with his endorsement of the new Dentists. I’ll be relying heavily on reviews between now and the next time I need anything from a Dentist and hope they live up to what I had come to expect at Windham Dental over the past 25 years! In the meantime…. Thanks for the great run Drs. Flanagan and Dougherty!

Fantastic experience: This place is great. Everyone there make it fun to go to the dentist . Well as much fun as going to the dentist can be. Everybody is so friendly and easy to get along with. Always happy and smiling. It tends to take the edge off what could be a stressful situation. I always leave the office an anticipating my next visit. They get to know me as most of my appointments are 6 months apart. They call me a few days before to remind me and text me the morning of to make sure I make it to the appointment. It means a lot to me when they do this. They are all such great people. I always feel good going in and comfortable when I am there . I can’t say enough about how good this place is and how much I enjoy going to the dentist for the first time in my life .

I had a cleaning done and a few fillings. All of the procedures were painless and the staff and dentist are super friendly, kind and knowledgeable. They also were very fast. I have had fillings before that were not great experiences but these were totally painless! Highly recommend!
