Negative experience: Very poor experience with the office manager in particular. The office failed to bill my insurance in a timely manner, and the office manager blamed me for it and charged me out of pocket despite me having already paid the agreed amount. She didn’t tell me about this for several months, and i only found out when I received a bill that was the final notice before collections. She proceeded to have me sign up for a credit card without my knowledge- the application was done over the phone and I was told it was a “payment plan through the office.” I only found out it was a credit card after it had been approved and charged to the card. I don’t think I would have agreed if I had known. It’s also worth noting that the owed amount changed quite drastically with each conversation. Uncommunicative and deceptive.

Fantastic experience: Just came in to check on maybe having the bonding procedure done to fill a gap and bond one discolored tooth……They suggested having crowns done..but decided not to go that route.

Amber the lead dental assistant not only remembered me, but stood up to greet me by name — a small gesture that made a big impact. Lisa, my dental hygienist, was absolutely fantastic — kind, professional, and incredibly thorough. She made the whole experience comfortable and delivered flawless results (again). Dr. David Taler, despite clearly having a full schedule, still made the time to personally stop by, say hello, ask a couple questions he some how remember from 12 months ago, and made sure I was happy with everything. Fantastic experience: I broke my tooth and needed to be seen ASAP. They were able to get me in right away for an emergency dental appointment. No wait time in the waiting room and the office manager and staff were amazing! Special shout out to Amber, Karlie and Lisa for taking such good care of me throughout the entire process. Dr. Taler put my concerns at ease and was able to do my Root Canal same day. It was totally painless. The whole team is wonderful and you can tell they truly care about their patients. Fantastic experience: This is that rare practice that does everything - no chasing from one office for cleaning to another for root canals to a third for implants. Clean, punctual, professional office. I have recently gotten a crown and an extraction in preparation for an implant. Both were managed smoothly with minimal discomfort. Negative experience: They cancelled my kids appointments. They said they reached out and they didn't. Funny she said because I failed to go to my appointment this happened. I never got a confirmation call, text, email or voicemail for my appointment. I'm sorry life happens people are busy you're going to punish my kids because you failed to contact and confirm any appointments. This is beyond messed up. I'm so over the medical field in Indiana this was the final straw back to Michigan.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Taler and the staff at Advanced Family Dentistry are absolutely wonderful! I was recently scheduled for a procedure (a crown) in which I had some concerns about the amount of pain I would experience. After explaining this to Dr. Taler, they proceeded with the procedure taking care to ensure that I was as comfortable as possible. The experience was not at all traumatic, but was managed with great skill (as always) and with consistent reassurance that I was ‘doing great’! Over the past couple of years I have had extensive dental work performed which included lower ‘all-in-four’ implants. Dr. Taler was so perfect with explaining the process and allowing me at times to ‘see’ the areas being treated via ‘state-of-the-art’ technology. More than anything I appreciate being able to truly trust Dr. Taler with my dental care. This has changed my life to one free of pain and a restored smile . . . equally important is I NOW have a great dentist who listens and ‘cares’ to take care of my dental concerns/well-being.

Fantastic experience: Dr Taler is a seriously gifted dental professional and the most ethical person I've dealt with in a long time. Instead of just trying different treatments for my dental problems caused by TMJ, he referred me to a medical doctor-dentist who specializes in this area. 9 out of 10 other dentists would have performed other expensive, experimental procedures just to make money, but Dr Taler is very conservative and doesn't recommend something if he doesn't think it will solve the problem. He is very kind and extremely knowledgeable; I highly recommend this practice. P.S.: The hygienist is fantastic too!

Fantastic experience: I had one of the best experiences with teeth cleaning, ever. I had missed my earlier 6 month appointment, so my hygienist hade to put in extra work, especially around my retainer. I will say I did not have one bit of swelling or pain, she was excellent!

Fantastic experience: Even though I had to wait almost 30 minutes past my appt time, I had a new hygienist, Stephanie. She was able to do the ultra sonic cleaning which took a lot longer than 10 minutes. Instead of seeing David when finished, I saw a new dentist that he brought into the practice. Both were nice and professional, therefore my rating of 5. The only thing disappointing was having to wait almost 30 minutes to be seen and no came out to say the hygienist was busy with another person and would be with me shortly.

Fantastic experience: I chose Dr.Taler after doing some research on local implant surgeons. He is highly rated as being one of the best doctors in the area and is a fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. I began my treatment a year and a half ago. My case was complicated because of osteoporosis and low bone density. Dr. Taler was extremely caring and knowledgeable during every step of my treatment. He showed great initiative and complete dedication to my case. He was trustworthy, capable and compassionate and knew how to make me as a patient comfortable and cared for. I had utmost confidence in his performance. He worked tirelessly to ensure I was pleased with the outcome. He approached every challenge with a positive attitude. He is truly dedicated to getting the best outcome possible for his patients. I ended up with an aligned bite and the most beautiful smile I had envisioned. My gratitude also go out to his staff who helped assist in the process. The staff is friendly and caring. His lab technician Bob was instrumental in making sure the details were transferred from chair side to the lab for processing. Thank you to all. Dr Taler seems to have crested a very healthy work environment. Everyone seems to be very happy! "Hats Off" to Dr. Taler! Too bad I live 2 hours away! :-( UPDATE 10/27/2023: We just finished this "project" two days ago on October 25, 2023. At this point I must say that I am very happy with the outcome. I'm not fully chewing on the affected side yet, but the "teeth" look great! I/we are very happy with the entire staff and Dr. Taler did a fantastic job of explaining to me what he was doing. (I'm a Mechanical Engineer and I like to know what is going on!) We live 2 hours away in Celina, Ohio. One of the teeth being replaced was an anchor for a dental bridge. So when that tooth failed, and the bridge fell out with the tooth, I had a two-tooth gap in my smile. The oral surgeon in Celina thought I was not a good candidate for implants since my teeth are apparently pretty close to my sinus cavity. It seems that everyone was afraid of doing a "sinus lift" due to this closeness. So I found Dr. Taler on the internet. He took me on as a patient, removed the root from my original tooth, and proceeded with the implants. The "sinus lift" did not seem to be a "big deal" for him and thus far it has not caused any problems at all! Dr. Taller gave me a quote for all of this on my first visit. True to form, the implants were expensive and about ten months were required involving approximately six trips to hie office. So all the details were communicated well from the very beginning. Very, very nice! As I said at the beginning of the update, I have only had these implants for two days. But the process has gone very well this far. I would highly recommend Dr. Taller and his excellent staff, especially for implants. If we lived closer to his office he would also be our regular dentist. :-)

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love Dr. Taler and his staff!! Prior to going to Dr. Taler I had some dental issues and my previous dentist sent me to an endodontist, who sent to a periodontist, who sent me to an oral surgeon. I felt like I was being passed around and no one wanted to deal with me and was in pain for months. I love the fact Dr. Taler does it all and you are not passed on to “specialists”! They are always friendly, informative, and listen. You get excellent care in a laidback environment. I couldn’t be happier with my care I only wish I would have found him sooner!! I drive 1 1/2 hours to get there but it’s worth it because for the first time in my life I don’t mind going to the dentist!

Fantastic experience: I broke my front tooth late at night and they were able to get me in next day. Whenever I felt any pain they would stop and make sure I was comfortable before continuing. The staff is friendly and has a great knowledge about dentistry. I have had a lot of dental work in my life and they used techniques and devices that made my dental work a lot easier. I will always be going to them.

Fantastic experience: Dr Taler is the best type of perfectionist and he's undeniably good. On a recent visit my crown/bridge didn't fit along the gums as well as he wanted and immediately made the decision to get it right and ordered another mold to order another crown. He wanted to make sure his work wasn't seen by any other dentist in the future as subpar. I've had more work done than I would like to admit, but I've never had a dentist care as much.
