Fantastic experience: I just had my first appointment yesterday. I was pleasantly impressed with the admin assistants, techs, hygienist, and the dentist - Dr. McHugh. The office is roomy, clean, and cheerful. I really appreciated the pleasant atmosphere and feeling of competent treatment. I left with a clear understanding of my follow-up care. I highly recommend!

A special shout out to Lindsey, for walking me through everything and helping me understand. However once I was in the office and speaking with the office staff, the dental hygienist, and the dentist I felt no judgement or pressure. Everyone was kind, thorough, and helpful. I will absolutely continue going to this office and I highly recommend you do too!

Fantastic experience: Finding a dentist is one of the more challenging endeavors of adult life. My husband and I have not had tremendous luck. Our across-the-street neighbors raved about Oak Meadows Dental, so I decided to give them a whirl (my husband’s whirl-giving is in a few weeks). I was so happily surprised. The office is beautifully clean and inviting, the hygienist I worked with, Brooke, was attentive and mindful and knowledgeable. I was given a numbing agent for my sensitive teeth to increase my comfort and soothe my nerves during the cleaning, and the doctor was happy to thoroughly answer my probing dental questions. I feel quite lucky to have found Oak Meadows Village Dental.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service on the phone. I am getting USPS mail from them trying to recruit someone who used to live at my address. He has been dead for 10 years. I called their phone number. The person who answered was rude. She said that the mailing that they sent out was not their responsibility, that it was the postal service. She needs to figure out a way to edit her mailing list. If this is indicative of the rest of their service, I would not recommend using them ever!

Fantastic experience: I can only said nice things about it. the people there as well as the dentists go out of their way to make you comfortable, explaining all your concerns and give the time needed to do that. I will tell friends and family to attend this Dentistry if needed and they seem to cover about all the different type of work needed for you. Highly recommend!

Julia and Dr. McHugh consistently make me feel comfortable—they truly listen, take the time to answer questions, and genuinely care about their patients and the quality of their work.

Negative experience: Been a few years since been here but seemed like a money grab was told I needed a few root canals and wisdom teeth removals total cost would be a few thousand got a second opinion and the new place saw no need for any root canals or to remove wisdom teeth.

Positive experience: Julia made me very comfortable she made me feel very confident on the work they were gonna do on my denture and such a very Pleasant gal !!!

I really liked the new(er) dentist (and I can't remember his name), but he was great at communicating what he was doing during my visit. Caitlyn also assisted him and she was awesome to work with and had great communication as well. Gentle and efficient!

They were able to see me immediately and I am now scheduled for a serious procedure in 2 days! Everyone there is very professional and friendly. They even walked my dog!

Great communication, friendly, and lots of skill demonstrated throughout the procedure. Getting a crown sucks but if you need to have it done; I highly recommend this dental office

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Oak Meadows for the last year and a half and have had nothing but THE best experience! I am terrified of the dentist, but since I have been coming here, I am no longer afraid to have work done. Everyone from Dr. McHugh to the office staff is great, friendly and makes you feel comfortable and welcoming. Julia has been doing some work on my teeth and she has been phenomenal!! She is so caring and constantly checks to make sure you are doing okay. I recommend Oak Meadows to everyone!!

Fantastic experience: I am having a complicated crown revision. Dr McHugh was very straightforward about the plan and concerns/unknowns (because my old dentist couldn't give them good information). I was impressed that they had done research and were prepared for multiple contingencies. Julia walked me through everything she was doing. She was kind and thorough. The whole office works as a team and I felt well cared for. I absolutely recommend them!

She was awesome and very caring to help make the whole process more comfortable. They also gave me a quote for my out of pocket expenses so there would be no surprises with the billing.

Fantastic experience: I made an appointment for a painful tooth and they were able to get me in for an appointment quickly. I was a new patient and they made the process so easy to take care of prior to the appointment that when I arrived they were able to see me right away. The doctor and assistant were so good at explaining everything, and made me very comfortable with the tooth extraction. The entire staff is very friendly and I had a good experience with this group of professionals. I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for a few years and the staff is always super friendly. They are quick to respond and work with you on schedules. Yesterday I had my cleaning appointment and am super sensitive and get some anxiety with dental pain, my dental tech Jazmin did amazing at being patient and helping me through the sensitivity. It was a little longer than normal due to my pain and I very much appreciated the care/patience I received.

Fantastic experience: My dental assistant Caitlyn has been extremely patient with all the back and forth between the lab, a previous dentist, and Dr McHugh. Caitlyn does a wonderful job explaining what she will be doing and I have less anxiety with her than most dental assistants. Dr. McHugh does a wonderful job explained my situation and options to me in a way I could understand. The front office staff are a cheerful bunch. The financial piece appears to be straightforward but we will see how a primary and secondary pay of my treatment plan.

Positive experience: The staff was very positive and friendly. They were also helpful in helping me understand what their process was and what they can do. I was surprised however to find that if I need a root canal I would have to go somewhere else do so. I don’t think I’ve been to a dentist that couldn’t do all.

Fantastic experience: I went here today as a new patient and I have BAD anxiety about the dentist. It's so bad that I work myself up to the point of vomiting but Brooke, the hygienist, was phenomenal and talked me through it all. I give her a ton of props for being able to handle me. She was so nice and made the experience so much easier. Dr Q and his assistant Kaitlin (probably spelled her name wrong) were fantastic as well. Dr Q explained and showed me everything. He was so pleasant and Kaitlin was great with telling and explaining things to me too. Mallory was so friendly too. Everyone there is so kind and friendly. I am SO glad I came here. I found my dental place. Will definitely go back. I will recommend this place for sure.

They made sure to laugh and include me in on everything they were doing. I will say they do not pressure you into work not needed. I will definitely go back. Thank you staff.

Negative experience: My son came in and has never had a problem with the dentist or orthodontist’s over the years. He left so annoyed. The girl was so rough on his gums and he jumped. She asked if it was sensitive there and he said yes, so she actually poked him hard in that exact spot! He nearly jumped out of his chair. It was like she went out of her way to hurt him. For the rest of the day his teeth and gums hurt so bad. And honestly the exact same thing happened to me last few times I came in. It would be a simple cleaning and I would say how sensitive my gums are and they would stab and poke in those exact areas to the point where I’m in tears. I already have super bad anxiety going to dentists and that’s why! It’s never happened anywhere else we’ve been.

Fantastic experience: I really like this dentist. And like most people, I abhor going to dentists. The awesome humans in the front reception/office and Angela the hygienist are all good at what they do and friendly! I was sad Dr Wolford moved on but happy with the people I work with here, recommending Oak Meadows Dental.

Negative experience: Be careful….when I went to my appointment they had a full list of so much that needed to be done to my teeth. They charged upfront without waiting to see what insurance would do. I got a crown with them which is still not right a year later. When I switched to another office I found out quite a bit of what I was told was not correct. I’m glad I left.

Positive experience: The overall experience was great. The facilities were nice. I really like the dental hygienist who explained a lot and did a good job cleaning my teeth. My concern was that in my initial appt they took a lot of X-rays and I didn’t have an estimate of the cost of those. So I’m worried what my bill will be. The dentist also did a good job overall but gave me an estimate of thousands of dollars of work she said I needed when I had not had any issues or had other competent dentists share their concerns. I am switching dentists due to locations. After all these high estimates of costs, I was told the dentist was leaving the practice. They did schedule a consult with the new dentist but I would have appreciated more communication about this change before coming in.

Fantastic experience: Lots of nice, friendly people here. They sincerely care about their clients and the services they're providing, and that shows. Like many dental offices nowadays, they sell an "insurance" policy that basically just lowers the high retail prices down to (still high) lower prices. I may still go back there because the good experience can't be guaranteed if I go somewhere else. Quality is hard to find!

I think they could maybe improve upon some communication and getting prepared with insurance, but I know that's a game as well, so I don't really blame the office staff... From start to finish the process was smooth, with clear communication on booking my appointment, creating a care plan, and explaining the various options. For someone who had high dental anxiety after not being to a dentist in a decade, they took wonderful care of me, and I’m so glad I finally made an appointment and got the care I needed. I haven’t been this happy with my smile in a long time and I’m forever grateful for the entire team! If you are anxious about dentists and getting work done, I highly suggest Oak Village Dental to put you back on track!

Negative experience: I went in for my routine cleaning and learned my hygienist and dentist are no longer at the practice. My past hygienist, Denise spent a very long time cleaning my teeth and getting them exceptionally clean. Additionally, the dentist would spend an appropriate amount of time ensuring everything looked healthy. The new hygienist was nice, yet she spent very little time cleaning my teeth. The dentist, also polite, spent even less time checking them. They were running behind schedule yesterday, and I did tell them I needed to leave by a certain time, so possibly they shortened their normal clean and check due to my request. Overall, I was disappointed in the change. Prior to this visit, I’ve had no issues.

Fantastic experience: I received the most comprehensive examination I have ever had in a dental office. The hygienist was very good at explaining everything she was doing and why. I left there knowing what needed to be done for my teeth in the future. All the staff was very helpful.
