Fantastic experience: First let me say....I hate going to the dentist or a doctor!! Literally 10 yrs or longer since I went!! Today i went to Sussex Dental to have a tooth pulled. I was scared but after 5 days of pain I had to go. Im so glad I went there. Dr. Emma was absolutely great and the girl who did my xrays was Amazing !! Im sorry I forgot her name (because I was scared and nervous) They were a Blessing!! They truly made a difference for me!! Both understood i was nervous and was patient with me. I am looking forward to going back !! Thank You so much!!

Fantastic experience: I can only review Wendy, my hygienist, who has always been incredibly professional, gentle, kind and does a phenomenal job every single time I've seen her in the past 23+ years. I have confidence in her expertise and trust her 100%. I have not had any need for the new dentists at this office yet, so cannot give a review on any of them. The office is clean and I was taken on time. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating.

Did the work and now, months later, I am still so happy. All of my family now uses SDC for their dental hygiene and medical needs. Would not go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: These people are phenomenal. I have massive anxiety when it comes to any dental work, so developing a major dental infection requiring oral surgery and a root canal was terrifying for me. From the moment I arrived, everyone was truly incredible and went above and beyond to explain each detail to me, to make sure I was comfortable and calm, and did every possible thing to ensure a pain free experience. From the reception staff who made sure my insurance coverage was maximized to Donna, the hygienist and Dr F, the amazing dentist, everyone was truly fabulous at their job and so genuinely caring.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Yitzchak Feigenbaum is that he is precise and also a compassionate healthcare provider. I felt like I was in New York City even though I was in Sussex New Jersey. He explained my options and he also showed consideration for my overall health as well as what I was having work on. The emphasis is minimal discomfort. My procedure was very difficult because I had a difficult situation... but he's very resourceful and found a workaround. I could give no higher compliment being a licensed X-ray tech in the past.. I will be having all my work done here at a pace I can handle. I was also treated very well by the receptionist staff.

Fantastic experience: I love Sussex Dental! The staff is amazing as well as the hygienist and doctors. I recently went in for a cleaning, which was pain-free with amazing results… My teeth came out so clean and white! I had to go back a few weeks later for a filling. The Dr. did a great job that was very involved considering the cavity was so deep. She took her time and was able to save my tooth! A big thank you to the Dr. and staff!

Positive experience: Staff friendly and did a great job

Negative experience: Was charged for a Cone Beam CT that I did not fully understand would not be covered by my insurance. The office gave me a jump drive that was supposed have this CT saved to it and when I brought it to Dr Applebaum for my Root Canal today, there is nothing on the jump drive. I have called and left a VM to rectify this. I really think the office should have more clearly explained this $460.00 expense. I also don’t understand why my dentist referred me to another dentist vs an Endodontist for my tooth that was going to need a root canal. Very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Dr F is amazing!! The staff is awesome!! They make you feel so comfortable. If you need a caring and passionate dental center go to Sussex Dental. They are the best.

Fantastic experience: It was time for me to have a local dentist for my routine dental care. I have been going down to the Morristown area for specialists as I have a long history of root canals, crowns and implants. Lucky for me when I called Sussex Dental the receptionist was able to fit me in later that day. Apparently an old filling in a front tooth was in the process of falling apart and needed to be refilled. Dr. Emma Cho took care of me and I couldn't be more pleased with her care and the cosmetics of the filling. Dr. Cho made sure that there was no discomfort when numbing my tooth up in order to drill. I say this for those that are terrified of a dental experience. After my visit I can honestly say that (as someone who has spent many hours in a dental chair) nobody should have any hesitation to make an appointment at Sussex Dental. I couldn't be more pleased with my care and now have a local dentist.They have general dentists and specialists, the latest equipment, and a top notch staff from the front office to the tech assistants. By the way, general dentistry involves much more than the name leads you to believe. Look at the website to see the bio of the dentists and their educational backgrounds. You will feel much better knowing that the dentist that looks after you has had impressive training in order to do what they do.

Fantastic experience: Wendy was wonderful. I have not been to a dentist in ten years and she had her work cut off for her. Extremely gentle and knowledgeable

Negative experience: Hygienist Marcie is absolutelycmm the best, very good at her job!! Front desk crew was ok.But after i got there then i was told about Dr. Yasmin who has left the practice 2 months ago. This is now the second time I have been put in this position since this company took over. So no I’m not happy being treated like this. I feel like I was treated lied to. At least you could have told patients the truth. Then let us make the decision if we want to keep our appointment.

Fantastic experience: My usual dentist was unavailable and referred me to Sussex Dental as a backup emergency service. Of course, I was very nervous about visiting an unfamiliar dental office. To my relief, the Sussex office staff was friendly and welcoming. The xray technician was exceptionally personable and efficient. The dentist, Dr. F, immediately put my mind at ease with his friendly smile and professional manner. I highly recommend Sussex Dental, and believe me, this is quite the compliment coming from someone like me who is extremely anxious regarding dental work.

The doc and hygienist were very warm and caring. They me feel comfortable and eased my worry. If you also struggle with dentist anxiety give them a try!

Negative experience: Not the same place when Dr. Tom Lapinsky was there. Almost, if not all, the original staff is gone. Constant texts prior to exam day received about charges for no show appointments which may lead one to wonder if this is a problem.New unfriendly faces at reception and dentists come & go. Not a hint of the holidays on the 9th of December. Very disappointing overall.

Positive experience: This was my first time in the newly renovated office. The environment is bright, very sterile looking. I miss the old staff but understand changes are sometimes necessary. I was disappointed that I didn’t get to see Dr Lapinski one last time, after being a long-time patient. Future visits will determine if I continue with this practice. Update: 6 months have passed and I needed to be seen for a problem. I called late afternoon and was given an appointment for the next morning. The assistant was pleasant and put me at ease. I met Dr Levine for the first time. He explained everything and addressed my problem. I was happy with my visit and hope to avoid any emergencies before my next checkup. Update: I have now visited the new version of Sussex Dental 4 times. The staff are friendly and as, always, Wendy does a great job with my cleanings. She is professional, friendly, makes the visit stress-free. Dr Yasmin is also very nice, gentle. Update 2025: I continue to see Wendy for my cleanings. She is always fun to talk with, and good and efficient at her job. I had a tooth that lost a filling, and was able to get an appointment with Dr Yasmin later the same day. Once again, the chairside assistant was friendly and put me at ease. Dr Yasmin was professional, pleasant and efficient. She repaired my tooth without novacaine, yet painless, and explained her work as she proceeded. I am pleased with the result and will miss Dr Yasmin.

Negative experience: I was a longtime patient when Dr.Lapinski and Dr. Anderson owned Sussex Dental and always received excellent care. Unfortunately, since the practice changed ownership, my experience has been the complete opposite. After seeing the new dentist, my previously beautiful teeth were left damaged. A repair attempt was made, but it only made things worse, and now I need to see a cosmetic specialist to correct the results. The office refused to take responsibility or fix the work properly. They even charged for an emergency visit that was not an emergency! It’s heartbreaking to see what used to be a wonderful local dental office turn into a money-driven operation. I would never recommend or return to this practice.

Negative experience: I submitted a request for an appointment since I have been very busy at work and kept forgetting to call them. Received confirmation that they had the request but never got a call, text or email to schedule.

Negative experience: They didn't bill my insurance, they just charged me. They never explained that. Then I got some medicine in my tooth, which they charged me $200 for. They don't explain the cost for their services. I'm actually going to file a complaint, because they are listed ony insurance as participating, but they aren't.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency appointment with Sussex Dental and being a new patient I was so impressed with the speed of getting my broken tooth fix and the great care here. In 3 visits I was done! Dr. Cupo and the team are friendly and male you feel as if you have been a patient coming here for year. I actually look forward to more visits.

She carefully explained what would happen first ( X rays and cleaning) followed by examination and discussion of treatment plan with Dr. Fiegenbaum. Fantastic experience: I don’t get anxious much at all but going to the dentist my anxiety is a 10! I needed a root canal and Dr Feigenbaum is the absolute best. He explained everything in detail, told me every step he was going to take, and made sure I was ok through the whole procedure. His tech, Stephanie was also great with me and super nice. I don’t want to have to see them again but if I ever need anything like that again, they will be my first call.

Fantastic experience: I visited the Center for a required tooth extraction - no fun, of course - but Sussex Dental Center - including check-in, the Dental Tech and the Oral Surgeon - made me immediately feel comfortable. They set everything up, including numbing, and in just a few minutes, I was all was done. I can no longer use the saying, "It is like pulling teeth", because there was nothing unpleasant about my visit or experience. Thank you, Sussex Dental Center!

Fantastic experience: i HATE going to the dentist. i am autistic/adhd and have anxiety. the whole experience always gets my heart rate going. although i still dont enjoy the discomfort of having your mouth open for so long and the sounds of the drill makes me want to scream, Dr. Feigenbaum made my experience SOOOO much better. all my past dentists always had horrible bed side manners, shaming you, being judgemental, and just overall rude. NOT Dr. F!! he made me feel comfortable, made sure i had all the things i needed to keep me calm (headphones, stim toy), and checked in with me frequently. He is kind, empathetic, and his voice and the way he explains things makes you feel more calm. Highly recommend him!!

First I did not have an appointment either medical insurance and managed the time for the visit plus give me an estimate .solve my issue and set up the medication as soon I left the facility.
