Fantastic experience: I was very pleased at the efficiency of the team. The ladies at the front desk were kind. ! My dental tech/hygienist was a Sweetheart!!! This is the second time I have seen this dentist. I wish I could recall her name but I absolutely LOVE her! She is beautiful, kind, professional, and really seems to care about her patients. She is one out of two of the best dentist I have ever been to. As long as she is there I will continue to use Vernon Smiles!

Fantastic experience: While I don’t enjoy going to the dentist, I appreciated the dentist’s advice and honesty. She wasn’t out to do the most procedures but what I actually needed. I really like that. Office staff was also very friendly, I almost enjoyed it. Definitely will be bringing my kids here.

Fantastic experience: The staff and dentist were so professional, nice, patient and understanding with my daughter who has anxiety issues. They took excellent care of her and got the urgent issue treated and she will be going back to get some cavities filled on some baby teeth next appointment. I am so glad we have a great dentist in our town so I don't have to drive far out for dental appointments. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Negative experience: My son was seen for a tooth extraction that took less than 5 minutes for removal and was charged $425!!! He doesn't have insurance, but even so this seems VERY excessive. We will not be back and I will take every opportunity to inform my friends and acquaintances of the over priced care provided here. I also question what is being billed when a patient does have insurance. FRAUD comes to mind...

Fantastic experience: Dr Alekhya Patagarla is beyond remarkable and her staff, as well. They took me in as a walk-in and was very patient with my dental assessment, took time to listen to what was important to me, was sensitive to my anxiety, and DID WHAT OTHERS SAID WAS NOT POSSIBLE! The exam was very thorough and made me feel comfortable. I cannot express how awesome the doc and staff were. I would recommend Dr Alekhya Patagarla to anyone, no matter their issue or past experiences, and dare to compare. This is definitely a gold star and my forever dentist home. Negative experience: The dentist that worked with my special needs kids was extremely annoyed by how sensitive my kids are to cleanings. She was dismissive and overall, just demanding with them instead of taking her time and working/talking through it. Afterwards, she ended up referring us to a “specialty” clinic that won’t see them due to their age. Super helpful. We’ve been to Vernon smiles before with a different dentist that was excellently patient with my kids. Not sure what happened to empathy and kindness in this practice but it clearly wasn’t there today.

Fantastic experience: Dr and staff are always very kind, professional and pleasant to work with. It's a long drive for me, but that's living in a rural community.

Fantastic experience: Called this morning to see if they had any openings due to a very painful broken tooth. I had an appointment the next hour. Staff was quite friendly and the dentist on duty was polite, informative, and very down to business. After x-rays she gave me the options on repairing or pulling the tooth, I chose to have it pulled. Once I completely numbed up the extraction only took about 5 minutes. Sutures put in, prescription in hand, paid my co-pay, and I was out the door pain free. Coming from a person who does not enjoy going to the dentist it was honestly a good experience. Now it's ice cream time.

Fantastic experience: We had to wait 10-15 minutes and were taken right back to an exam room. The assistant was very gentle and explained to Mason about the X-rays. The dentist came in quickly and examined his teeth. The assistant put on the fluoride and explained to Mason what she was doing. She made us a 6 month appointment at the time we wanted and explained the charges, I signed and was on our way.

Fantastic experience: Went to get my teeth check out due to toothache, had to get a wisdom tooth taken out and it was quick and painless (at the moment at least) I know im gonna be sore a day later but they took care of me and I didnt even know they were done within 5 minutes!

Negative experience: I generally do not post bad reviews..:but this time I’m making an exception! I had a VERY TRAUMATIC tooth extraction that has caused me EXCRUCIATING PAIN!! I’m now having to see a maxikofacial oral surgeon. The female demtist at Vernon Smiles has damaged my upper jaw bone so severely that the bone is completely exposed, infected and requiring $8,000 worth or reconstructive surgery AFTER what my insurance will pay!! I’ve been in excruciating pain for a week! She was supposed to extract another tooth the same day, but told me to reschedule because it was taking too much time. PKEASE…avoid this place!! They have caused me unnecessary pain and thousands of dollars I shouldn’t have had to spend!!

Negative experience: Took my 3 year old for a check up and the dentist is definitely not kid friendly. Didn’t say a word to my son. Just sat down , opened his mouth and was in the room for about 3 mins total ….

Negative experience: I came in today with hopes of getting 2 teeth pulled but Vernon Smiles was a "Waste Of My Time", he couldn't pull or repair the 2 teeth I complained of, but he wanted to fill 2 cavities that I didn't know I had & of course clean my teeth. Go to a real dentist if you don't have time to play with this one!!

Fantastic experience: We love Vernon smiles there is a new dentist here and he loves what he does and is thuro in checking your teeth. He makes it very relaxing which is great for someone who has always had dental anxiety along with PTSD. Most of the time I need to schedule where my kids won't miss school and they always are able to get us in all together. There's no where else id rather go.

Negative experience: Took my son today to get his bottom front teeth repaired from an old injury. Both teeth were broken on the tops, sharp, jagged and looked obviously broken. The teeth were fixed previously from another dentist out of state and looked absolutely perfect until those fillers chipped away over time. When he got done “repairing” his teeth they looked the same.. broken and uneven. I asked the dentist and he said they were fine I know better and was talked to as if they were fixed “good enough.” About 4 hours later at home thw filling or “repair” work he did fell out!! 2 appointments and time waisted at this place just to have to find another dentist to actual do something to fix this. I will never go back there again!! If no stars were an option I would have chosen 0

Negative experience: I came in last week and the new dentist was SUPER aggressive, almost as if he was angry with me. I've never had a cleaning hurt that badly. I was literally shaking from anxiety. I would not go back here and I'd be really skeptical about taking kids here.

Positive experience: Lady’s in front are great! But the dentist went to see a walk-in that came in after us, while we waited extra long to even be seen. Rest of staff was friendly enough

Fantastic experience: 05/24/2023, today my 10 year old daughter had to get some illings. Due to past traumatizing experiences with past dental offices she was scared and nervous. When we arrived for the visit all her fears melted away to an extent. They let me sit with her and hold her hand through the entire process which only took about 35 minutes. My daughter is no longer scared of the dentist. He was so kind and caring and made sure that when she was hurting he stopped immediately and made sure she was OK before continuing. I myself have had issues with dentists but my whole family will be going back to vernon smiles. This was the best experience ever! Thank yall so much for being a great and compassionate dentist office.

Fantastic experience: I visited Vernon Smiles today (4/11/23), with a painful tooth and a swollen jaw. I'm actually terrified of the Dental Office, due to previous dental office experiences. However, Cynthia and Dianne (receptionists) were very kind, professional and courteous during my check in. The Dental Assistants working today were Joy and Vanessa. Joy assisted me today and she was "Superb!" She was extremely Professional! She had the natural ability, to sense my fear. She immediately ensured me that everything was going to be ok. She kept me informed, throughout the entire experience, explaining every process and procedure. She is the Best! My fears were gone, before the Dentist entered the room. The Dentist was also very Professional, Informative and Gentle with his exam. Upon completion of the exam, Joy explained my treatment plan, discussed possible charges and ensured my medications were sent to the pharmacy. Today, the Vernon Smiles Staff changed my perception, of receiving dental treatment. I highly recommend Vernon Smiles to anyone or any family. I will be back. Norris

Negative experience: The worst experience I have ever had, first they wait to verify my insurance until 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment, they never get it verified, then the dentist tried said I can not be seen until I bring back some paper, so they want me to reschedule the appointment as I'm waiting and dealing with wisdom tooth pain. I will never go back to Vernon Smiles and I'm telling everyone I know to not go there hopefully they loose enough business so they are forced to close forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I recently moved back to this area from Dallas and did not expect to find a dentist in this area that I would love. I’m happy to say that Vernon Smiles really changed my opinion and had now become my preferred dental care location. The staff is beyond kind and helpful especially Rosie.

Negative experience: Was not satisfied with the cleaning. I left feeling as though my teeth were not properly cleaned. I still could feel some of the tarter buildup on the back teeth. He did not polish or floss his cleaning is approximately 10 mins. I did not receive this type of service at DDS dental in wichita. I tried this business so I wouldn't have to go to wichita from vernon. I will not be back.
