Fantastic experience: Amazing! I had a negative experience prior and this office has been great. The Dentist talks over all options and considers all the angles. Recently I had a filling fall out and another needed to be replaced. We initially assumed I needed a crown but after getting into things we found a filling would do just as well. This saved me 100s of dollars in bills and I have had no issues since! Even the office staff are great, calling when they have openings if needed and showing genuine care for their patients. Bravo

Fantastic experience: Whitney (who does the phone scheduling) is the kindest, sweetest, loveliest human. I struggle with anxiety around making calls and talking to receptionist and she has always been patient and understanding when I call. The rest of the staff there is fantastic. My hygienist is wonderful and Dr. Dannon is a hoot! (I always look forward to hearing him mentioning the birds!!) Big fan of the cozy vibe of the office, all the plants, and painted ceiling tiles! I’m an outlier because I actually really enjoy going to the dentist and I’ve always had a beyond positive experience here- never had a single problem. Would recommend to everyone if I could!

Negative experience: Had a filling fall out. They said don't worry, you can wait a few months to cap it. 2 weeks later tooth broke. Lost tooth!! Wanted to charge my 6 grand to put a post in etc. Another tooth chipped, they said they'd crown it asao. 2 months of wearing an Ill fitting temp that keep falling off and 4 visits later , I was PUSHED into excepting a crown that was too short. The girl there, NOT A DENTIST, kept saying " it looks great, while covering up how short it was. When I demanded to see it without her hand it the way and saw how bad it looked, she said if you don't accept this it will be 6 months before you can get another one and you run the risk of breaking the tooth and looking another toith. Don't go there! If you see a dentist there you might be ol, but they hire people without degrees to do most of the mock ups, so the shape , color and size is TERRIBLE !!!!

Fantastic experience: A pleasant dentist's office. There are lots of nice calming things around. Videos of nature in all the rooms. Kids paintings on the ceiling tiles. A lot of attention has gone into putting people who may have anxiety at ease. Definitely affordable too. Staff are kind and attentive. The doctor talks a little fast, but if you go in knowing that, he's easy enough to keep up with.

Fantastic experience: Highly professional, kind, pleasant, and very friendly. The dental hygienist was wonderful and the exam was comprehensive. It was a relaxing experience, the doctor was excellent, and a treatment plan was set up. I was very happy with the visit.

Negative experience: This place went downhill after Northwestern purchased Dr. Scarpelli's practice. Their staff handling billing is a disaster.

Fantastic experience: I've been going for about four years now to this Dentist office. They are generally very personable and not judgey. One of the reasons prior to visiting I stopped going was my old dental office. All of their hygienist have been professional but do their best to make you feel comfortable. If you haven't gone to a dentist in awhile this is a good place to go, they won't make you feel bad for making a poor judgment call. They have a plan if you don't have insurance that allows you to get two cleaning a year, an x-ray and exam and emergency visit for about 350 (I think). Very good deal if you don't have insurance.

Fantastic experience: I have a built in fear of Dental work because of childhood experiences. Dr. Scarpelli is the only dentist I have ever been comfortable with. I trust him almost enough to like going to see him! I hope he never retires. The staff is also attentive and personable. I would not consider going elsewhere!

With every room a different nature-quiet, calming videos playing, either of birds or waterfalls or something beautiful, I always feel relaxed. The hygienist is just talkative enough to feel like you have know her for ages. The Dentist himself, is always kind and says thank you. Though I have only needed cleanings so far, I know when I need more, I will be relaxed enough to not be stressed.I’m glad I found you!

Negative experience: Do not count on these people to help you when you need it. I do not have dental insurance but was , what I thought , an established patient. I have had a couple of cleanings and paid cash each time on the way out the door. Had a problem with a tooth called to make an appointment . Talked to the receptionist , told her I did not have insurance but have been there before. She told me about there membership at a cost of over $300. which included other benefits. Told her I was still not interested in the membership. She said she would have the office contact me and they never did . So much for helping someone in need..

Fantastic experience: I was unfortunate enough to break a tooth on a Monday night. By Tuesday morning at 8:30, I had an emergency appointment at Northwest Dental for 11am. I wasn’t even their patient and they got me in!!! I was leaving fir a trip out of the country on Saturday so I had to have it repaired in some fashion immediately. They made an appointment fir me to get a temporary crown cut and fitted on Wednesday. Amazing!!!!! I may never go back to my old dentist.

Positive experience: Had to wait outside for a COVID phone screening and a temperature check in advance of the cleaning. Considering all of the safety precautions in place, Kim is friendly and does a great job!

Fantastic experience: I had a crown fall off, and catie stayed after hours and drove all the way to Canaan from Winsted to make a temporary crown and Put it on for me! I can’t thank her or Dr Dannon enough for getting me out of a tough bind on that! Great place with a dedicated team!

Fantastic experience: I broke a tooth, they got me in the same day I called for a consultation and treatment options, I chose a plan that day, and had an apt in 2 days to start. This has so far been a great experience

Negative experience: Called twice to make emergency appointment. They never returned my calls even though they say on their website that emergencies are seen the same day. Needless to say, I'm going somewhere else and wouldn't recommend this place.

Negative experience: Very disorganized office, I have had several appointments that have been canceled and appointment that I have had scheduled and gone to the office to find that there was no dentist to do the work needed. I had a crown started in February that still is not complete because they did not have the material. My May appointment was cancelled due to not having any PPE. Which I get. Called today to confirm appointment in June and they have no record of any appointment!!!! My family and I are discussed and would not recommend them to anyone!!!!

Fantastic experience: I, as many of you out there, have a deep rooted fear of dentists. That fear made my dental health suffer greatly over the years. A friend finally convinced me to go to northwestern dental. I was in pain on a regular basis and desperately needed help. The staff was welcoming, understanding and non-judgmental. The doctor, Dr. Tom, was extremely patient with me, with my fears and my onslaught of questions. I am well on my way to regaining some form of dental care and health....something I neglected for far too long. I urge anyone who can relate to my fear and apprehension to contact northwestern dental. They are fantastic on every level!

Fantastic experience: My last dental experience was horrible, so I was apprehensive to visit a new dentist. Northwestern Dental made everything wonderful. The hygienist, Britt, was the nicest I've ever had and so thorough. Dr. Tom was great as well. I can see why my 15 yr old son was asking me about when his next appointment was happily vs. avoidently. Super place!
