My experience began with a friendly receptionist who provided excellent service with a smile (a rare thing these days), followed by a personable dental assistant who was gentle and friendly. Dr. Kim was very thorough in my exam and explaining everything to me. I was very pleased with my experience!

Fantastic experience: For years, I've had a humongous irrational fear of the dentist's. Up until I started going to Sound Dental, the people and doctors who work here are wizards at thier jobs. I hardly feel anything when they operate, Dr. Kim is quick and efficient when doing cavity work and fillings, a true professional. He even pulled my one and only wisdom tooth which only took 10 seconds! I've recommended Sound Dental to friends, family and coworkers. They're friendly and affordable! Thank you guys for curing me of my fear, and helping me fix my dental issues!

Fantastic experience: This was an emergency appointment I was feeling overwhelmed and the dental assistant was very nice and understanding. I was very impressed with Dr. Kim and staff they made me feel at ease. They explain my dental plan on what my insurance would cover and what I was responsible to pay out of pocket. They were very helpful and I would recommend anyone who’s looking for a good dentist.

Negative experience: Stay Away from this Dental office and be warned. He is a terrible and dishonest dentist. He has no idea what he's doing. He doesn't even know what Perio Maintenance teeth cleaning is, and spent perhaps just twenty minutes on my teeth for $250! He doesn't genuinely care about his patients. He had an attitude right when I came in. He refused to do scaling and planing and would only use the CaviTron when that is never sufficient to clean my teeth. A proper and professional Perio Maintenance cleaning always involves Scaling and Planing and very little use of the CaviTron. Once he knew that I had a poor cleaning, and I politely asked to have the areas where he was insufficient, he refused to see me to finish the job appropriately. Perhaps he doesn't know how to clean teeth. If he can't clean teeth, why would you trust him with anything else? And so, another dentist who feels Dr. Kim did a poor job, why would Dr. Kim not want to talk to him to get another opinion? Dr. Kim only spent 20 minutes on my teeth, if he was honest and knew I was unhappy, he would at least give me a 50% refund. I now have to pay another $250 to get my teeth appropriately cleaned. I will be reporting Dr.Kim to the Washington state attorney general.

Negative experience: I've had fillings. I've had wisdom teeth removed. 52 years of dental care. I have *never* been hurt again and again and again. From the cleaning to the flossing where rather than back and forth to ease the floss in downward pressure was applied until it snapped against my already swollen gums. The only reason I went here was the 4.9 rating. Dr Kim was not there so maybe he's where the 4.9 comes from. No way of knowing as I refuse to subject myself to that again. I hope none of you experience what I did.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kim was really easy to talk to, thorough when looking at my teeth and efficient in setting up an easy care plan to get all the work done that I need. I wish I could remember the dental assistants name because she was awesome too! Both of the receptionist were very nice and knowledgeable, answering all my questions and concerns. The communication at this office is some of the best I've experienced anywhere.

I was told I have to have my bottom 7 teeth removed I’ve just got 3 of them crowned from Albright Dental in Everett and Dr Kim doesn’t put you under anesthesia I can’t have them just pulled without, So they referred me to Everett Oral Surgery

Fantastic experience: As you enter the place, it gives you a feeling of peacefulness and relaxation. The staff is friendly and professional. The cleaning was done by Dr Kim. His assistant finished the polishing and floss. I noticed that both were meticulously doing their jobs without causing pain. I have gone to other places, and it feels like they are taking off little pieces of your gums with the instruments. The thought of going to the dentist makes me very anxious, and adding pain to the experience is just sad. I recommend this place to anyone that wants a place clean, relaxing and gentle hands for your oral care. Dr Kim explained all the x-rays. Let me tell you, he listened to my concerns and made a care plan for us to follow. Please find someone else if you think that you are not receiving the care you deserve.

Nikki, Molly, Dr. Kim and the rest of the staff are amazing! I convinced my husband to switch to Sound Dental as well. The Membership Club program for those without dental insurance is a good deal.

Fantastic experience: I was passing through town from Colorado and developed a bad tooth. I called around to get an immediate appointment, BTW, it's now afternoon, and the Team at Sound Dental got me in the very next morning. They evaluated my condition and discovered I needed a root canal. They called the other office who got me in at 7:40 the next morning. Within 30 hours I was taken care of. Thank you Team Sound Denistry!! Heck, I couldn't get that kind of service from my own hometown dentist. You guys ROCK!! Thanks again. BTW, I'm doing great.
