Moses Lake Pediatric Dentistry

Positive experience: I been taking my kids to this dentist for 13 years and sadly they are not going to get seen here anymore because they don't take their insurance anymore. I have always had great experience and today was not the exception. Only thing was the anesthesiologist she wasn't rude but I would expect her to at least talk a little to make the kids feel safe and acknowledge the parent in the room. She was just cold and very quiet. Didn't even say hi when walking in or out.

Fantastic experience: I have been at the Pediatric Dental Clinic for more than 10 years. My children love receiving treatment there. I was amazed to see how well Dr. Alec Montenayer works with the dental hygienist, Emily. Both are not only well-educated but also talented in performing dental work. My son needed a buildup on his front lower tooth, and they both did an amazing job. I highly recommend bringing your kids to this clinic, as the team is well-trained, educated, and friendly.

Negative experience: Do not use this dentist. The pain has lasted 4 day's. 3 very bad nights so far. And the dentist has horrible breath

They took the time to talk him through everything they were doing and never once got annoyed with him. They made him feel super comfortable and he had an amazing first procedure experience.

Fantastic experience: We recently took our daughter to this dental office and had a great experience, thanks to Erika. We had originally planned to go to a different dentist, but Erika referred us back to this office and helped get us scheduled. She was very helpful, answered all of my questions, and clearly explained the next steps for our daughter’s dental care. Erika was pleasant, welcoming, and made us feel confident in our decision. I would absolutely recommend this dental office, especially Erika.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is so compassionate and understanding. I drive an hour to come here because they make me feel safe. The front staff is very patient and I love that they schedule siblings together. The dental staff is gentle and explains everything to me, but also to the kids themselves. They're rewarded for being "sugar bug free"

Negative experience: I like the clinic, but the last time I went I left worried. I took my children, and we had two different assistants. One of them didn't put the protective gear on my son when taking x-rays, and I left worried about the assistant's carelessness. I would like them to protect the children more.

Negative experience: We loved this clinic, we really did. My kids were comfortable and excited about going. But after today, we are switching dentists. My child had sedated dental work here in May 2024, and during the procedure the dentist also cut her frenulum. We were told it was done because they “needed more room” for the dental work, but there was no explanation about possible impacts or any follow-up instructions. The moment my child came home and spoke, her speech sounded different. I hoped it would improve after healing, but 1.5 years later she was still struggling to be understood. At her 4-year checkup, her doctor referred us for a speech evaluation, and she now needs 6 months of speech therapy to help correct the issues. I later learned that when a frenulum is cut, there are typically exercises or therapy recommended — none of which was ever mentioned to us. I called the office to share what happened so they could better inform future patients, but I was dismissed and told I was “wrong” despite a speech professional diagnosing the issue. The manager was rude and seemed uninterested in even hearing the concern. We will be switching dentists. I hope this review encourages the office to communicate more clearly with families and take concerns seriously.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely hands down the best dentist office I’ve ever brought my 5 kids to! We have been going here for 5 years! We go minimum every six months with 5 kids and have never had a bad experience! My 2 sons have very rare medical conditions and the front desk and Dr. Cox have went out of their way to coordinate and commute with their specialist to get work done! Just amazing work! She is so great with the kids annd took the time to show both my kiddos the tool she was using! Even though my son has his moment of fear, he still comes out of there with a smile on his face!

Fantastic experience: Since we moved here this is the only dental place we've been with and tell people about! They're always nice even in the early days we go there for dental visits. Brittany Barajas is always so helpful and friendly, even when we don't have her checking our kids for cavities, she always makes the time to address us and make lil chats with my kiddos. We love coming here.

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love going to Moses Lake Pediatric Dentistry! My 2 and 4 year old boys so look forward to dentist appointments, which is such a gift. Madison was amazing, and such an encouraging personality for my son’s first time in the big boy chair. He’s already asking when we get to go back. Dr. Cox is also so welcoming and amazing with kids.. my whole family highly recommends!

Fantastic experience: I was in yesterday with my granddaughter for her cleaning, I cannot express enough how much I love this place for not only my children but my grandchildren too! The receptionist Iyazely was so nice, greeted us with a smile right when we came in and got us all checked in right away. Best pediatric dentist in town!

Negative experience: The doctor proposed to do root canals on almost all my son's teeth. We didn't agree with such decision and now they won't make appointment for my other son. Discrimitory and inconsiderate.

Negative experience: The dentist’s & assistants are greats but the receptionists. Wow! So rude & condescending every time I come. Over the past 10 years, they still haven’t improved with their attitudes.

Fantastic experience: I’’m always leery taking the kids to a new place but the entire staff was wonderful with my 6, 3, and 2yo. The office set up was easy to wrangle them all at the same time, the hygienist was kind and patient, and dentists were great.

Positive experience: Our first time being in this place for my son’s first appointment and it was overall good. Very fast, we were in and out. The receptionists were not welcoming and talking loudly amongst themselves. One of the 3 that greeted me used a very forward tone when speaking, came off as rude. The dental assistant was very professional and sweet and interacted kindly with my son. Same with Dr. Cox. It was also awesome to see a good relationship between the assistant and doctor and learning that he’s like a grandad to her kids. Overall, good experience and I think we’ll be going back.

It is always a good experience here. My son is very scared of the dentist and the way they handle him is incredible. I highly recommend any kiddos to come here!

Fantastic experience: I have been bringing my son here since he could be seen, so the last 5 years, and have no complaints. The staff is so friendly and they always have fun stuff going on, which makes it an even better experience for the kiddos. Favorite memories for us would be the time that he won sugar bug of the month, and another time we visited we were surprised to see they were celebrating national lollipop day. The office was well decorated with different colored balloon lollipops and more, which I thought was really fun. And of course the indoor slide is always a fan favorite!

They did a really good job on cleaning on my baby, who doesn't like nobody to touch his teeth. He even asks me when we gonna go next time.

Fantastic experience: My three children have been coming here since they got their first tooth. They are always so exited to come to the Dentist. My oldest who is 6 has had to get two different procedures done, one was done asleep when he was a lot younger. And last year he had to get 4 teeth removed and the team was AMAZING explaining everything in a way a child would understand, I was more nervous than my son who did not shed a tear thanks to the reassurance of the team and such great Dentist!! They are always great and I would never go anywhere else but them

A couple months before my daughter turned 3, we brought all her pacifiers into the office and they gave her so many adorable prizes for giving them up. She still tells everyone about it! Highly recommend

Negative experience: Update: got a second opinion from my dentist, he was only able to find 2 of the 4 cavities they said my daughter had ! And upon doing further research of the liquid sedation they use in this office it is extremely dangerous and comes with a lot of risk, many kids have died using it. So absolutely in no way would I allow my child to be put at such high risk for sedation over small tiny cavities. Do not recommend this place at all, sedating your child makes their job easier, as a parent do your research it is extremely risky stuff ! Completely appalled, we have seen them 3 times. First 2 my daughters teeth per the dentists own words “no sugar bugs” so no cavities. Today she had 4, she’s 4 years old and brushes and flosses twice daily as I do it for her! But because we have insurance now they want to schedule appointments for fillings and fully sedate her!! What the actual hell! How can you fully sedate a child for cavities that aren’t there. We have a second opinion schedule already with my dentist. This is a money making operation. Who got very snotty with with my husband when he declined all of their “work”. Will update with second opinion from the other dentist. Money hungry at the well being of your child do not recommend

Positive experience: Unfortunately, I would leave a higher star review, but the front receptionist girls need to work on some customer service skills. I've now had "communication" issues twice in a month. One being where my child couldn't be seen. This seems to be a problem that needs addressed.

Fantastic experience: I've only been here 4 times now and every time I'm always left with a great experience, never have I felt any negative judgement, staff is amazing, everyone is always super friendly and welcoming. Being a mom of children on the spectrum, it can be pretty hard finding good dentists... this place is 10/10. Dr. Cox is amazing he went above and beyond to help save some of my daughters teeth when he easily couldve just pulled them, he always considers their best interest when working with patients and I am so grateful for that, her teeth are gorgeous, thank you!

Fantastic experience: Great place for children!! My daughter would not let her previous take x-rays or clean her teeth. Upon her first visit here they made her feel comfortable and where very friendly. She got her x-rays and even had a great cleaning with no issues from her.

I took my son in because I noticed a fat bump on his gum and didn’t know what it was and they were able to help diagnose the problem, thankfully he’s safe now and doing better. The whole staff was amazing to me especially Magda for helping me with all of my scheduling questions.

My son is very squirmy and they made him feel safe and talked to him through the whole process in a way that a 3 year old understands, and without the doctors and assistants showing frustration. Magda the receptionist was very nice and welcoming and makes the environment an all around pleasing experience.
