Fantastic experience: I have had an excellent experience at Sugar’s End Dental. I have had teeth cleanings, X-rays and a crown. Very competent staff, from hygienist, office staff, to dentists. I would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: The website portal initial check in was a positive experience; basic X-ray as well as the doctors evaluation, and advice was excellent. I will be returning to Sugars End Dental for future dental exams and procedures. Overall, my experience was very positive, and I would recommend the staff and doctor to other individuals who need dental services.

How polite, helpful, and happy everyone was that I chose to become a patient with them. From Michelle to Tonya to Kat to Torrie to Dr. Coakley - every person in the office was professional and friendly. I was not rushed. My concerns were not dismissed. My xrays were examined with attention to detail and not skimmed over and a good dental plan was put into motion going forward. Feels good! Fantastic experience: My three year old complained of tooth pain so I called around to all the dental offices I knew and no one would see a child that young, even for an emergency, let alone take our insurance until I found Sugars End. They got us in right away and not only was the office beautiful but the staff were amazing with him, competent and so accommodating. Thankfully there were no cavities and they were so awesome, I immediately booked appointments for both me and my husband plus our son’s four year cleaning and check-in. Definitely recommend to all those within driving distance of Ellijay.

Fantastic experience: Broke a tooth, and tooth fragment was cutting my tongue explained to Receptionist and even though their schedule was busy she was able to fit me in. Staff was extremely helpful and professional full of smiles. Office clean and warming. Reception even helped me with discount dental plan. Think my teeth have found a new home

Negative experience: Showed up for an appointment for a cleaning and was not aware there was a co pay. I asked to reschedule the appointment and was told they charge a $50 no show. I was there in person showed up just couldn’t cover the co-pay. They should not of charged a $50 no show when I was there. I’m done and will not go back.

Negative experience: IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS DENTIST READ THIS REVIEW: LOTS OF DENTIST IN TOWN SKIP THIS ONE, SKIP THE HEADACE OF THEIR UNPROFESSIONAL OFFICE TEAM. I hope the dentist gets to review this because Tanya your office manager I don't know what the problem is there but I don't know why you have somebody running your office like that so this woman is the most unprofessional person I've met at a dentist office this is the billing the person who is responsible for charging you your insurance who you can count on is going to double bill you my wife and I self pay cash every time still get bills when I call her she says it's not her problem one time I was in there and her and her office man her and her officemates were talking about how much they hate their husbands and can't stand them I mean who does that in an office setting and then I tell her well why don't I just talk to the manager and she goes I'm the office manager you'll talk to me so dentist you're getting two stars because my wife likes you but your office is unprofessional you need to fire Tanya straight up she's costing you money and I'm going to file a complaint with a Better Business Bureau the Attorney General of the state of Georgia and the cfpb on your billing practices I think that's worth $49

Dr Fowler did a fill in on my chipped tooth and did just a perfect job I’m in love with my smile again !!! I appreciate him so much for the work he done for me and gave me confidence in my smile. Negative experience: Please take Medicare. It may be a pain for dentists to process Medicare claims, but old people were once young and supported you then and they deserve good dentistry as they age. People on Medicare are most likely on a fixed income and paying up front and waiting for reimbursement can be a burden. A dentist office has a variable income and if managed properly has a rising income and can absorb the cost of a delayed payment better. Please take Medicare.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy to have found Sugars End Dental. They are easy to get to, there is plenty of parking, and the building is nicely decorated, warm, and inviting. The front desk staff is wonderful, and so is Mary Rose, who performed a great and painless cleaning. She offered some interesting suggestions, which I will follow exactly. It was a pleasure meeting Dr. Coakley as well. She checked me over and was even willing to change my bite a bit, as it had been bothering me for a couple of months. I feel lucky and pleased that they carry my insurance, and I look forward to my future six-month cleanings.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient to this office, my former dentist having dropped my insurance carrier. The office was inviting and the equipment was up to date. I was well satisfied with my exam and consultation and look forward to a long and rewarding partnership.

Negative experience: Just had my first experience with Sugars Dental The office is beautiful and staff very nice however $99 for an exam that the dentist literally spent 2 minutes looking at tooth 20 to say I need an oral surgeon. I also had to have more X-rays the copies I brought from Lykins Dentist were not sufficient they were just done in June and were a paper copy so $165 for a 2 minute exam and Xrays and a referral out for an oral surgeon. I wouldn’t be so upset if a thorough exam had been done but literally she looked at the one tooth and said no you need an oral surgeon didn’t even check out the rest of my teeth or give any other advice.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful group of people, the numerous years of experience offered by Dr. Coakley. My Dentist and an amazing one at that is also Dr.Coakley who as well has years and years upon years of diligence hard earned experience. Cleanings are conducted by a well educated staff of hygienists, X-rays are a walk in the park, , . Dr. Coakley has guided me through difficult times and talked me through the rough challenges as well. Who holds the front of house together, well that would be Tonya in my firm opinion. I already had an appt scheduled, but a few days before... on the Thursday before July 4th, my husband broke a tooth & Dr Coakley & her staff got him in that afternoon. The staff was wonderful & Dr. C was amazing. My husband said he never felt a thing. My appt went just as smoothly. Dr. C answered all of my questions & concerns. Fantastic experience: The hygienist is really sensitive to sensory issues or things like migraine triggers. She is willing to turn off lights and music, close the blinds, get you water, take things slow, and take breaks when you need to. Plus she's fast, but really good. You can also make seperate appointments for x-rays and come back the next day for the cleaning itself, if your jaw can't handle all of that in one session. They're just really accommodating people and they dont make you feel awful for struggling with something that should be simple, like a dental cleaning.

Negative experience: New to Ellijay a few years ago and chose Sugars End as my new dentist. BIG MISTAKE! My first time there the dentist, Dr Kaylee Coakley came in —no small talk, no introductions, no welcome to my practice, no we’re so glad you chose us….no southern hospitality I guess bc she’s from up north. Ok—all that to the side—it’s a dentist. I’ll see her twice a year. I can do that. Same experience the next time around and same after that. Got a cavity filled. After a few months I started having sensitivity in that tooth and could see a dark spot on the edge of the tooth. Went to a different dentist and yep, just as I thought that was part of the cavity shed filled that I was seeing. Apparently she did not completely drill out the cavity when she filled it so it just kept getting worse. I was shown the xray where the cavity had not been drilled out all the way. The best thing about this place is the cute waiting room and the catchy name , Sugars End. Don’t waste your time or money. I had to pay twice once when Coakley filled it and then pay the new dentist to have the cavity she filled drilled out completely and redone. If it would’ve been done correctly by Dr Coakley that would’ve never happened!

Negative experience: Went here looking to get some new dentures. Everything went great. Went to my appointment, went back, sat in the exam chair, started talking with the assistant. She asked what insurance I had. I told her; they ended the response right there with, "I'm sorry, we don't accept that here: PeachCare." They billed me $500 for sitting in the waiting room for 20 minutes and a one-minute convo about insurance.

Fantastic experience: This was such a wonderful dental experience. First of all I went in thinking I needed a crown and only had to have a filling. That was great! I used my Cigna savings plan and got a great price on my filling. This dental office is so laid back with a homey feel. Very comfortable setting and everyone in the office was so friendly.

Negative experience: First visit was great. Then I had an issue and went to Dr for help and they were beyond no help. They referred me to another dentist because they did t have good enough X-rays to see what was going on with my tooth. I thought it needed to be pulled. I left in pain and wanted several days for appointment with other dentist. He was shocked that Sugars End couldn’t tell that c there was an infection and put me on an antibiotic. The tooth ended up needing to be pulled. I called Sugars End to update them. They didn’t offer any referral, no suggestion or help. They said I could call anyone. They never called to check on me. But they sure wanted my money.

Fantastic experience: We recently moved here and my husband had already seen Dr. Coakley for some issues and loved the common sense used in his treatment. Now my first visit was wonderful also. Mary Rose was perfect during the cleaning and I too was impressed by Dr. Coakley. Great place and so glad I chose Sugars End as our dentist here in Ellijay.

Negative experience: Other than the pleasant smell and pink themed holiday cheer, I was not very pleased with my experience as a potential new patient. I called and made an appointment with a woman a couple days before as she told me she could “squeeze” me in for a cleaning. I was then asked to send X-rays from previous dentist and I gladly did. I sent the email of x-rays with text saying “for my upcoming appointment”. I saved it to my calendar and all. I arrive for my cleaning and there’s no appointment for me, no history that I called and talked to someone, nothing they could do because the woman who took my info wasn’t there and they were short one doctor that day, told me no more appointments for 5 more months… how crazy. It was the manager who I saw that day and all she could say was “sorry, I am really sorry”. The next appointment she tried to “squeeze” me in for was something way off that I couldn’t come to. Unfortunately hiccups like this is bad for your business. Don’t let these things happen again. Couldn’t even offer me something in return for my time and efforts on sending X-rays and showing up. A discount? A free toothbrush? The treasure chest? lol something!

Negative experience: While we enjoyed coming to your office , my daughter’s half hour cleaning with absolutely no dental problems, was ridiculously expensive . The visit cost over $300.00 for a half hour cleaning . We will not be back.
