Fantastic experience: The office was very welcoming. All of the staff seemed very friendly and efficient at their job. Plus, they all seemed very happy to be working there! Dr. Mace was great, very thorough, explained things really well, and even showed me my xray while explaining. My prior dentist never showed me my xrays!

Negative experience: ⭐⭐ The staff were professional, polite, and the quality of the work I received was good. My concern is with the communication regarding payment expectations, especially for uninsured patients. I was examined in November. The exam was $400, and I was diagnosed with periodontal disease, needed root canal/crown, some fillings. I was advised not to wait more than three months to address the tooth. I was scheduled for late January for a two-part scaling and root planing treatment, paying $400 for each visit. I paid those balances off within a couple of appointments. The next step was a root canal and crown in March. I was quoted around $2,600, but I was not informed that the full amount would be due on the day of the appointment until less than a week before the scheduled procedure. After waiting months while dealing with pain, finding out so close to the appointment that the entire amount was required upfront was extremely upsetting and left me unable to proceed. I eventually had the work completed elsewhere, but the delay during that time resulted in additional complications with the tooth that I am now having to address. The extended wait affected the condition of the tooth, and I may no longer be able to restore it with a crown. I want to emphasize that the staff were kind and professional. My issue is that financial expectations for major procedures should be clearly communicated much earlier so patients have the opportunity to plan, save, or consider other options.

Fantastic experience: I called Mace dental after one of my old fillings fell out and they were able to get me in the next day, even though I wasn’t a current patient. The lady’s behind the desk were pleasant and very helpful. I seen Dr. White, he was amazing!! I don’t have insurance and was worried about being judged. It was the complete opposite, they meet me where I was at. I got my tooth fixed and was never pressured to get a full scan or an expense cleaning. The whole experience was better than I expected. If you need a dentist in Washington, Go see Dr. White!

Fantastic experience: I had an old root canal tooth that failed and became infected. Dr Mace immediately prescribed me antibiotics after speaking with me about my symptoms. Two days later he accommodated me for the extraction. He is the most gentle person with the numbing and I felt NOTHING. Not even my face afterwards. He made sure I was comfortable the entire time through out the procedure. I already feel better immediately after. Thank you Dr Mace! I’ve worked in the dental world for 15+ years and he is by far the best dentist i’ve come across!

Fantastic experience: We are very happy to have found Mace Dental Group about 3 years ago and highly recommend them. The practice uses top technologies to manage our dental health. Dr. Mace, the hygienists, and the whole office team are not only great at their job, but all are really pleasant people.
