Fantastic experience: I'm very happy with the care my daughter receives here. All staff has been very friendly and explains things to kiddo in the appropriate way and explains everything to me in a way that works for an adult that doesn't know much about things related to the medical field. My daughter has some crowding and Dr. Heckart has a non aggressive approach to resolution instead of putting her into braces sooner than necessary. Overall, very pleased and I definitely recommend this facility to others

We love Growing Smiles! 5th update: We had our toddler’s first cleaning today, the staff were patient and kind as usual.

With not having much resources in Humboldt, I was a bit hesitant, but have only experienced the highest quality of care there. The front desk staff are exceptional and are always very welcoming and helpful. The assistants are so nice to the littles! The dentist has a way with kids and it shows with how our daughter interacts with them.

Fantastic experience: Dr Heckert and the team have done a great job making routine dentistry comfortable and fun for our kids. My kids really enjoy the patience and kindness of the staff and the fun balloons and small toy after. I've found them good about billing my insurance.

Fantastic experience: Dr Randy has compassion for his patients and it shows. He's busy but makes sure you know what's going on. Staff is nice and quick. Everyone is good with kids. The kids get a bunch of swag and a helium balloon at the end so my daughter always wants to go.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this place for your child. My son is severely Autistic and can be difficult in a medical environment. Dr Heckert and the staff there, are always kind and patient. My son requires sedation for his dental needs and they offer those services right in their office. In the past, we have had to take Brennie to the hospital for an outpatient surgery. He has had a history of hospital visits for Epilepsy and it has left him phobic of these facilities. So, when we discovered Dr Heckert, we were overjoyed. The anesthesiologist that assisted Dr Heckert with Brennie’s surgery was skilled, and very attentive, as well. I highly recommend giving this practice a visit for your littles’ dental needs. You won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: We have been coming twice a year for approximately 11 years - always a pleasant experience and the kids look forward to going. Even at 12 years old can’t wait to get a balloon and a duck. We have a rubber duck collection from dentist visits and they proudly display them. The staff are so kind and talk to the kids and engage with them.

Negative experience: I have had too many uncomfortable interactions at this office to want to return. I have walked out of this office and cried in my car on several occasions. The staff lays on the guilt when you don’t want do what they suggest…. Then tries to make me fill out “bad parent” paperwork….. The pressure sales tactics is insane. And then bullying me into rescheduling now “or else”…….It is a huge turn off. Then comes the letter in the mail aiming to make me feel even worse about not drilling into my kids baby teeth. When you’re the only game in town, you can convince parents to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars on their kids’ baby teeth and then make them feel bad when they don’t / can’t do it.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was so patient and did a great job explaining everything to my child. They have worked with our family so well. Our kid used to have a hard time with dental stuff (like most kids) but now handles it with ease and generally enjoys the dentist. They even put up with him taking his shoes off and having very dirty summer camp feet.

Dr. Heckert was also incredible in emergencies-had an incident where the tooth bent back into his mouth and Randly calmly braced it together with finesse and such care.
