Hometown Family Dentistry

Fantastic experience: We decided to get a second opinion from Hometown Family Dentistry after another dentist, office in town gave me an uneasy feeling. They have always been on time, kind, respectful, and very informative. I’m so glad we made the switch!

Negative experience: Called to schedule an appointment for a chipped tooth. I was told 4pm and they could look at it. I asked about getting the work done at the same time if we scheduled a different time. The receptionist told me if I came innat 8am they would have time to do so. Day of: they did an XRay and charged me $138 to say yup its chipped just like you told us, but you will have to reschedule because they booked other people when they knew what was to be done. When I calmly explained what they told me when booking me the staff was very rude, kept interrupting me and didn't want to let me speak. Very rude and unprofessional. I took the day off of work and was told if we did the morning appointment this quick resin composite could be done at the time I booked.

Negative experience: Tell me why I had to listen to the nurse getting an attitude with someone just because the patient was upset that he was not getting the treatment he was there for? He didn't raise his voice or anything. And she got extremely rude with him. I'm very disappointed because I was there to ask for work myself if things went well for him. If you over booked then just say that. Don't blame your boss like they were the one to schedule things. That makes the dentist you work for look terrible just because you don't want to take responsibility. Lost two customers because they wanted to be unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: They are very good and accepts my insurance they do a good job had a tooth extraction and they took care of me

Fantastic experience: I was told by another dentist that I needed a root canal. Hometown agreed to do a second opinion and I was able to get a filling done with minimal discomfort. The front desk woman was always kind and made me feel so welcome. Everyone was wonderful.

Positive experience: The only disappointment I had was they didnt offer Therapy Dentist Dogs ‍.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this dentist. The office staff is amazing and he's a great dentist. Very professional but yet super friendly and down to earth. I used to go to Aspen and I got sick of being "sold" to, they always hyped up the charges and it felt sales pitchy... I'm so thankful I found this place. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Hometown and Family Dentistry has been very satisfactory. I had extensive oral surgery and am happy to say that experience was professional and painless. The recovery from having dental implants was uncomfortable and a little disappointing as contrary to the advertisement on receiving implants, you have to wait for a healing process and the grafting to take effect. You do not get beautiful new teeth immediately. I understand the reasoning behind this to insure the greatest outcome, however it is still a bit disappointing. I look forward to the future process and the wonderful care and professionalism that Hometown Family Dentistry provides. Thank you to the whole staff at Hometown Family Dentistry !

Fantastic experience: This is by far one of the best dentists I have ever been. My husband and I had our first visit and they accommodated us completely in getting everything done in our first visit, which was impossible everywhere else during thanksgiving week. The staff was highly thorough and friendly, in fact as I waited in waiting room I overheard another patient unloading her burdens from another dentist, onto them, and they were so empathetic and personable toward her. The dentist was polite and the entire visit made you forget where you were; the dentist. If I could give 10 stars I would! I look forward to my next cleaning.

Dr. Rowell and his staff are very knowledgeable and awesome as a team, they explained in detail what is needed to fix the problem and all preventive measures on keeping your teeth healthy and strong. Overall this is a great environment that any family would appreciate plus the receptionist is hilarious and brilliant at what she does.

Fantastic experience: The staff here is super friendly. They booked me an appointment the same day I called in, complaining of tooth pain from a previous root canal. They also made time to extract the tooth during said appointment. I was in and out in one hour. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Fantastic experience: Although I’m not sure about how insurance works with them as they told our family that with MetLife, they would have to pay the full amount and then being reimbursed by the insurance company, we have MetLife and we don’t pay the full amount. We just pay a partial amount so I’m just a little confused other than that they’re probably the best dentist I have ever been to, since we moved here

Positive experience: Our family has been going to them for a couple of years now, and we've had many appointments—possibly dozens—and have never had to reschedule. We've also spent thousands of dollars and plan to spend much more. My husband missed an appointment due to a situation that I wouldn’t call an emergency, but it was very serious, and I had to call last minute to reschedule. I understand why they charge a $100 cancellation fee—they're running a business and need to see a certain number of patients each day. They rely on people being on time. However, shouldn't there be some consideration for long-term clients? Why penalize a client who has been 100% punctual and reliable for years? The biggest issue is the way it was handled when I called to reschedule—it felt rude and dismissive, with no regard for me as a longstanding client. The way I was treated makes me uncomfortable going there again, and frustrated that I now have to find another dentist. Why couldn’t she have been polite? I would have paid the $100 and moved on. Even better, she could have used the opportunity to affirm my value as a client and mention that, due to our good relationship, they would discount or waive the fee this one time. Something to acknowledge the situation and preserve the relationship. Don’t get me wrong, the dentists and hygienists are great, but now there's a sour taste because of how I was treated. I would give the dentists and hygienists five stars, but the receptionist only one star. EDIT AFTER RESPONSE: I appreciate the response to my review. However, you did not comment about the way my phone call was addressed by your front desk rep. When it comes down to it, that is the biggest issue. As I said above “I would have paid the $100 and moved on” but the way I spoken to is what was hard to reconcile. The $100 was not even part of why I ranked the 3 stars as described above. The suggestion that you should really take into consideration the history of appointments kept in the past by a patient before unilaterally charging the fee is still smart move but is secondary in this case. Lastly, your response doesn’t come across that you are concerned with having lost 4 patients due to the way they were treated on the phone.

First conversation via phone with Megan was insightful and it confirmed that my Dad would be in great hands with people that were patient, professional & caring. Kellie brightens the front office with her beautiful smile and pleasant demeanor. Every concern was handled with empathy and compassion. Addie kept the financial aspect accurate and communicated effectively. Although I wasn’t able to accompany my parents during every appointment Niki communication with me via phone was thural discussing every detail and options. Nicki and Victoria worked diligently to exceed our expectations in making my Dad’s visits joyful and less stressful in a dentist chair. Truly his anxiety went from a million to zero. Brian ensured that my Mother and I were fine as we waiting for my Dads surgical procedure to be completed. Dr. Rowell worked seamlessly ensuring that my Dad was coping well and ensuring him that he was doing well during the entire procedure. Truly they treated my Dad like their Dad. We’re grateful and thankful for their exceptional care and we recommend you trusting them with your love ones. You won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I had two tooth extracted this am around 10:00, and I was pleasantly surprised with little or no pain, also, I was informed about each step of the process, which relaxed me and put me in a good mood. The Technician was awesome, and the dentist wasted no time during the extraction. It is now 5pm, and there is no pain or discomfort. Thanks for the outstanding service!!!
