Fantastic experience: I came in to get two teeth extracted yesterday and it was probably one of the nicest experiences I’ve had. I sadly don’t remember names but the two doctors who took care of me were really sweet and made me feel safe!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful staff and a great environment. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: The local office is good. The main company (Merit Dental, owned by Smile Brands Inc. who's owned by Gryphon Investors) is the problem. The failure of the main company to alert local offices about credentialing problems is causing patients to be unknowingly billed for out of network services, even though the local offices are telling patients that they are in network providers. I suggest that any patient, regardless of what the provider tells them, double check with their health insurance company before your appointment to make sure your provider is in network. This, hopefully, will help you avoid the surprise bill that I got. I've already had a discussion with the local office staff. The main problem is not with the local staff, it's the corporate office of Merit and their lack of timely communication with their local providers.

Fantastic experience: Always friendly and accommodating! If you’re looking for a family friendly dentist that cares for their patients this is your place.

Negative experience: I really liked this office and have gone here for years, but they recently changed my appointment time without calling to inform me, just changing my confirmation text, and instead of admitting to a mistake proceeded to tell me I was wrong. And this was after trying to reschedule me a week before the appointment I booked 6 months ago and not being able to accommodate when I can come in. I really try to be very understanding, but the person on the phone was rude. Very unprofessional on their end. They also just moved my son's appointment the week of. People take time off work and work their lives around these appointments, and they don't seem to understand that.

Fantastic experience: Have a great staff friendly. Dr.Steve Sulfaro Dr. Alyssa Arban fixed my broken tooth on weekend. Just really like talking to Alyssa we have fun. Alyssa fixed wifes teeth and really cares.Karen has cleaned our teeth for a long time.Just great people working there.

Fantastic experience: So, I have a fear of dentists due to really, really bad experiences throughout my life with both dentists and doctors. I came in with high anxiety and they have taken such great care of me. They constantly reassure me, explains everything that’s going on in a way that I can understand, helps me understand ways of prevention, etc. Instead of just pushing through the procedures to get me out the door faster, they make sure I’m comfortable with anything I might need and give me breaks when I need them. I’ve only been with Dr. Alyssa, so I don’t know about the other dentist, but both her and all the dental assistants have made my fear of dentists lessen, and I hope soon completely gone.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sulfaro and Anna are nothing short of amazing. If I could give 6 stars I would. My fillings were completed quickly, and they made sure I was comfortable for the entire procedure.

Negative experience: SUPER DISAPPOINTED! I have been at this practice since I have been 5 years old and am now pushing 40. I have had great experiences here and I love the dental hygienists. We live 45 minutes away and have stayed here because we like it. However, they have now canceled both mine and my husband's appointments that were scheduled 6 months in advance with no willingness to accommodate us even though they canceled on us. I am very disappointed that there wasn't any apology on their end for the inconvenience and no willingness to try and fix it.

Fantastic experience: I love it here!❤️ They are all friendly and welcoming. I am also amazed how they able to fixed all my cavities and all teeth that I thought it needs to be pull out before. They’re amazing!

My decision to seek a second opinion from Dr. Sulfaro was instrumental in my decision to switch dentists. His impressive educational background and expertise were evident in his thorough examination and diagnosis. Unlike my previous dentist, who recommended a root canal, Dr. Sulfaro took a more conservative approach and filled the tooth instead. This decision saved me thousands of dollars, and I have not experienced any issues with that tooth in nearly a decade. Currently, I am under the care of Dr. Arban, and I highly recommend her. She possesses a unique blend of professionalism, compassion, and kindness, making every visit a comfortable and reassuring experience. Her warm demeanor, patience, and genuine interest in her patients' well-being are truly exceptional qualities that set her apart as an outstanding dentist. Negative experience: I have gone to this office for last 6 years. They have always been wonderful for my family up until the last year. Promises for calls back about my bills, referrals for my kids, and lastly changing my scheduled appts that THEY scheduled. They contacted me to change the schedule they made and couldn’t see my kids for an additional 5 months!!!!! Unacceptable to make my kids wait 11 mi rush for your scheduling problem. I work 50+ hours a week and have to make appts around all said things. I have to take the day off to get my kids to you as I am not local but CHOSE to stay with you all after me moved away. I called today to speak to the office mng after I received a text message stated you moved my appts to May. As a corporate employee for a corporation my ask is so better on the business end! You have fantastic drs and hygienists at this office. Find someone to run it better at the desk as it’s been a complete mess. We will not be back.

Fantastic experience: Merit Dental is an amazing dentist office. I have always had a phobia about going to see the dentist, but the staff here has actually help me overcome that fear! Everyone is kind and caring. The Hygienist are gentle; always double checking to see if anything‘s bothering me. The office staff is equally friendly and knowledgable. They know about insurance information and if they don’t have an answer they will find it out. Then contacted me to let me know the answer. Personally I’m extremely happy to have Merit Dental as my dentist!

Fantastic experience: Every time I bring my kids to the dentist they always love coming. Never do my kids say anything bad. My kids will even remind me hey mom we need dentist appointments made. Lol. The staff are always very nice and friendly and helpful. And always explain things if I don't understand something

Negative experience: Very disappointed as they have such great reviews. I scheduled my daughter an appointment with them. They asked if she had dental insurance. I stated yes. Healthy kids dental. I was at work at this time so I didn't have her insurance card on me, was told that was perfectly fine, and to call back with her information. I did the next day. I again stated that she had Healthy Kids through blue cross. Then proceeded to give the member ID and group number on her insurance. Was told everything was verified and good to go for her appointment. I then get a call from my mother that they refused to see her because they do not accept Healthy kids blue cross only Healthy kids delta. Would I have known from the beginning I would have never even wasted my time. Again, I'm not mad that they don't accept her plan I 100% understand that. I'm furious that I gave all insurance information over the phone 3 days before the appointment and was told everything was verified and good to go for her appointment. It just doesn't make sense. Wasted my time for an appointment she needed to have to start school on Monday.

Negative experience: No communication between the front desk and dental hygienist. My son got recent x-rays from another dentist. So switching over to Merit my son's first visit was only supposed to be an exam, and consult of the x-rays to see if he needed fillings. So the dental hygienist tries to takes my son back there right away for x-rays. Which insurance only pays for x-rays I believe once every 6 months and he'd already got x-rays a month ago at a prior dentist. Of course I asked why is he getting x-rays I communicated with 2 different people several times throughout the day before my son's appointment that we are using the x-rays from the prior dentists. The first thing wrong. Then she takes my son back and says she'll figure out what's going on with the x-rays. So I'm sitting back there with my son and she's examining his teeth, and starts cleaning them!! Omg, I asked why are you cleaning his teeth? He just got his teeth cleaned 5 weeks ago, and I stated several times to the front desk people that he was only coming there for an exam and a consultation about the x-rays from the prior dentist to see if he needs fillings that is it. Again, I said his insurance only pays for cleanings once every 6 months and I'm not paying for that cleaning, because that is not what he is here for! Felt like the damn twilight zone. I guarantee they'll try and bill the insurance company for the teeth cleaning. The incompetencey I seen there in less then an hour was truly scary. I would never return, as they don't seem to know what they're doing there. The dental hygienist tried to blame the front office for not communicating to her what was going on. Very unprofessional. Even if people at the front desk didn't communicate what was going on to her, it certainly wasn't written that he was there for a cleaning. Will not return. They did not charge me for the cleaning which I appreciate, but something tells me they're going to try and bill the insurance company. Wasnt a great experience. They didn't charge for the cleaning, but the lack of communication alone, it's not worth going back. The dentist was very nice.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful first visit! The waiting room is warm and inviting. There was a welcome board with my name on it when I walked in. The girls at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The hygienist was very gentle, I never felt a thing. Usually clinical rooms are dark and stuffy but the room I was in faced the water. The windows were cracked with a breeze of fresh air coming in, it was so warm and relaxing. The doctor and her assistant were great too. I came in for a clear aligner consultation not knowing I had just found my new dentist!

Fantastic experience: Bar none this place is the absolute best. As some one who avoided the dentist for nearly a decade and only went back once I broke a tooth I was very worried about going. All the staff was amazing and so kind, my tooth was basically rebuilt in under an hour with no pain at all and it looks better then the original. I've have started telling all my friends and family about Merit and I personally won't go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Amazing hygienists at this location and very friendly reception staff. Haven't been to the dentist in a few years and they didn't make me feel like a sub human for not doing so. Saw Dr Arden for the first time and she was amazing. Julie took xrays and Tina cleaned my teeth. Both of them were caring and friendly. Incredible staff, this is definitely worth every penny. If you need a dentist for advanced issues or just a teeth cleaning there is a reason this place has all 5 star reviews!! Will definitely be back!!

She was very nice on the phone and advised me that there was a cancellation and they could see me tomorrow! I jumped at the opportunity. I'm glad I did. Lynnette took care of me and made me feel comfortable as much as I don't like going to the Dentist. This was different. I was able to consult with Dr. Arban. She gave me great advice on some cosmetic options. Everyone was very proffesional. I left with a treatment plan to be executed within 2 weeks. Very pleased. Chris Barnett

I went to Merit Dental for the first time about 6 months ago due to an infection in my wisdom tooth and I was dreading having to go… but let me tell you, ALL of the staff here are so amazing! I just went back yesterday for a cleaning and I can honestly say I was excited to go, which is crazy for me since I’ve always feared the dentist lol. I wish I could remember my hygienist’s name because she deserves a shout out for how great and caring she is! Dr. Alyssa Arban is also so amazing! I highly recommend choosing Merit Dental!

Fantastic experience: Dr Arban and the whole staff were awesome. I had an emergency on a Friday before a holiday weekend. They were able to get me in right away and taken care of so I could enjoy my holiday. The doctor and hygienist were both so comforting and compassionate throughout the whole process and really put my anxiety at ease. I cannot recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient. I was treated with kindness and compassion. My visit was for a second opinion on (swelling gums around) a tooth that I have an issue on and had a previous root canal by another dentist a couple years ago that ignored the problem. I was very comfortable with the plan to get the tooth removed to avoid infection. Dr Sulfaro explained the step by step plan clean out of tooth for bone graft and for another tooth to be replaced over several months time. He was very patient and kind with all my questions. I felt better just knowing that he was there to help me!
