Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Dentistry by the Sea in Panacea and I was extremely pleased with the experience. The administrative staff were friendly and helpful. The hygienist, Ashley, was also friendly and very knowledgeable during the initial consult. She even fit me in for a cleaning. The dentist was equally as professional, and offered constructive advice to help my dental concerns. I am so glad I chose this office.

Fantastic experience: First Time visit....... When you arrive at the location in Panacea, Florida, the first thing you notice is how well the landscape is maintained, which immediately caught my attention, especially since I arrived just two minutes before my appointment. The office is located on a beautiful piece of land close to Dickerson Bay. Just looking out the windows and seeing nature around creates a calmer and less stressful environment, especially for people who feel anxious about going to the dentist. The place was clean, well maintained, and welcoming throughout. The staff was very nice and customer-oriented. Ms. Arredondo (Dentist) has a great bedside manner and immediately made me feel at ease. She was cordial and took the time to explain the plan of action after completing my exam and why she was recommending it. What I appreciated the most was that she (Ms. Arredondo) did not disregard my concerns about my gums, especially since I have dealt with the same issue since I was younger. That was a refreshing approach compared to other dentists I have seen in the past.

Negative experience: called to get a teeth cleaning they said the price was 180$ even sense i haven't been there they needed an X-ray for another 300$. dont care about the people only abt the money

Fantastic experience: Today was a great experience! I was greeted by smiling office staff. I arrived only a couple of minutes early but didn’t have wait more than 1 before I was called back. Ashley is an absolute pleasure as a hygienist. She is courteous, gentile, knowledgeable and great at carrying a conversation by herself.

Fantastic experience: 3/11/2025: This, by far, has been the best dental experience. They took the time to explain every step and procedure for the cleaning process and where the VA skipped or missed some treatment steps that would have been more beneficial earlier on for me. All of the staff are polite and attentive! I'm glad that I kept the appointment here! 01/2025: 3 star rating until I get a call, email or text as I've been trying to contact them since December when the VA community care approved them. I've used the Contact Us form, and left three voicemails. I have an appointment that is scheduled for me without anyone contacting me and I have informed them that I already have an appointment that day. 2/5/2025: I was able to speak with Laurie and have a new appointment scheduled. I'll update my rating after my visit. It took a bit of "phone tag" starting on 2/3 however we finally were able to connect. I'm still waiting for a reply. I'm hoping that this review will help me get someone to contact me. I've also reached out to the VA community care and told then that I'm having a hard time reaching a person and sent the screenshots of the contact us form and the phone call dates and times.

Negative experience: A terrible experience! Made our appointment and my regular dentist left the practice and a new unidentified dentist came in. They had no credentials on her and she misdiagnosed my tooth pain. Thank goodness my friend is a retired dentist and he found which tooth was in pain. I have complained but no response from them. Very unprofessional and will not recommend

Negative experience: I’ve been going to this practice for many years, ever since Dr. Turk. The new dentists’ that took over after Dr. Turk were great! I was always told I have great teeth and rarely need a filling. I can count the number of fillings I’ve had in the past 50 years with the fingers on one of my hands! There is a new Dentist taking over the practice again and all of a sudden I need to have 15 cavities filled! Over$4k worth of work. The dentist never even used the pick to poke at any of them! Guess they need to fund the purchase of the practice! Time to find a new dentist! I very rarely ever post a bad review on any online platform. But, this felt very fraudulent!

Fantastic experience: This place is Amazing, The staff seems to get along so well like they are family.. My Work was done by dr. Toby and he was great how he talked thru as he worked keep me more relaxed during a stressful time .. I'm always a Baby at the dentist, seeing needles, drills, really can stress me out, but the assistants were great and let me know everything was going to be ok.. and all the rooms have a bay view of the water so it's also less stressful.. I went to a horrible dental off prior to here called Aspen, it was bad the employees didn't get along and the chairs and machinery were not working or damaged..no one wanted to be there, making it horrible.. I avoided dentists after that.. I'm so Happy I found Dentistry by the Sea.. it's safe , clean and as minimal stress as a dentist visit can be .. Highly recommend 5 stars 10 stars

The only concern I’ve had are the quite low sitting chairs in waiting room. Post hip replacement patients as well as the elderly might find this too challenging.

(At no additional charges) l am a nighttime grinder . It’s working out for me so far. My follow-up appointments have been very important and they guarantee their work.12/2022 Spring 2021 My husband and I needed emergency services and were accommodated quickly. I had to use both Drs in my case and my husband has had to use one. They are both very professional and were able to get our needs met quickly! They have met our expectations so well that we are planning on returning (even though we live out-of-state) in order to finish our dental work. Indeed these dentists live up to our 5 star rating

After exray and consultation it was concluded that the teeth needed to come out. I am scheduled for early next week and hopefully the antibiotics will reduce the infection.
